Because of the government Grant I contacted Pod point and other providers no one contacted me until after the grant so didn’t know what was going on. Pod point was the first to contact me so you got the job. You was very helpful after that. Even if I was too late for the government grant at lease contact me and tell me what is going on. But I must state you were not the only company you all ignored me until after the grant finish.

-Delayed install due to supposedly being busy in March 22. -No contact from Pod Point I got in touch after approx. 5 weeks waiting at which point I was offered a next day install, surely Pod Point should have been proactive? After all a full payment had been made on order. -Overall install seems neat. -Installer wasn’t too interested in customer interaction or answering questions. Also wasn’t aware of potential issues with WPA3 WiFi equipment and possible set-up issue. I managed to modify WiFi setup to connect Pod Point before installer rebooted. -Installer didn’t clean up after his work.

The process wasn’t great. Lots of information to take on board. We’ were asked to check and complete specific electrical works prior to the installation - could of been very costly, not to mentioned delayed when you consider that most electricians are busy for months on end. Getting in contact with PP is difficult, nobody wants to talk. The communication is via email so it wasn’t easy to discuss specific options/challenges. EDF did the installation and that was great. Informative, straight forward and quick.

Initially it was a bit frustrating not being able to communicate with Pod Point other than via the online system. The installation was fine apart from the damage done to the exterior wall. This wasn’t pointed out until I pointed it out. I had intended to give the installer a tip but changed my mind when I saw the damage that (I suspected) he wasn’t intending to mention.

We waited for over six weeks to even get an installation slot. In the end, I had to call PodPoint to demand an installation date. The actual installation was excellent and installed our Pod point quickly and efficiently. I only wish we took his advice on where to install it as we're now looking to get it moved.

The pod point was offered free with our recent purchase of a Jaguar I-Pace. We were told it would be installed within a 2-3 week period. We received many emails asking about the installation site which we did via photos to the best of our ability. We received further emails asking for more clarity! We then received a further email asking for us to forward an ordnance site plan! The installation was finally carried out 7 weeks after our purchased. The installer then told us that our siting preference could not be achieved due to several electrical regulation constraints, adding that he visited many properties with similar problems and a detailed survey should be carried out by a professional who could clarify these issues on a single visit? I agree, to put the onus on a homeowner who rarely knows electrical issues is poor, unfair & a waste of everybodies time. The 7 weeks could easily be reduced to our original promised time frame. Please resolve this for future home installations. Had I been paying I would have cancelled a chosen another supplier. The installer by the way installed our unit within his 3 hour time scale.

A Good service overall, however, found it strange that I had to remove my floorboards myself prior to the installation. The engineer was good and was also surprised that I had done this and had to replace myself also

Prior to and installation was very good, arrived when arranged and no mess or fuss. Problem with the house earth meant the job could not be finished on the day. Sorting out the earth problem became quite an issue and you never explained to me as your customer how I was meant to solve the issue. The terms used were not anything i understood and thought the whole issue became stressful. Eventually Western power sorted my earth and final installation was completed.

Considering this was required for an EV which was delivered to me in November 2021 it’s taken until April 2022 before Chargers has been installed. Had tried upmost to make installation and scheduling as simple as possible for Podpoint to the extent they may well have just delivered the charger and install ourselves. Thankfully no more expensive public charging now.

The process leading up to the installation was seriously frustrating with multiple requests for the same information and photos, plus multiple emails saying the same thing. BUT, the actual installation was great, hassle-free and the guy who carried out was very polite, worked quick and was a pleasure to have here.

There was an issue initially whether wifi was necessary. It was resolved but caused a delay to installation

Overall, it was not a pleasant experience: communication with the installation team was difficult. The electric cable that was sent out was apparently the wrong type; the engineer didn’t know how to install it, and wanted to charge us extra labour for 5 hrs! Took a long time to re-arrange another visit to complete the installation. Eventually work was completed by another engineer, a sensible one, but almost 3 months after the initial order! Had to get the car charged elsewhere all those months!

No explanation of how to set up with my WiFi, which is not connecting, I understood they were supposed to go through it with me

Installation excellent. Friendly, helpful and experienced. Took time with me and understood what we wanted and hand over complete. The booking experience - a total nightmare. Many emails to confirm a date, then two 'no shows' without letting me know due to Pod Pony not informing me of issues. Eventually got a new date after 1.5 hours on the phone talking to 'walls'. Pod Point useless. Technician excellent.
