The installation was booked and completed very well. I was not satisfied that Pod-Point only communicate by email, especially as I had to employ my own electrician to add a new 30amp breaker and cable before Pod-point could start. A 15 minute phone call between the three parties would have been a big improvement.

Apart from the long delay because of the first failed attempt to visit it was OK. The engineer was helpful, courteous, fast, cleaned up after himself and explained everything well. the initial ordering process dealing with the Govt. grant was cumbersome.

I found the Olev forms confusing. Once completed I got installation date and ETA promptly. On the day of installation I called within ETA to confirm engineer was still attending given situation with Covid and was told everything ok. After call I thought about the conversation I had and then realised I had just probably spoken with a robot which left me feeling annoyed. My ETA was 11-4 and when the engineer had not arrived I called again and waited my turn in the queue and the call dropped when it was answered. I called again and when it was ringing I kept getting put back in the queue. I did receive a text message from the engineer saying he was on his way and he arrived 90 mins outside of eta at 5.30. He estimated the installation to take approx 1 hour but it took almost 2 hrs 15 mins which was annoying as I was wanting to cook a special birthday meal for my grandson. The engineer was great and did a good job but overall my experience was not good from a customer service point of view.

I must start off by saying that once we got the actual installation, the guy who turned up was amazing, very friendly, wearing all protective gear, polite and was quick and clean. the reason for the 3 star rating is prior to installation. the process seems to insist that you pay in full up front before you even know if the install would work or how long any delays might be. They also seem fixated on applying for the grant before they move onto the actual survey process. i cannot understand why they would do this as surely the key thing is to get the kit installed asap. If there is a delay in reclaiming then that is my issue. The only reason I can think is that the company is using these upfront payments to fund their business and therefore have no incentive to get a move on.

Hi, The ordering and details given is really poor. It took 2 weeks to hear anything from paying my £550. Then I hear that they can't install it because I need ground work. I think that there should be examples given and at least do some kind of assessment before people pay the money. I had to wait for a slot from my groundworker, meaning podpoint had my money for about 4 months...

Some issues getting all of the paperwork in place. But the installation was fantastic, Matt was extremely professional, Covid safe and is a major asset to the business.

The planning was drawn out over a long time with the customer having to do most of the donkey work, photographing the existing sytems and plotting the path for the cabling.. as a non elictrian I found this his irksome and confusing and untimately required me to hire my own electrition to ensure that my electrical supply to my garage, where the charger was to be fitted was up to spec. All this was undoubtedly compounded by Covid restrictions, but I had thought a competent idividual could surely have sorted this out onsite instead of this prolonged online dialogue as preparation. Your office team were helpful and tried their best to sort out the bumps but I found the whole thing waring spread out over six months. However at the end of it our installation was completed quickly and efficiently and the system seems to be working well.

The arrangements at the beginning seemed tortuous but in the final analysis proved very efficient and installation surprisingly prompt.

It was very difficult to get Pod Point to contact us after we had paid for the installation. They seemed to need 10 working days between each stage of their process (and there were a few stages). They then said we needed our own electrician to fit the wire in our roof space (the obvious route) or we could lay the cable through several times. We opted to lay through several rooms, but when the engineer arrived he said he was only permitted to work in one room. Eventually my husband had to lay the cable in the roof space and the engineer just did the connection. We haven't had the bill yet to see how much this will cost us. I'm sure our home layout can't be so unusual, so I don't understand why it was so difficult. The engineer was nice.

Very difficult to get an appointment for the installation, but once I had the date all went smoothly and great installer, no mess and no damage.

I found the installer trying to minimise his extent of his job. Giving many reasons not to carry the job in his own way rather than my preference.

They seemed competent at installing the Solo Charger and showing how to use it. However, subsequent use of the charger results in very loud buzzing from the meter board equipment added. There was little information provided about how to use public charge points, which types of charge points were compatible with the my car/cable supplied, how to pay for charging etc. and the web-site did little to help. Since contacting Customer Support re these matters, I have received only an automatic acknowledgement of receipt of my query.

Extensive form-filling and photos needed for OLEV grant. Some going back and forth delayed installation. Going live was further delayed by a question regarding the earthing of our modern house. Earth had to be checked by UK Power Networks who said the earth was OK but recommended we contact our power supplier (OVO) to get bigger meter tails installed at a further cost to ourselves. A tedious and time-consuming process involving three companies and multiple site visits for what should have been a simple installation.

I received no response to my preliminary questions. Information on completing the documents led to some confusion and tedious resending of evidence of vehicle purchase. Scheduling the installation was straightforward. The work was carried out on time and to a good standard.

Inflexible on where they can place the box and unsightly wiring. Lacked a choice of suitable conduits or trunking so left with unsightly wires inside and outside.
