“A terrible experience. Carpark closed down. Not notified beforehand. Had to go to long stay. No bus transfer. Miles away from the terminal. No signs to the terminal - had to walk on the road with cars beeping me. Terrifying. Mobility problems. No contact telephone number for Plane parking. I want to complain and want a full refund”

As advised in your booking confirmation, Plane Parking is currently non-operational during the winter season and that you have been upgraded to the long stay car park. As advised on the sign it states 'pre booked? you have been upgraded' and I can confirm the upgrade details are on your booking confirmation.
We are unable to offer a refund as you were upgraded to a more premium car park and I can confirm that you were notified when you made your booking.

“Plane Parking was closed when I arrived. A passing truck driver advised me to park in the LongStay carpark. This was not at all clear when I originally booked. I wasted about 30 minutes trying to figure out what to do and was late for my flight.”

“Easy online transaction, and best price at Edinburgh Airport. The actual Plane Parking site is closed at the moment, but got a free upgrade to long stay site. Only problem was how to exit the car park, which was not described clearly. You pick up a ticket on entry, and you insert ticket on exit. I spoke to the attendant on exit, and once ticket was inserted - barrier lifted.”

“Very close to arrivals, only thing i would say is to include postcode for carpark in email receipt, as this carpark isn't signed as plane parking and we ended up nearly parking in the wrong carpark. Once we realised it was this one we knew we were in the right place and perfect for getting to arrivals sharp.”

I am sorry to hear of your recent experience whilst using our Car Park. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes.
