Could do better. First installation date was cancelled. Pod Point did not contact the power network supplier to upgrade the Henley block fuse prior to the installation. I had to do that and did it only because I had been advised by my regular electrician to do so. SEPN upgraded from 60amps to 80amps as an interim measure and have since replaced the old Henley block with one rated at 100amps. SEPN advised I could have the EV charger uprated to 11kw or 22kw on an off-peak tariff. I asked Pod Point by email on the 10th June if this could be done. So far (17th June), no response.

Easy purchase and booking process. Shame the installer left a hole in my electricity meter box where he screwed a screw through to make a handle so he could open and close the door a millisecond quicker than using the correct tools.

Excellent pre-installation site visit and actual installation by Trevor. Process of getting there ws very disappointing. Nice people but disorganised and very difficult to get hold of. Poor comms.

4 stars for excellent installation service but 2 stars for the app as it needs to improvement in particular with auto-scheduling.

The start of the process was terrible, I have never been so angry with an organisation. As a non-qualified person I had to tell Pod Point how to get a cable from the fuse box to the preferred location outside and then take lots of photographs only to be told Pod Point can't install cables in lofts, only up to 3m of ducting along the hall, and I needed to engage an electrician. All this after taking my money! Once we had got past being stuck between a rock and a hard place the cables were sent out promptly, they quickly responded to questions from the electrician, quickly scheduled the installation engineer after my electrician had installed the cables in the loft and Trevor the installation engineer did an excellent job.

Only just acceptable. They really need to thoroughly overhaul the web site. There a 70 plus’s trying to buy electric cars. The numbers will only increase and this site is so unfriendly and difficult to use. Needs a massive rethink

Filling out forms and chasing up certificates was laborious. It could be made easier.

The process of installing the Pod Point home charger was time consuming and a lot of questions were asked that I needed an electricians help to answer. After this the actual process of installation was seamless except for an issue with the serial number being incorrect on the installers paperwork. Since then I have had a couple of issues with the charger itself and contacted Pod Point to talk me though the issue, the first time I got through pretty quickly and received an email to say that the network support team would get in touch, I am still waiting to hear from them and despite trying to make contact via phone (long wait and told constantly that my call was important! I finally gave up and emailed customer service however I am yet to hear back. Very disappointing customer service.

Having to send photos from my iphone to my work email and then onto you was very time consuming and I really struggled with the wires picture.

Installation was done quite well with two issues. First the technician did not come with a long enough cable so he then had to go buy the biggest junction box I have ever seen. Second, the cable had to come by the vertical gas pipe. The technician decided to put the cable over the pipe instead of behind it where I believe it could have been placed. He explained that he wasn’t allowed to drill near a gas pipe which is understandable but in my view there was easily enough enough of a gap to fit the cable.

Installation was fine but after 17 days I still do not have an EIC which I need to claim my EST grant. Have asked 5 times but still no certificate.

The process to getting the install was tedious because there didn’t seem to be any communication between you, as myself and my electrician had to go through the same Q and A every phone call to whoever picked up. However the installation went smoothly as the electrician was excellent

The electrician who turned up hadn't been given the information I filled in regarding the location of my electricity supply and the fact it wasn't attached to an outside wall. He wasn't sure how to proceed but once I gave him an idea and a saw tool he fitted the wall box very well so he did everything expected and was good to deal with but seem to be limited by the company in what he could do. Also I have not had the certificate to say it was installed properly or a receipt and no longer getting my emails replied to. So admin side is very poor. If you do not get the information to me on time and my lose my Scottish grant so will expect Pod Point to cover that cost.

The installation was very professionally completed by the installer. It is in the correct place and it is very neat. However I have not been able to connect to my WiFi. The installer was unsuccessful and despite calls to advise of this issue since the day of installation it is unresolved to date. I was advised that it was now with maintenance and I can expect a call but nothing to date! The job is not completed hence the mediocre score. I will see if the reviews are actually read if I receive a call as a result.

The podpoint installation by UPN on behalf of podpoint was disappointing. Firstly I am a qualified experienced electrician and during the installation I noticed that the installer was making a mistake and taking his supply from the live side of the isolation switch which I pointed out to him. He then had to remake his installation and as I had a meeting to go to I was not there to see him complete the installation. When I returned later in the day I was faced with a “rats nest” of 25mm cables, if I had been there I would have not accepted it. As it was I tidied it up as best I could with tie wraps.

Initially the appointment was made the week after my car was arriving, which I wasn't pleased with but there was a cancellation and it was done a week before the car arrived. I wasn't told that it could be anyone coming to fit it from an electrical company - I was expecting it to be Pod Point themselves. The fitter was OK but because he didn't want to be given a job after my fitting took much more time than he needed (he stated this to me). I was working from home and this wasn't appreciated! Also by the time he finished and was going to demonstrate how to use it there was a thunder and lightening storm with heavy rain - again I was totally unimpressed with having to be outside in that weather. At the end of it my app wouldn't work and the installer told me that it will probably be OK just give it a few hours. It wasn't OK the next day so I wasted a lot of my time making calls to POD Point and leaving messages but no-one came back to me and after several attempts and a few days had passed I managed to speak to someone and the app seems to be working.

Too many ridiculous restrictions to how the cable can be installed even if the cable was installed by a fully qualified electrician to 18th edition regs. On the day the engineer was ok.

The main issue was the surveys being done by the customer instead of a site visit by a someone from Pod Point. Whilst I provided the options on how the solution could be installed, ultimately it ended with a wasted visit and more groundworks as the engineer could not run the electrical cable without damaging the walls since all the trunking is not buried in the walls. This meant an additional visit and groundworks resulting in a much higher cost. It would have been better to have sent an engineer rather than expect customers to understand how the installation could be achieved. I appreciate that due to Covid that site visits were not possible but it perhaps should have been a video call so that context would have been understood better.

Engineer turned up on time and introduced himself Engineer explained where he was going to site the meter and run the cables and positioned the Pod Point On drilling into the wall he hit a main wire!!!.....how can someone who is drilling close by the major electric meter not check first for wires within the walls???? He has to chase out a square section to check for damage and refill the hole - it could have been a lot worse had he damaged the wiring further I have had to cover the cost of buying new paint to paint over the section - see photo i would suggest that he runs a meter to test for hidden wires before drilling next time.
