I gave this review a three because the person that came out to fit the pod was great. It was quick and he kept in contact with us so we know what time to expect him. However it took 6 weeks from ordering the pod to have it fitted. The initial phone call to take the money and get our details was very quick. However I then had to twice chase up the email that was to be sent giving me the information about what details you needed from me. Also when that email was sent (after over two weeks) within 24 hours I had been sent a reminder email chasing up the fact that I had not replied. I did not find this a positive experience.

Hi Catherine, I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused by Austin's illness this week. I appreciate this exacerbated your weight time during a busy period in your region and meant a wasted day off work. I hope his agreement to come and complete the installation on a Sunday to prevent you taking another day off work was some consolation, but please let us know what else we could have done to make this a 5 star experience: hello@pod-point.com. Installer was very helpful, explaining what he needed to do, what access to electrics he needed, and then explained very clearly how the point worked going forward. However, the during the installation, the installer removed our only power socket from the side garage where he took the electricity cable source, and I am now going to have to pay for an electrician to reinstate the power socket in the garage. Also, there quite a bit of cable cuttings left on the floor which weren't cleared following the installation - usually not a problem but I have a couple of small children and the metal cuttings on the floor were quite sharp.

I asked for the longest cable, told 4.5m. During the installation installer told me a 7.5 meter cable is available but not carried by him. So stuck with a 4.5m cable when I could have gotten a longer one.

Booking installation with POD Point was very easy and they were very efficient. The guy installing it turned up in good time and installed POD Point neatly. However, I've come to use it and he hasn't left me the correct cable. I'll be in touch shortly to resolve.

The pod point I had agreed to be installed was the universal 7KW type. Unfortunately the engineer had been given incorrect information on the type that was to be installed. I had initially asked for the tethered type, but changed it afterwards for the universal type. I don't have the EV at the moment so it is not an inconvenience. I was happy with the installation as it was done neatly and quickly but it was unfortunate that the correct type was not installed. I spoke to the engineer and I was told the universal type would be installed this week.

Thanks for the feedback Robert, we apologise for the mixup in this instance and we're relieved to hear the timing hasn't been a problem. Glad it was a tidy install also - we have some amazing installers. We'll be looking into why some wires were crossed on the unit type. Please get in contact if any further feedback!

It works. I could have done without so many phone calls on the day of installation and I order a lockable version which I seem not to have got.

Hi Kevin, apologies for missing the lock. I understand we've got a return visit to put that right already scheduled. With regards to the phone calls, I'm sorry you found them a nuisance, but Leighton's done exactly what we ask of him there. Our POD Point Experts are trained to keep the customer informed of their movements, arrival time etc as regularly as possible. You'll note from the other comments it's something that most of our customers really appreciate. That said, we note your concern and have taken it on board. Thanks!

Dealing with POD Point initially was a disaster, we took delivery of our Nissan Leaf before Christmas and finally got the unit installed on 3rd February. In contrast with dealing with your office the installation engineer did an excellent job, neat, tidy and on time. You need people of his calibre as support staff.

Dear Rodney, A quick look shows yours was reviewed as a "non-standard" installation. It is clear we haven't got this one right and I apologise for the lengthy delay. We will be investigating what happened and how we can ensure we don't repeat the delays. Conversely, I am glad Nick did a good job at site. He's a great guy. Apologies again for the delay and thank you very much for your feedback.

Easy communications. The installer called to let me know he might be late. The product looks good.

Hi Hugh, apologies on both counts. I believe the return visit is being planned and we'll be in touch shortly. I've adjusted your name on our systems - the mistake may have been input by your dealer. We're looking into what went wrong with the kit supply to our installer and will try to eliminate that process flaw. I'm glad you appreciated Brandon's work, though. Apologies again. But thanks for choosing POD Point and thanks for the feedback on some areas we can improve.

Flawless installation but it did not come with the locking system which I purchased and was told it would be fitted as soon as possible. Still have not got it fitted a couple of weeks later
