very complicated and frustrating with little customer focus to the process during the ordering/slot scheduling stages (particularly in agreeing an acceptable route for the cabling) but eventually, the actual installation was excellent. There needs to be access to better technical advice/discussion between Pod Point and the customer in advance - this would help the installation team greatly too.

After about 5 back and forth emails asking for photos, video, land registry plans, a very nice engineer came out to do survey himself and installation a week later. The email ping pong and delays drove us mad, but once a real person involved it all went smoothly. Just need the car now …..

The installer was obviously not happy to be with us. He was very vague about what had already been agreed with Podpoint and rather uncommunicative. He left my premesis having dropped many metal screws all over my garage floor with other installation debris which I had to clean up. He also left in a hurry having not ensured connections were established with my Wi-Fi. This then took me many attempts before I could successfully connect up. All in all I was not very impressed.

The original installation engineer after successfully 'physically' installing the charger on Monday, left the charger unusable and not communicating with the home WiFi. promising that they would trouble shoot the problem on Tuesday and return on Wednesday and finish/correct the problem. That was the last I heard from them. After contacting the office later a further appointment was made for another engineer to complete the commissioning. This he did and within 15 minutes (and correcting a shoddy original installation) had the system operable

The installation was excellent. The pre-work with virtual site reviews could be better . Too many emails back and forth.

Plus point: The engineer was really friendly, punctual and talked me through everything so I understood it Negative points: The communication was really slow, emails sent were not replied to and I had to chase four times over a six week period. I tried to ring several times but the holding time was up to an hour. I held on as long as I could but often did it during lunchtimes or the drive to and from work, all take 30 minutes and my call never got answered. The instructions are a little difficult if you are not technically minded. I found that part overwhelming as sometimes there were references to things I just didn't understand such as the fuse box wiring part. I did my best.

It started out alright filled the forms in online very helpful, and booked the installation date they turned up on time. I required the cable to come from the consumer unit to the Pod Point unit after some discussion with his boss, he put the cable in and fixed and wired the pod point. he was not aware of what comes as standard on your installation spec.He said That i need to up grade my RCD to a Type A. he said that i would have to get an electrician to do that he said he could possibly be back later in the week but to ring Pod Point they said that they would not fit a new RCD and i would have t do it at my cost.I am lost as it clearly states in your Spec ,1 That you would supply a Three way Consumer unit if requied. 2 Installation of circuit protection in keeping with BS7671 I rang Pod Point they said i would have to get the upgraded Type A RCD fitted, at my cost. After several phone calls ,over several days i requesting an engineer ring me back ,but to no avail i managed to get hold of the e mail of Stella Gough and sent her an e mail .I then got my Electrician to fit the New RCD. Then Stella Gough Booked the Fitter to come He brought a 40 MCB and some ducting to finish the job, I am at a loss how this Job went wrong when you had the photos of my conssumer unit.and it is only 3 years old. I await your reply. Norman Evans.

A bit of a journey! Could have been improved by a site visit at the outset and not relying on the (lay) customer to know all about MCB's, RCDA's 32amp fuses, 16mm earthing wires - which I do now! While the email communication worked reasonably well the two visits including installation were very much left as unconfirmed (in my mind). A tracking app would have been a great help in the process. Anyway pleased it is now installed.

The installation day itself went well, although this was due to the sheer amount of preparation and demands upfront. As the installation was being made from a consumer unit in a detached garage I decided to also future proof and update the circuit from the house. This when informed as an activity taking place ahead of the podpoint install led to a demand to also install a data cable at the same time (at a personal cost of £60), along with related conduit (£30) etc. This was not deemed necessary if the feed was not being updated. It seems only podpoint requires this cable. No explanation or offer to remediate the costs has been forthcoming. Otherwise... is a neat little box with some flashing lights, ready for the vehicle to be delivered.

Overall I’m happy, it just took an age to get sorted.

Second visit went ok but felt the cable at the fuse box could have been clipped to the wall rather than Lying loose also he could have cut out a notch so my fuse box cover could go back on the wall without a gap - the cable had been run for him at my expense before he came all he had to do was connect at each end.

There were quite a few problems during the initial stages and it took a very long time. I still am not sure whether I obtained the OZEV grant or not.

All was fine with installation, upon completion I was asked by the engineers if it would be ok for me to recycle a cardboard box, to which I agreed. When I came to recycle the box a few hours later I found there was a lot of non-recyclable items within including bits of masonry and drilling dust. Not impressed!

The ordering process was difficult. I uploaded images in the wrong format on my initial attempt no-one informed me of this until I chased up the application a couple of weeks later. Then the assistance was good. The Installer was informative and professional, he did a great job.

the booking arrangements for Podpoint installation was good. unfortunately, the installation wasn't so good. the electrician had incorrectly wired the podpoint so had difficulty with our home electrics. He said it was home instal issue. which was incorrect as it's a new build. He advised us that our main intake was faulty so we arranged for an electrician to check and then confirmed it was all fine. It wasn't the best experience of the day but the Podpoint is working well.

Initial paperwork was smooth. Took weeks to process. Cancelled installation twice on the last minute when I had been waiting for them. But eventually when the installer arrived it was done in few hours. Working well thereafter.

The installation was carried out efficiently, however, I was only receiving approx 9-10 mph on the charger - I telephoned your offices where I was advised that the engineer had not changed some settings when he installed the charger - this was rectified remotely when I telephoned your support line but I feel that this is not something which should have been required - I would have expected that it was something the engineer should have known and done as a matter of course

Poor app features. No confirmation received after booking slot confirmed. Installation was very good experience.

After completing all the paperwork, it took a while and some chasing by myself to get a date in the diary for installation. I was then given an initial appointment for installation, and subsequently received a call around 2 weeks earlier that they could come and install that week. Having agreed to this, someone arrived at the earlier date but looking at what would be required, decided that more time would be required and the installation could not be done on that day. This meant that our original installation date was not cancelled and the earlier date did not work out. I was surprised to hear, this now meant that it was my responsibility again to get in touch with Podpoint to organise a new installation, rather than that this would be dealt with immediately and internally again following feedback from the installer. It took a few more email correpondence and chasing by myself before we were able to get a new date in the diary. I received another call asking for an earlier installation but refused to go for this as I did not want the same issues to happen again. Once the installer arrived on the 2nd scheduled date, installation was quick and efficient.
