Podpoint were quick to take my money but were slow on completing documentation and keeping me informed of the process. I had to chase to move the application process into the next phase. For example-a week post all documentation submitted I had to chase to get them to move it to the installation phase. However on chasing they managed to find me an installation slot very quickly.

Mixed experience using podpoint. Ordering was relatively straightforward, however there were many issues with regards to filling in the OLEZ annex I form which took some 7 weeks to resolve between pod point and the lease company. However once this was resolved a date was arranged promptly and the engineer who installed the unit was excellent and the installation is spot on. Very happy with the end result.

Long wait to be installed, despite being a mobility vehicle. Had to keep driving the vehicle across town to charge

Overall happy. Website was easy to use and installer was very friendly and quick. The charge point itself is good and fairly priced. Had an issue with the lady from the scheduling team as we came to a disagreement about a flower/rock bed along the route of the cable run. I assured her it wouldn’t be an issue as you can literally walk through it but she was adamant it would need to be cut back and cleared. This disagreement delayed the install and the replies were very slow. Can’t get hold of anyone by phone either. As I expected when the installer actually came the flower bed was no issue whatsoever.

Initially quite overwhelming with the number of emails and forms to fill in. Was a little disappointed that there was no compromise in how the cabling was to be installed and as a result had to have this part of the work undertaken by myself. POD supplied the materials however they were too short and I ended up having to purchase new out of my own pocket. The electrician who attended to complete the install was really good. he was polite and engaging. he explained everything I asked and his work was of a high standard. he set up my POD Point and I have had no issues with it. he even called after to check I had managed to get the App working.

We got there in the end. Turned out we needed a whole lot of new electrical work first as the installation requirements are very specific and this was rather glossed over at point of sale. Doing a photo survey only as well didn’t help. Having got the required electrical installation in place; the experience on the day was pretty good and the tethered point works well. Did take a few days to get the account right though as the wrong device number was initially listed but that too was sorted in the end.

Engineer was brilliant and really knowledgeable. Unfortunately had two bookings cancelled before finally managing to get it arranged.

A bit of a mixed bag but happy in the end. The initial ordering was easy. As it was a company car there was a delay on submitting one of the forms from my company, I had to chase Pod Point to check it was received, to be told there was an error and needed amending. I then had to chase up again 1 week later to get a installation date. The people I spoke with were very helpful though. Installation itself took less than 2 hours and Michael the installer did a very tidy job with the Pod Point and the electrical work. There was one aspect of the install I wasn’t 100% happy with and only noticed after he had left. To be fair though I contacted Pod Point and again they were helpful and Michael came back out and sorted it without any complaints. The charger works well and the scheduling in the app is good, as is the monthly report of electricity usage for my mileage expenses. In the end I’m happy now everything is completed.

Now having to organise additional works to the property, which has to happen after my car is delivered.... 25mm metre tails are needed to my electrics and Amp upgrade from 60A to 100A - this should of all been picked up in the survey process to ensure I can use the pod point soon as vehicle arrives.

Initially contact was swift after we were referred by our Vauxhall Dealership, but then there was a massive delay when PP decided that our electrics needed upgrading (at considerable expense to ourselves!). This meant that our installation was done a month after we first applied and we also had delays as PP said that they do not have many installers in our area (we are 5 miles from Nottingham, so not exactly the Outer Hebrides!). However, when the installer finally arrived, the job was done well and took about 2 hours.

Installation in a sandstone house in conservation area - long length of cable visible and large hole where cable exits. Further hole where wall plug didn't fix and wall plugs in situ already coming away.

Was prompt and efficient. My only concern is that neither gentleman wore masks and my husband did not feel confident to ask them.

Basic and does the job The installation guy was rushed ...he must be fitting 100s everyday but it was my 1st. The place was left unclean as the dust from drilling was left behind. But what matters the charger works fine. Pod point can do a better design job and have a retractable cord system instead of rolling the cord over a disc

The install was very quick and clean, and I'm impressed with this, The initial element of the process to fill in the required forms, obtain the quote and ensure all the documentation was in order was very long, drawn out and could be far slicker

No problem with booking or product itself, intallation was shoddy though. Installer installed supply cable so it was snagged by the garage door pivot, despite being told clearance was very tight.

The charger is well fitted and is work reliably and well, although it does not work with the "smart charging" functionality on my Smart EQ ForTwo (I suspect it is the car rather than the charger). My issue has been with the installation process. On the first attempt, the engineer said he could not complete the install even though I sent the photos and double-checked the route with the person booking the install. The engineer said the cable will need to be routed under my drive so I had to arrange some groundworks. I asked them for a quote, accepted it, not knowing what would be involved, paid and booked the groundworks and installation on the same day. I worked on the basis that if there were any issues with the installation caused by the groundworks, it was all their responsibility to sort it out. The groundworks engineer worked for less than an hour and the installation engineer took a couple of hours. Both did a decent job. The problem was that they had charged me more than 5 times what it should have cost for the amount of work the groundworks engineer did. I eventually got a partial refund after some negotiation and a lot of chasing, but I ended up paying over 3 times what it should have cost. In summary, the charger seems fine so far, but beware of the installation process, especially if you ask them to do the groundworks for you. Ask lots of questions and don't assume that they will not overcharge you.
