Purchased a “new” cordless hedge cutter. Received it in good time, although the box was battered and broken due to no additional packaging. I checked the manufacturing date on the item, to find it was actually made in 2021, so 5 years old already. I also found out that this unit was subject to a safety recall. Contacted PWT, their response was simply not our problem, contact the manufacturers directly. And that was that. Not happy. Definitely won’t be buying from them again. I should have read these reviews before purchasing from!

All of our products are supplied as new and sourced directly through authorised channels. The manufacturing date on a product does not affect its condition or its status as a new item, and many manufacturers produce items in batches which may remain in distribution for some time before being sold. Regarding the safety recall you mentioned, product recalls are issued and managed directly by the manufacturer. For safety and traceability reasons, manufacturers normally require customers to contact them directly so they can register the product and arrange any necessary inspection, repair, or replacement as part of the official recall process. We’re sorry that the packaging arrived damaged in transit. While couriers do their best to handle parcels carefully, occasionally boxes can be affected during delivery. We do appreciate your feedback and are sorry that on this occasion your experience did not meet expectations. Kind regards,

Unable to get hold of anyone in customer service. had to go to PayPal to get my refund but if customer service answered the phone i would have happily dealt with them to resolve to very poor choice in delivery company they use.
