Ordered my home charger on 23rd September. Was told that installation would be 2-3 weeks. Since ordering have filled out OLEV documents 3 times and still not been given an installation date. Live in a very rural areas so popping out to recharge not very practical. Will be asking for a full refund as local supplier has said they can install in 2-3 days with full grant. Only went with Pod Point as recommended by Motorpoint Hyundai. It is impossible to communicate with Pod Point as no emails are replied to and the telephone number goes to a full mailbox.

Firstly Stoneacre said only the purchaser could have the Podpoint installation installed. As a company car, this meant it would be the workplace that had the charger. Not the end of the world until you get mid process, only to find out that you can't have a domestic charger on a commercial premises. After Podpoint failed to sell a commercial installation at an extra charge, it was accepted that the Podpoint charger could in fact be installed at the car users address after all. However, Podpoint managed to close the case at their end for no apparent reason, and regardless of the numerous calls and emails chasing an installation date. 5 months later and after more calls again, we finally got an installation date. This has to be one of the poorest organised firms going. Baring in mind that the majority of the correspondence was with personnel titled as management. The installation day was the only positive. The person who installed was on time and polite. Had the install done within approx 90-120 mins.

Initial process was awful. Engineer who came for the installation was brilliant. People who are in the office need to learn. No communication what so ever despite of paying promptly.

The pod-point unit itself seems fine, but the installer didn't seem to have much customer service training, or care for the job, the trunking was poorly installed and the installer did not follow my instructions to lay the external cable where I asked. When I got in touch with the contractors, they agreed that the trunking was poorly installed and sent back the same installer to finish off the trunking, still managed to chip the trunking, but I don't have the energy to call them back, so will live with it. See photos below, before and after I called them back, you can see the end cap is chipped still! Sad thing is the exact same installer did a great job at my cousins house a couple of weeks earlier! I just don't understand!

The whole process was extremely disappointing and it ended taking nearly 4 months from payment to installation (all information was provided within the first couple of weeks). It has now been installed today but the key lock, which I paid additional for, doesn't work. I'm really fed up.

Extremely time consuming, still waiting for connection. Very poor coordination by PID point organising team.- failure to seek viability with supplier.

Getting to the point of install was ridiculous. Unanswered emails, poor information etc etc. I had the car a month with no charger, missed work etc etc. Good bit- installer was pleasant, tidy and efficient. No problem at all with this part.

I just cancelled my installation with Pod Point. Really unprofessional customer service. I was chasing them, being on hold all the time (15 mins to get through). They didn't reply to my emails, & then gave me an install date without telling me. I only found out when I finally got through & I asked. They made no attempt to keep me as a customer.

Installer spend about 2 hours on the phone whilst installing my device. Most of that discussion was as to how many jobs he needed to do with that one day. Tried to charge my car after installation and unfortunately the charge doesn’t work. Also all work is outsourced to another company.

Very disappointing experience. After waiting a number of weeks for an appointment the pod point did not charge. It kept cutting off after 30 seconds. I called the engineer the next morning and were advised that he or the office would come straight back to me. A week later I still have heard nothing. Really poor customer service.

No apologies and no regrets for abysmal service. See the correspondence. The installer was pleasant enough but did not fit the wi-fi connection and left a mess behind him. He seemed ill versed in corona precautions.

The installer was very nice and good but the pod point was faulty and doesn't work and no-one has contacted us to arrange a replacement.

Awful, but just as awful as the alternatives. Nobody to answer the phone, no help, no advice, ordering process seems complicated and far too many emails. It's basically a plug outside a house FFS.

The installation didn’t happen. After several weeks since ordering the device the installer was booked to come yesterday morning. I had taken the morning off but had to leave my husband at lunchtime to go to my hospital to work. They decided they couldn’t go under the floorboards despite many other wires passing under there, didn’t talk about above ground .. mentioned we may be able to have in the garage but would need an electrician to install extra boxes and left. Dreadful service from start to this far. Not impressed at all and thinking of asking for a refund.
