The fitter told me I would need a new lead I went to the car agent and was told the lead supplied with the car was universal and would fit any charger. I returned home and tested it and it did work, a wasted journey of 38 miles and 1 hour of time. Is there a quicker way of charging as it takes over 4 hours to fully charge?

Overall the brand is strong and installation on the day was excellent. But severe lack of communication between time I made purchase and install date. More proactive management and communication of my order bearing in mind any delays - the “unknown” of installation date due to govt grants ending was not ideal. However overall good product and install just a Bermuda Triangle in between that could have been calmed by proactive contact.

The pod point charger is now up and running which is great. The unit is stylish & discrete and we’re happy with how it’s operating. There are a couple of things we are not happy with: - I would have preferred some indication of lead times for installation during the booking process - I was not happy with the installer, Tony, on the day. He initially stated that he would have to finish the installation another day due to head office issues (thankfully this didn’t need to happen), then he destroyed one of our plants (which was not agreed as one to be removed during the planning process) without checking with me first, then he later caused damage to one of our kick boards by accidentally stepping on it and breaking one of the clips. In both instances he was totally unapologetic. He did the whole thing in a rush as he had a personal appointment to go to, so his guidance on how to use the device was provided very quickly. I did not enjoy the install experience at all.

Good product and installation carried out by a local contractor to a good standard. After ordering online, paying in full and completing a survey, there was no communication at all for several weeks and I eventually resigned myself to chasing up my install until it was finally booked. In hindsight, I’d go direct to a local contractor for install.

Although I was given a time slot of 11-16.00, I did not receive a call on the day with any eta. The installing engineer was very cooperative and clean and tidy in his work. The only thing I found was that when I scheduled my first charge the unit only delivered a low rate of charge. After a call to Pod Point, this was diagnosed as a wrong setting during the installation and has now been rectified. It's a good job that I didn't have to travel today as I wouldn't have had a full charge. Looking at reviews on the internet, this is a common issue and Pod Point should take this up with their installers/subcontractors.

Disappointing ordering process - no real explanation of timescales and had to chase numerous times to find out when they would likely be installing. An order tracking system to confirm where each stage is and an estimated delivery time would have been good. The installer did a great job, explained everything, and was considerate, polite and friendly. Charger installed in the exact location and all cables and supplementary components fitted neatly and safely.

Pre installation process very poor, no returned calls for 48 hours, forms difficulty, had to keep resending photos. I felt like I did all of the prep work. Joel who installed was FANTASTIC- polite and super efficient.

The installation was excellent however the process before installation was slow and painful. Could have been improved by a short video call.

I had to do a lot of the prep work for the installation makes their job a lot easier and mine a lot more complex with photos finding the right equipment they wanted to know about. Before covid they would never have expected that from a customer

The installation was ok in the end but a couple of things I would like to raise please and also would like someone to contact me in relation to my second point. Firstly there was some debate around whether my water was bonded and initially the guy said he couldn’t do it. I kept asking questions and finally he went into the street and found my water meter which had plastic so no bonding needed. The rest of installation went fine and happy with the guys customer service and placement of wires and pod. HOWEVER and this is why I would like contact please he has fixed the wire into the garage but used ridiculously long screws (in my opinion) for relatively small cables and clips. These screws have gone through a brick wall plasterboard and wallpaper and come through into my dining room! 6 holes in total with damage that will need repairing. Look forward to hearing from you to see how we proceed

After my ordering and makiing my full payment, I did not hear anything for a few weeks. I rang and was told they were really busy and I should hear something soon. Another few weeks later and I rang again. I was then given an installation date of 2 weeks. The fitter was polite. Did a good neat and tidy job. I keep getting a red light and the charging stops. It resets to green if I unplug it. I will see how it goes on. My overall impression of Podpoint are that they need to keep in touch with their customers.

There seems to be a disconnect between the ordering and planning, and the actual installation. I had to take many photos and in detail submit my request for the work to be done in advance and in place of a survey. The engineer, on arrival, did something completely different as without an alternative. It looks fine and as long as it works, then all I’d question is why did I spend so much time submitting and agreeing my requirement to have them ignored? I suggest the site should be surveyed by a knowledgeable technician.

It was efficient, on time and the result looks good. Unfortunately, an outdoor spotlight fitting was broken during the installation.

The installation has been completed acceptably, but the appointment email gave a morning slot and the contractor was scheduled for the afternoon. I had to chase by phone to confirm he was still coming - and received no prior call from him ... he just turned up onto my drive and sat there having his lunch until I approached him. A full demonstration was not possible as the car is not due for delivery for months.

The installer was great and no issues there. The problems I had were with a lack of communication after I ordered. I didn’t hear anything back for 2 weeks, then the install date just arrived at fairly short notice. A simple customer follow up after I paid online would have really helped.

Website was good, installation was very good and quick, the pre-install document wasn't great and doesn't allow enough memory storage to upload the required photos. The worst part was the communication on lead times for installation and the phoneline always busy for extended periods of time.

My first initial contact with POD Point was in September 2021 and it has taken eight months to finally have the POD Point fitted.
