The pre-install survey was a little painful - but I guess ensured that the charger was fitting first time when PP eventually came out. Appointment was cancelled once on me, and the fitter failed to properly clamp the charger on first attempt reducing my max charge to 3.6.kwh (however they did fix quickly on the same day). On the positive it's a great piece of kit which was fitted well and the app is great so no complaints there - just took 2 1/2 months from first contact to fitting which is way too long - I formed the opinion that car manufacturer fits were being prioritised

Not much interaction between the final booking and the fitter turning up! I had 1 missed call the morning due to be fitted. I called straight back and went to answer machine. Eventually answered and had moved on to the next job. I called the service desk and got told someone would be in touch after they found out what happens. This didn’t happen!! One holiday from work wasted. Eventually got it rescheduled and everything went well second time round.

It was a little bit challenging negotiating Pod Points process for ordering and arranging the installation. Not the most user friendly experience. I managed to avoid the expensive site inspection visit but would recommend it to avoid some of the confusion I went through. Fortunately, they were saved by the great contractor that actually did the installation for them.

Good communication when installing the Pod Point but was let down by the rather abrupt and in my opinion rather rude installer. He was good at his job and neat and tidy with his work but when asked questions was very abrupt and didn't really explain everything fully to us just said it's all in the leaflet provided. He was very condescending which I was rather surprised at as this was exciting for me for as this is my first electric car and I think installers should be made aware of this and the fact that there maybe more questions from customers.

The online tools and processes were overall good. Although too hands-off and perhaps needs more human contact/interaction as it is quite complicated, needs specific information. The engineer that fitted the podpoint left a complete mess...and all the rubbish/packaging/spare wires (and a razor blade) behind.

Applying for the Pod Point and filling in additional complicated questionnaires, which baffled and surprised even professional people, was sheer torture. Lost my files, hopeless admin, PodPoint Installation behaved like Prima Donnas. I ordered the Pod Point on 15 December 2021 , it was finally installed 10 March 2022. Customer support was good. The installation engineer ( who I understand does not work for Pod Point) was excellent. He took great care to install the cable in a way to make it visibly least intrusive. M

The process was very professional but would have been nice if someone could have come to my house to advise me but they didn’t

In view of the cost of installation it is disappointing that the customer has to carry out the pre installation survey. We had numerous emails with Pod Point and we had to have a lot of extra electrical work done to comply with Pod Point requirements. When the fitter arrived he had been given the wrong instructions. He had it down as 7kw charger and we had been told we could not have that as we only have 4mm cable from the house to the garage. He had to telephone PodPoint to check so it was still not straightforward.

The installation went very smoothly and a very neat job was the result despite it pouring with rain that day. However filling in the form to order it was a total nightmare. No attempt was made to explain the size of the photos necessary was severely limited and it wasn't clearly stated that you needed to access the website in order to know where to load the photos. This took an inordinate time to accomplish and should have been done in my opinion by one of your employees. All the necessary measurements to be made were outdoors so should have proved no obstacle regarding Covid.

The install was proficient and carried out professionally, although it was done on the second visit as the first installer had not been correctly informed of the job requirements by Pod Point.

I am concerned that the Electrical Certificate is signed by Stuart Palethorpe who I hope is not the same individual as: namehttps://www.gov.uk/government/news/nottingham-electrician-banned-for-5-years POD-POINT were expensive when offering groundworks Booking a slot was very quick once I had done the groundwork myself. Install had 2 men who overlapped eachother between jobs. Car doesn't arrive until September so won't be able to use the unit until then.

Good comms, but too complicated - you make the assumption that customers know more than they do and there were many occasions when I was asked to coordinate between PP and power suppliers, which got very stressful and confusing as I did not understand the acronyms involved. I truly believe that like me, a lot of customers will be put off by the whole process.

Complicated and drawn out ordering process. It would have been good to talk to a human being as opposed to trying to do this online. If I had known how difficult it was I would have used someone else. Excellent installation on the day.

Overall happy with the installation and final product. The site survey (done remotely) with photos and exchange of emails needs improvement. My contact at pod-point was unable to answer questions I asked about their recommended approach. Eventually gave up and opted to pay an extra charge for a garage splitter even though they were unable to explain why I needed it. Not only that, my electrician could not understand the course of action Pod-point recommended.

The installer Kevin was brilliant but all the to-ing & fro-ing with Podpoint with emails & photos of the site for installation was exhausting & involved an electricisn visit at our own expense who did a 5min job which could have been done by the installer. I would recommend you ask your own electrician to contact customers as an admin person is acting as a go-between without actually being familiar with the work or installation terminology. Also, the emails & photos we sent at admin's request were not all passed on to the installer! Cinfusion & stress all round.

Podpoint were fairly straightforward to communicate with and a great use of email technologies and phone technologies meant that end speaking to them they knew who I was etc.

The limit in the upload prevented me from being able to provide all the information which was required. The information I supplied was not passed onto the installer in a format he could read so we had to explain the job to him on arrival. The installer did not tidy up after himself nor neatly install the cable and used solid wall plugs in the plasterboard which pulled out. I had to spend 1.5 hours after he had gone tidying up and installing the correct plugs. The Pod is not installed in the middle of the wall, it is offset to one side. The installer did not consider the position of the entry point into the back of the pod before drilling the hole.

The pod point is OK but certainly lacks some important features. The main one being that it doesn't lock the cable into the socket. With the current huge rise in cable thefts, this is a major omission. The booking process was pretty poor, with no communication and not even a confirmation email to confirm that my installation slot had been booked. I had to phone up to check that it was actually booked after I confirmed my provisional slot but heard nothing.
