Top class quality of meat from my previous orders, however living alone I find your minimum monetary spend has increased from £30 to £40 which I find excessive together with postage increase.

Hi Marie, Thank you for your kind comments about the quality of our meat, we really appreciate your continued support. We completely understand that a £40 minimum order can feel challenging, especially for customers ordering for one. The minimum order value is linked to the fixed costs involved in carefully packaging and delivering products safely. These costs have risen significantly, particularly for insulated packaging, ice packs, and overnight delivery. To keep our produce nice and cold and delivered in perfect condition, each order incurs the same preparation and delivery costs regardless of size. We subsidise a large proportion of these costs so customers don’t have to pay the full amount themselves, and the minimum order helps us absorb those expenses while continuing to offer the quality and service you expect from us. We genuinely value customers like you and your feedback, and we’ll continue to look for ways to balance affordability with maintaining our standards. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Best Wishes, James

The smoked gammon was, as it always is, excellent. 5 stars We decided to have pork instead of a Pipers Farm chicken for Christmas this year. It was a disappointment. Much to our surprise, in spite of long careful roasting, although the meat turned out to be well cooked and tasty, there was a great deal of fat layered within it. The ratio of fat to meat must have been 50:50. Unusual for boned rolled leg, even for slowly grown pigs. Two stars. The crackling wasn't up to much either. This is the first time Pipers Farm has let us down in ten years

I’ve ordered from Pipers for years and have always been very happy with the products and delivery but this year was different. My Christmas order was due on the 23rd but as I got no message to say when it was being delivered I contacted Pipers at 8am - there was no response and that continued all day. Result was a very stressful day making calls and trying to decide whether to go out and buy something locally. The order did eventually arrive on the 24th but I then had to rush as the ham joint was required for dinner that evening. The actual order was complete, nothing missing and the meat was as good as usual but the whole experience could have been much better handled and given the number of complaints that I’ve seen on the internet a message on the website would have really helped. I shall have to think long and hard before ordering again.

Dealings with the farm were fine, but DPD dumped our expensive package in our paddock 50 from the house. By the time we found the package, it was totally soaked by the heavy rain. You need to engage a more reliable courier!

Shoping with you was an experience. While chosing my meat I was not sure what amount I was buying , so it was surprise when we opened the bag. In the future I will only shop where I know how much I am buying. Barbara

Hi, recently I got my order on Tuesday after ordering on thursday 24.07, everything was great however the 2x sourdoughs were disappointing as they were so hard and dry. I was expecting to taste the best sourdough of my life but they just didn't seem fresh maybe due to the fact we ordered on a thursday and didn't receive until Tuesday. We really love Pipers farm but this was rather disappointing. Thanks and best wishes

Hi Christopher, Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that you love Pipers Farm, but we genuinely regret that the sourdough did not meet your expectations. We understand how disappointing it can be to receive bread that isn't as fresh as you hoped. I have checked our inbox and I can't see that we have had any contact from you regarding this, would you be able to send us your order details at hello@pipersfarm.com so that we can look into this and get to resolving things for you? We appreciate your support and hope to bring you an improved experience with our products in the future! Best Wishes, James

Their meat is good quality but I am unhappy with the way I was treated. I had ordered items which were not included in the package I received and I had not been notified in advance about this or advised that they were missing on receipt of the order. Yet my payment had not been reduced at that stage. I had to email the company before receiving a refund. They said they would have refunded me eventually. I still think this is a poor way to treat a customer.

Food was great. I put the wrong address on and contacted Piper's to let them know. I accept that's my problem and my error but I would have expected a reply eventually. In the end it proved lucky as the requested gift message wasn't in the parcel so when it went to the wrong address I was able to intercept and put my own so the recipient knew who it came from.

Redeeming points is complicated and tedious. One can only redeem in your designated multiples which is ridiculous. I earn points, I am surely entitled to use them when I want - I am in South Africa ordering for my children in the UK

The food was very well packaged and on time. However, having ordered a whole wild mallard, supposedly, big enough for two people, I'm wondering if those 2 people had had a massive meal immediately beforehand. It was, without doubt, the smallest duck I've ever encountered. Very underwhelming. I'm hoping the other items purchased are a little more rewarding.

Services generally good but all this 10% before a certain time seems to be a crafty gimmick I just can’t see the reduction at all ever

Good evening, regarding my first purchase I can be quite satisfied. The chicken was good and beef mince delicious. Only one thing,in my opinion one pack of beef mince had been frozen in a wrong way...the colour was a bit off. And the app not very well organised, I had chosen Monday delivery....but at the same day one of your operator told me that you don't delivery Sunday and Monday but in the app I could choose that day. Anyway, thanks.

Ordering was simple and efficient. We expected, and made our plans around it, to take delivery on Tuesday 5th. In fact, we had to rearrange plans as the delivery did not arrive until Wednesday 6th. Even the Dpd driver commented that, on his sheet, it had said delivery on 5th. We feel a little disappointed about this and were initially quite concerned because the meat was completely defrosted when it arrived. A phone call from your customer service team did serve to reassure us that it would be safe to refreeze the meat, which we have done.

I would like to hear how animals are treated humanely and with respect at the point of slaughter as well as how they are kept during their lifetime. I think many people become vegetarian because they cannot cope with the way animals are treated. My feeling is if animals have as natural a life as possible, the environment is given consideration (soil, hedgerows, wildlife etc) and the end of life is as least stressful as possible then meat CAN be an occasional treat and enjoyed. Of course if you're raising a young family you probably don't have the extra money it costs or the time to give it any thought, unfortunately. I wish High Welfare Meat was available in supermarkets and labelled as such - and the public could feel confident that the label was genuine.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with Pipers Farm. We truly appreciate hearing from our customers. We believe that when it comes to meat it is vital to eat meat produced in harmony with nature, with respect for the animal and respect for the planet, if this means, due to affordability, that you eat one quality meat meal a week instead of 7 meat meals using factory farmed meat, the better it is for your health, the health of the planet and the health of those animals. As farmers, we are part of nature, a complex system that requires an unwavering respect for all natural life. Death too is part of nature, and by disconnecting ourselves from this only opens the door to abuse. If we do not properly scrutinise every part of the rearing and processing of meat we are opening ourselves up to increasing domination of factory and globalised food production. Best Wishes, James

I have no qualms about the products but I have problems with the DPD courier. This happened twice already where DPD leaves the parcel outside the building and it's out in the open. The driver doesn't even bother to read the instructions in the parcel to ring our doorbell. The only solution given was to download the courier app so we know when it's delivered. That's ridiculous to say the least. I can't be checking my phone every single minute to check the delivery and it would only takes a few minutes for a thief to steal a parcel when it's left unattended. It's frustrating because we truly like the products of this company but if it gets stolen, what's the point of ordering and this will only waste both the company and my time. We are currently looking for a different alternative now. Such a shame because we've been using this company for years now but I fear that we can't continue because of the number of stolen packages surrounding our area. On top of this, the box was half open because the tape was no longer sealing half of it.

I ordered first time a selection of sausages from you. Only tried the chicken so far but,to be honest was disappointed as very little flavour and tough skins. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news and as I try your other sausages, which I think have natural skins, I will keep you posted. I have skinned the chicken sausages, added flavouring and will make chicken burgers. Mo N
