There were initial lengthy delays caused mainly by Power Grid and Podpoint themselves appeared to be struggling to cope with demand. The installation on the day was carried out by a very pleasant and helpful technician.

Weeks of picture sending back and forth of emails. Then another batch of email to confirm my booking which i did over and over. They eventually installed the pod point. Which was not installed correctly and then a week later had to be rewired again because the first install was wired wrong. The people that come out were very polite and friendly. Overall not a great experience .

You should have sent a surveyor to look at the job . The only visit was the eletrician he was very good and tidy.l would recommend him

I know they’ve been busy but after I completed my pre-installation form I was asked for lots more information, more photos, a sketch diagram and a short video. I really don’t know why they didn’t send someone round to do a pre-installation survey - something that I now understand is usual practice. When I received an installation date it came with a further request. This time I was asked to contact a local electrician to get some work done on my consumer unit. Without this work the installation could not take place. The part required was one not normally stocked in the electrical wholesalers and had to be ordered. Thanks to a very helpful and understanding electrician the work was done the day before installation. When the installer came he said that I needn’t have had that work done as he always carries the required part in his van! Thankfully the charger works.

The e-mail preparation prior to installation was abysmal. E-mails from the customer to you were usually ignored and requests by you for information as to the site etc were repeated again and again in spite of answering first time. You should understand that the majority of motability drivers will either be elderly or handicapped or both. Eventual installation by an engineer was excellent

Pod Point took ages to come and fit the charging point, we had already taken possession of the car, so had to spend another £150.00 buying a portable 3 pin plug-in charger as we do not have hardly any charging points in Kings Lynn and surrounding areas

With regards to the sub-contract installation on site, very prompt, easy installation and very helpful installer who talked me through the best options and explained fully everything that he was going to do in advance. Communication prior this from Pod Point was hit or miss with slow response times to emails and overly complicated online platforms to complete your own site surveys.

The start of the installation process was fine. I needed to upgrade the electrics in my house, fit earth bonds and route cable from the electric supply to the garage. I then paid for additional cable to be delivered as I needed 43m's. I arranged for my electrician to fit the cable. It was the type. I was first told it would be the following day then the following day I was told it would be the next Monday. This delayed the full installation process by 2 weeks. I had an open trench already dug in preparation for cable going in. This caused a lot of mud to be carried on feet into the house. The first reel of cable was left behind and only collected when the installation of the point was being done, I was given a window of between 11-4 and by 2 pm nobody was here. When I phoned I was told he would call me 1/2 hour before attending, this did not happen and the guy just arrived at 2:30. Installation was neat and tidy and all explained.

Scheduling a date for installation was poor, I was not updated regarding the scheduled person who called in sick and was left to wait all day. I called in multiple times on that day but I was only told at 4:30 pm that the individual called in sick was not go being updated on cancellation or changes.

Pod point were totally disorganised and the communication between them extremely poor when it came to the receiving and checking of information such as photos and videos However the installation was smooth with the gentleman explaining everything and putting the point at exactly the right height etc. (Thank You Jamie)

Pod point app is horrible. Have to keep logging in and out to see my home charger. Keeps showing up as thought its not already connected. Also can we not lock our cable into the main pod point rather than having to disconnect and connect when needed

It was hard work filling in the application form. Many photos requested but the file was too large to send. We then had to start again and resend.

Initial installation date had to be aborted due to lack of staffing resources, so the 7week wait extended to over 11 weeks from initial order and payment. Installation of the unit was fine. Connection of the unit to the electricity supply was fine. However the unit failed to work without problem for a couple of weeks. It turned out the wrong unit number had been registered on the system and the fact we had solar panels and storage battery incorrectly activated. Fingers crossed it works from now on!!

Pod point hardware ok Fitter blew the lighting circuit. Had to call a proper electrician to fix.
