“The cheddar cheese I purchased has mouldy taste despite good use by date, I had to dispose it.”

“I ordered 2 goose breasts for Christmas. They were cooked as per your guide. The taste was excellent but the meat was very tough. Should they be cooked for longer or were we unlucky with our goose ??”

“Turkey itself was good and well packaged. Unfortunately the cooking time advised was far shorter than the Turkey needed. Having followed instructions and after leaving to rest we then found it was still raw inside and had to recook. Difficult to tell whether quality was good after that which was disappointing.”

“The bones for the bone broth were excellent. The two free range chickens were unfortunately extremely fatty to the point everyone made a comment about it. The belly of pork was 90% fat. I know belly of pork had a lot of fat but this was literally like just eating fat. The bacon was excellent. Real mixed first experience.”

“Photos looks better than reality. Even though it could be cheaper than Waitrose or M&S. We bought essential meat box. Milk of high quality. Comes in proper packaging icluding felt with a cow smell.”

“Chicken wings are covered in hair! Tried to clean and pluck them and don’t think will be ordering again. What a shame. My first order was perfect but last two same issue. I’m”

Hi Simon, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Pipers Farm. We always aim to provide top-notch customer service and value your feedback - it’s what helps us to keep the standards high. Pipers Farm beleive freezing is natures preservative and we do say next to each item, under the storage tab 'All of our meat is delivered frozen ready to pop straight into your freezer, once defrosted these can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days.' The only acception to this is Whole Geese,Whole Tukeys or Turkey Crowns which are sent fresh at Christmas time. If you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out. “We've been getting "special occasion" meat from Pipers Farm for several years and have found the service, reliability and, not least, the quality of the meat to be unfailingly superlative. We have this year's Christmas order in and are expecting it later this week. However, we recently cooked a smaller joint of rolled, boned pork shoulder. The meat was beautifully tender and had the flavour you only get from happy pigs, but the joint gave out a huge amount of fat and left us with only just enough meat for a single meal for two! We always cheerfully pay the money for great quality, but this did not at all represent good value, unfortunately. In the past we've managed a roast dinner then enough for cold the next day, but not this time!”

“The products are great but sadly products are regularly out of stock - steak pies, tumeric and ginger broth, Kefia etc etc which makes pipers farm an unreliable company. Hope things improve and this honest feedback is actioned! Thank you”

“The meat ( a small rolled sirloin) was quite dry and I was surprised that date of freezing was April 2023 so it was over 7 months old. Normally meat is recommended to be frozen for 3 months. Not sure I would order some more unless it was a bit ‘younger’.”

Hi Giles, I am terribly sorry for the confusion, the date on the date is the best before date, which is 6 months after the delivery date and not the date of freezing. “Good meat. Good Service. Well wrapped. Returning customer. High prices could be more competitive. Truly the only let-down is their chosen delivery service. The drivers never ring the bell and don't follow instructions for parcel placement, choosing to dump £200+ of meat in full view of passers-by. Also, my last box was severely damaged - which shows no respect for its contents. Pipers Farm advised. Hopefully, future deliveries will be better.”

“Good food good quality Unfortunately I won’t be ordering again as I spent 30 minutes trying to order but being told no delivery to my address or my parents or my friends and I have orders before to the address So don’t know what the problem is but won’t be being messed about by this again”

“We bought a few different items this time- things to make a cassoulet (which have never let me down) and what I’ve been waiting for to return to Pipers Farm- mutton! We bought a mixture of the stew pack and the diced. Diced was all good, fab flavour. However, the stew pack was good in flavour, but completely covered in fat and bone (bone was expected), but after slow cooking it for a curry we found that there was very little meat on the cut and way too much fat (approx 1” thick) and even less meat. I wouldn’t buy this specific product again as it wasn’t worth the money.”

“Not as good as usual- before has been not as chewy and a bit more fat than previously beef still tasted nice though, but may only be buying special occasions though or when theres free delivery on in future as getting costly.”
