In general my experience was ok However, my frustration has been the length of time from payment to install i.e September to January. I thought the initial application was cumbersome and unclear in places. What complicated matters was the added application for the EST grant in Scotland. My experience with them has been nothing short of infuriating.

In short happy with the service and the look of the pod point and would recommend it. Processing leading up to it was good and installer was excellent. My car arrives in 2 weeks so have not tried it yet But they lose 2 stars as I paid for a 22w and when the installer came he said sorry your house cant take a 22w and he installed a 7w. I had sent photos of my property & electrics before the installation so they should of known and made me aware before going ahead. It took another 2 weeks and 2 reminders to hear of them in respect to the refund

It was a difficult booking process; it appears days before our booking, the contractors were terminated with Pod Point. After several calls to your call centre, always with over 45 minute wait on hold, and getting passed around, we eventually secured a new booking, 1 month after the first appointment and having already paid monies over. Didn't feel like priority to be honest ahead of new customers. However, the engineer arrived and did an excellent job. Could not fault him, a great reflection on your company which is what we had heard from friends who had recommended you.

The process started off well with completing all the paperwork. There were issues with the installation date on 3 occasions before the work was carried out on the fourth attempt. On the first date no-one turned up and I had to phone to find out the problem. The second attempt was postponed due to installer sickness which is unavoidable. The third attempt again no-one turned up and again I had to phone to find out that installer was stuck in traffic. I know these things happen but the annoying thing was that I had to phone the company to find out what was going on. So either there is a lack of communication between installer and company or a lack of procedure in communicating with the customer. Final installation was carried out to my satisfaction.

I found the whole experience relied too much on online form filling, and knowledge of IT processes. This may be a generational issue as I am retired. However a lot of ev business comes from the people of my age who can now afford the large cost and outlay of an EV. The installation survey should be carried out by the installation company before any work is carried out. Most people do not have sufficient knowledge to do this Stop using COVID as an excuse to save money. It’s wearing very thin with most of us.

Very complicated , I’m not computer savvy , and found the on line application very confusing, long winded and over complicated , but the actual installation was no problem and very quick

The initial form filling and pre installation process is a pain .photos have be taken of fuse boxes , electrical supply point , eath to the house and various other photos for the installation location i had to do this on behalf of my father. Paid the fee Filled everything in took all the pictures needed, uploaded the information and waited and waited ,no response for the pre installation team for weeks, when I called to ask for an update there was a problem with the application, however they never reached out to me to inform us of the error. Very disappointing indeed .I had to redo the whole installation process and photos again . Once that was done they did process the order quickly and even installed the charger earlier than booked. The engineer who did the installation was excellent, there was no mess at all. Its a shame the team behind the desks weren't as good as the engineers in the field .

The waiting time between applying and paying can't be helped due to demand and Covid possibly affecting the numbers of workers available. However to have an appointment made six weeks ahead and on the day no contact whatsoever and no engineer appear is disrespectful and not acceptable. The engineer lied about the reason too - stating there was heavy rain when it was dry all day and that no one was in - I had patiently waited in all day. Eventually, a new appointment was rescheduled two weeks later, then cancelled at short notice and only kept after I complained. Therefore without my intervention, my wait would have been even longer. The engineer who did eventually come did a perfectly acceptable job, however.

Took a very long time to get the installation. The first installer, Energise, were not up to the job, went away and told me to get somebody else. The installer who finally did thd job, Quick Charge, was excellent. However, I had to pay somebody else for running the cable.

Apart from the length of time it took to install from when I paid the fee(nearly two months) I understand we are still in difficult pandemic times, my biggest gripe has been how stiff and therefore difficult it has been to release the charging port from its housing. It has progressively got worse since installation. I am not a weak man but it takes my full strength to release it from its housing. Not sure if its negatively impacted by adverse weather, but could really do with advice on how to manage this issue.

Getting all the paperwork to pod point was very difficult and disjointed for anyone with poor computer skills. On several occasions, I found that my email was not being read. If the details I had sent were incorrect then I just got an email back asking the same question again. Anyway, we seem to have got to the end of the paperwork eventually.

Whilst entirely satisfied with the slot scheduling process and installation, I was disappointed to discover that the £350 government grant, which I had expected to be returned to me, had been taken off the initial price in advance. I find the phrase 'we will claim the £350 from the government on your behalf' somewhat misleading. It would have been better if you had made it clearer that the £350 would be going to Podpoint and not to me. Also I was unclear if we needed to order an extension lead. The engineer who came to fit the Podpoint seemed surprised that we had one. It cost me some £170 and I remain unsure as to what purpose.

Found taking pics a bit of a problem not always sure what was required but got there in the end. The actual fitting of the Pod was very well done, very efficient having been able to use it yet as car delivery is now delayed until May. Could maybe do with a bit more explanation about how to use the App.

The charger is excellent. The car arrived before the charger due to delay in getting installed. Easy enough to photo / pre install check the home board and get the right breakers fitted. Only real concern was the installer did leave the walls a mess, didn't use trunking as expected and it looks a bit unsightly with the cables - but it's a great unit. The holes in the walls could have been filled/tidied up a bit :(

Order process and installation was good. The installation engineer was very good but no lock was fitted on the day. I was informed that this would be completed at a later date. I am still waiting for someone to contact me.
