Installer Iain very helpful and clear but experience from booking and the policy of on site survey only is very bad. Extra costs not known before booking does not allow somebody to price you against your competitors. None of this explained by the very casual booking staff when placing order. This is something you should review for sure.

Dear Mike, Thanks for the feedback. Those jobs which do require extra work are very much the minority, so it's a balancing act between providing too much information that makes the process unduly cumbersome and identifying issues that may lead to additional costs. This balance is something we continuously review. At present we ask three questions to identify potential issues and this picks up most, unfortunately yours had a more subtle challenge. Should the site visit identify additional issues then it becomes a free survey with a no obligation quote on the additional costs. Customers are free to get works completed elsewhere if they would prefer. Apologies for the inconvenience suffered, but we're glad Iain did a good job.

Having busted the main switch on the consumer unit by not holding on to the door while unscrewing it, Emma did her best to locate a new one and diligently fitted it, making herself very late (7.30pm) to head off.

The completed installation seems fine and does the job intended - which charges my Nissan Leaf at about three times the rate of the 3-pin plug charger. However, I was very dissatisfied with the 'pushy' attitude of the installer (Errol) who was trying over & over to persuade me to agree to the installation of an earth rod for an extra £114 (which had not been mentioned by POD Point), and which I do not believe I needed. He also seemed to be playing 'games' with me over the temporary loss of power to the house whilst he was carrying out the installation.

Installation went very smoothly, in about 2 hours. Shame about the initial installation date being cancelled. Then late arriving to install the point today. But the engineer was very good.

Installation excellent once fitter had sourced extra part required. He had not been passed the additional info/photo we provided Pod Point. This was disappointing for us/him. He went out of his way to ensure the installation could go ahead despite having to source & collect part which took an extra 2 hours on top of a 3 hour journey to reach us. Please pass on info to the fitters provided by the customer.

It was a good job I was there and checking the work as the guy almost installed the wrong size point. A little unset by the little contact on the time the engineer would be there too. Its done now so that all thats matter I guess.

Engineers were friendly but they seemed rushed and therefore the level of customer service was limited. They arrived earlier then the time they had specified without calling me so I was lucky to be at home. The installation was swift and rushed. They asked for my signature at the end of the installation without explaining

Not very, despite turning on and off at mains, still no white light on unit - just violet. Also no podpoint wireless signal

Acceptable process for new Nissan Leaf home charging point installation. It took several telephone calls between PODPoint, me and the Nissan dealer to establish that I was entitled to a free home charger. After that, there was a bit of confusion over the installation date. Despite informing the PODPoint call centre handlers and during the internet application process of the various loads (i.e. electric showers, electric cooker, electric hob) on my home consumer unit, this information was not relayed to installation engineer.

Good flexibility with regard to installation dates. However installation was done only just to an acceptable level, leaving broken bricks on outside of wall. Plus since installation the locking key mechanism has stopped working. I have left a message asking for support but no reply received. (3 days+)
