Fitting was great. Customer service was great. I twas disappointing that the website was not clear the limitations of fitting and that we had paid for the service before that was apparent. It required us to sort our own electrician separately to lay cables.

Installer left rubbish - box and packaging for pod off cuts of wire down the side of house. Dust left all over pathway from drilling. Arrived as planned in 4 hour window and did the job.

Very frustrating dealing with podpoint I booked holiday to be available for the install only to have it cancelled at short notice. Charged extra as the cable needed was longer than their standard. The installation when it was finally organised was excellent the engineer worked hard and made a very neat job.

Pod Point admin’s non existent no confirmation of receipt of order or payment, the only time I had an answer was when I contacted them, right up to the day of installation no communication it must be quite simple to set up an automated message to say communication etc has been received and a text message on the installation day.

Process seemed very smooth and professional until the day the installer arrived. His attitude was dreadful and he was determined to find a reason not to complete the work - in fact he didn't even start! The next guy 2 days later didn't even show up (and I had changed my plans to be in for him). The third guy was excellent and courteous and professional and did a fine job. But the company needs to screen their electricians more carefully- there is obviously a couple of layers of sub-contracting...

The installation had to be carried out in two phases, which meant it was delayed beyond the delivery date of my car. One of the problems related to my consumer unit and could not have been foreseen by Pod Point; the other related to my meter box and was clearly visible on the survey photos I sent. It should have been identified before the installation visit.

Good installation but long range surveys on old houses is painful . Almost three months end to end

I have to clean up the work that was done. Was not very neatly done. Would of done a lot more myself if I knew how it would look being done by your fitter. It’s definitely not someone I would recommend

The guy who did the fitting was great. Very helpful and a laugh along the way. The whole application process is a nightmare. I promise you I’m not thick but I had no idea what half the questions were about. You need to arrange to survey the premises before installation. I can hear the good old Covid excuse coming out now….

Whole process took over 3 months. Engineer came 3 times and each time requested minor changes that needed to be made by an electrician rather than getting the full list prior to installation.

The first engineer, from EDF, spent an hour and half constantly on the phone asking what he should do. In the end he said he could not do the installation as the data cable was incorrect. Pod Point then offered to procure the cable required which cost me £160 for less than 50 metres. The internet price for the cable in question is about 50 pence per metre so pod point charged me over 6 times the market price. I had the cable delivered and fitted it myself. At the second visit, this time by an engineer from Quickcharge Limited, installation went very smoothly. Unlike the EDF representative, the Quickchaege engineer knew exactly what he was doing, did not have to keep referring to others on the phone and did a thorough and professional job in about 90 minutes. He told me that had he come on the first visit, the cat 5 e cable that the EDF engineer rejected would have been perfectly acceptable and he would have done the installation. So, Quickcharge 10 out of 10. EDF 0 out of 10.

Ordering process via email very poor with the project manager only getting back to me every 3 or 4 days with the first installation cancelled the day before. The second installation date went a head as planned and was very good. Use has been very easy.

The whole process was quite long due to the great fuel crisis of 2021 and the sudden mass adoption of EV vehicles meaning more people needing home chargers including myself. After a few month's of waiting we now have a charger fitted although after a few weeks in the device hasn't been charging at full charge speed and now running at half speed due to an issue with the installation which I am waiting to be rectified by Pod Point

The installer was maximum marks but the process was cumbersome mainly because Podpoint do not fo a survey first.

The whole booking process was not user friendly, all online, difficult to talk to someone, cancelled appointments after waiting a very long time, received a message after waiting in, that installer not coming. I had to chase for a new appointment. The questionnaire to assess site was long, not particularly easy to follow, never sure what section was complete and difficult to be accurate, and didn’t cover everything that was needed for installation ie availability for installer to view bonded stopcock?!! This would have saved so much time for the poor installer if we had known this was needed in advance of installation. Having said all of that the installers were absolutely brilliant, patient, helpful, thorough and knowledgeable and today and Neat! Great job on a listed building. Lee and James saved the day and POD POINT! I would recommend Lee and James any day! They were terrific and got it all up and running in under two hours. Very easy to follow their helpful instructions. Very clear, big thanks to Lee and James

Obtaining the charger and arrangement for fitting was done fine. Questions to the Customer Service were promptly answered. The fitting was completed efficiently. However, the first time I attempted to charge a car a fault was signalled and I had to contact Customer Service who were able to identify the problem and switch the charger onto slow charge as a temporary fix. I am waiting for a visit from a technician to make a permanent repair.

The actual installation itself was successful and the engineer did everything he could to troubleshoot on the day. However, the first scheduled installation didn’t go ahead and communication around this was poor. It took a long time to even get to the installation so customer service hasn’t been the best throughout the whole process
