Ease of ordering and scheduling, but unfortunately installed too close to drain pipe and so have to force-fit cable every morning

Technician hasn't check my main consumer unit and after the drilling som of the wire get lose. Now notice that potently he installed 3kw POD not as I paid 7KW

Have to say that once the installer arrived, he was the consummate professional. He described the services provided by Pod Point and took time to explain how it works, despite being late for his next appointment [not his fault at all - for some reason POD Point had decided to have him fetch the things he needed from Knightsbridge, in the run up to Xmas, when he had no experience of driving in London and was delayed by severe tourist/shopping traffic]. Please plan things better next time.

The engineer fitted the pod point quickly and exactly where I wanted it. As there’s no where to put why I’m disgruntled, I’ll put it here: Unfortunately the PCB was badly manufactured, had solder burn marks all over it and didn’t work. The spare box that was given to the engineer came without a PCB fitted. Meaning a return trip in a week and no charging point for myself. This experience would have been a 5* if it weren’t for the incompetence of those behind the scenes.

Many apologies for your experience Andrew - human error led to the spare pcb being unsuitable for install. We have since put checks in place which ensure this will not happen again.

I had to wait far too long for my pod point to be installed (9 weeks since purchase). Nissan told me there wouldn't be a problem that I was moving house 2 weeks after purchasing my car because pod point take this long to arrange an installation date, however pod point needed verification of my new address before arranging an installation date, which I couldn't provide until I had moved, and then had to wait a further month for a date. The date could have been arranged and then proof of address provided before the date. Very limited to dates, times and engineers. Upon installation it turns out my electric meter amp is too low and whilst the installer was great in explaining and went ahead and fitted my podpoint at a lower voltage for now, he seemed to have come across this problem many times in my area before... so why don't podpoint send someone to check this before installation? The installation itself was done efficiently and quickly and everything was explained and demonstrated to me great.

Hi Hailey, many apologies for the delay on your install. We require proof of address before we can arrange installation as to meet OLEV criteria. This should have been communicated by both the dealership and Pod Point clearer than it was. Our lead time for survey is the same time-frame as for installation, so our approach is try to equip our installer with all the available tools for a first time install; and return at the next available date in the event there is anything we've overlooked. 95% of installations end up going ahead on the first attempt. Unfortunately due to supply restrictions at your property, we were limited to installing a 3kW Pod Point. Many apologies for your experience, we have since spoken to both your dealership and our own team to ensure this process is smoother and more transparent in the future. I loved the final installation and the installer was very professional. Unfortunately he was convinced we were in a conservation area ( which we are not) and refused to start work unless a council official told him it was ok. This caused a stressful situatuin for me since it took time and energy which could have been prevented by him believing me in the first place. Please check facts before coming to a remote location.

Our current supply was not enough for the faster charge. This was not pointed out to us at any stage. This will be corrected and we currently have the slower charge up and running.

I felt that PODPOint could have made the experience easier by providing more detailed installation requirements available when choosing installation options and more importantly prior to installation. This would have negated a wasted visit by their engineers and repeated visits from an electrician to prepare for the installation.
