Good overall. Installation planning was quick and flexible. Problem reported with unit within a few hour of installation was confirmed but not passed through for onsite / remote fix and required follow up. Problem fixed 3 days later after several emails / calls.

The hardest part for me was the uploading of all the photo's that were required for the pre installation survey. I found out that the file size of the photo's mattered and this stopped the email getting through. Not knowing this took the initial part of the survey a month, as nobody at your end said we have not recieved the requested photo's or documents yet. From this point the installation date was a further 2 months away. Its was this is the date we are too busy to get it done earlier. The installation team arrived on time and asked where the charger was to be fitted, and agreed with me the best position for it. They cleaned up the mess they had created during insallation, checked it out as best they could (no car yet) and left. My car was still 2 weeks away from being delivered. 4 days before my car was delivered, the charging unit started to flash red which means there is a fault. This fault took a further 2 weeks to fix which is unexceptable for a charger that had not been used at all. Not a good start to my EV life. You need to get faults sorted much quicker than 2 weeks.

The booking process was long-winded and drawn out. It took over 2 months to get the charge point fitted - EnA/L A/L A/L A/L A/Lgineers kept cancelling. Eventually, I managed to get the charge point installed by a lovely engineer who arrived at the time he was due and installed the Pod Point within 90 minutes.

There were multiple layers of bureaucracy, including several forms at different stages, a need to take photos, further forms and need to talk to electricity board, which could easily be simplified and all explained at the start. I’m not sure if this is all down to pod point, but someone definitely needs to consider the timeline from a consumer point of view and make it less bureaucratic. When we finally got through all the stages, the booking team were helpful and the installation itself, nearly two weeks ago, seemed to go fine - the installer was really helpful. The charger itself looks great and was very well explained. Unfortunately the pod point didn’t work (we made the mistake of not actually plugging in a car until it returned the next day - although it was not actually suggested that we needed to). We have been emailing and calling to try and get this resolved without success. Hopefully when it works it will be worth it!

The instal from the engineer on the day was excellent (Dean was his name). The ordering process and the pre survey was very poor, personally feel it should be carried out by a visit to the premises and not me sending in pictures.

Prakash was excellent, very friendly and courteous. Unfortunately the pre install review doesn’t work. The remote team had me call out an electrician to make changes but then when Prakash came he said more changes were needed (even though this could have been determined from the photos as it was to do with the amount of space available in the meter box). I also found the contact team very slow to respond, typically 3-5 days per response, so an exchange of a couple of emails can last nearly a month.

Very very poor after sales service after being installed i found the charging cable will not reach my drive after numerous phone calls you have not replied with a solution to my problem regards John

Pre information included jargon that only someone with electrical knowledge would understand. Was frustrating process on this basis.

Easy process once I got my referral from my lease company, without this it was very difficult to get an installation any time soon. The process was quite easy. On the day of installation I requested an afternoon slot due to work, I thought the installer would call me before they were on their way. Nope, they just turned up. Which annoyed me - no communication with the customer at all.

Excellent installation, but cumbersome process during ordering. Very delayed booking date and nearly impossible to speak to anyone about it.

Contact with podpoint pre-purchase was difficult as I more often than not could only get responses by email after a day or so, not by telephone.

Overall happy with service. It took a while to sort out a date for the instal and your rules about not working at height are very restrictive/silly.

I felt that to have to communicate by email was terrible. The whole process would have been made 10 times easier if someone had just come out to look at the meter and what needed to be done to fit it. We even waited weeks before received confirmation that we could proceed as we're told Northern Power needed to check something but nobody ever came back to us, we had to chase to confirm all while you were sat on our money. The engineer who came to do the job I have no issues at all with.

Excellent installation, but so difficult to complete correctly the application. Things that were inadvertently missing were not explained: merely advised “incomplete”.
