“The meat I buy is great but a lot of what I would like to repeat buy is unavailable. Perhaps this is seasonal? I would like giblets included in the whole chickens I purchase. Otherwise the quality and packing and delivery is excellent. Everything tastes great!”

“Beautifully packed, haven't used other than the 2 steaks, which were very nice. Chicken legs I have cooked, but still in doubt about code?GB 2865 Which comes up Halal slaughter, hopefully it's wrong. I wished I'd have chosen individual meats, has we have a problem with fat. The other meats look good.looking forward to trying them.& I will say good luck, it's hard work has I know well.”

Hi Veronica, Thank you for the 5 star review. I can confirm that the code on the Chicken is in relation to our old site in Exeter (we have since moved into a brand new unit) where the chicken was prepared as we do not display abattoir codes on our products, but I can assure you that we do not follow any religious guidelines with the slaughter of our animals. “The quality of all their products, especially meat, is exceptional- hence my return custom. However, I have an eversion (almost hatred!) of plastic. Another supplier (organic) I sometimes purchase from will ship in butchers paper, which I can then repackage in boxes before putting in the freezer. And, another supplier, used cold packs made from paper with biodegradable gel. If these two options were available, I would go give 5 stars.”

“A real treat ordering from Pipers. Quite a few items out of stock of late, which can be a little frustrating but nevermind. Prices going up like everything else so even more of a considered purchase than before. I do not want to eat factory farmed food though. Thank you Pipers Farm please stay true. We are a small low income family, not fancy, so every bite like I say, is considered and appreciated. Best Wishes”

“First order from Pipers Farm. Arrived on time and in environmentally friendly packaging. My disappointment was that our Christmas turkey was delivered with a best before date of 24th December. Apparently it will be fine but just won't be "at its best". Surely a Christmas turkey should be at its best for Christmas day? I was a little worried about cooking it, however it was fine and all the family commented on how tasty it was. Just really disappointed that they could not deliver a turkey that I could confidently cook on Christmas Day itself.”

“The Piper Philosophy “Our mission is to produce delicious food” - Every one new to Pipers remarks on how tasty it is. “In harmony with nature” - We evolved in natural surroundings, not in factories, as did our food sources. “Best quality products” - These can be achieved only by organic, bio-dynamic, chemical free/ growth hormone free farming. I hope this is the case. “Sustainably”. Assume in a farming context, this refers to maintaining the integrity of the soil and the land over time. In the globalist lexicon it is about population reduction, so perhaps the word is best avoided. How about “for future generations.” Packaging: Sheep’s wool has many uses and is said to be compostable. The jury is out on health effects of plastic food wrapping More information from Pipers would be appreciated. “Best possible experience from farm to dinner plate” Why risk the quality of the food by poor delivery service? It would seem every DPD driver so far either does not understand instructions or chooses to ignore them. All deliveries are deposited on the front doorstep, even in warm sunshine. Neighbours cannot accept frozen foods as it is not their responsibility to store them appropriately. DPD preaching Net Zero nonsense is insulting and is at odds with Pipers philosophy. Why pay for delivery if the customer is advised to collect goods by car or balance two heavy boxes on a bicycle?? Should mothers leave the kids at home while they do this or should the elderly put the heavy boxes on their head while they cycle home through the traffic? Ridiculous.”

“I love products and the ideas and values behind it. The only thing that could improve: I received my order in late afternoon of warm summer day and quite a few products were defrosted. Maybe additional ice pack could help with this, as I am worried now to order fish. Thank you :)”

“Very pleased with the chicken, pork steaks, and gammon which was very tasty. The sour dough bread unfortunately was very hard and stale could not cut slices Very well had to toast most of it and discard the rest which was not a good experience.”

“Great meat, however terrible customer experience We bought a ham for Easter - and guess what - no cooking instructions! They say: you get cooking instructions REALITY: you get a card with their social media that says to find instruction there They say: go to our website for cooking instructions REALITY: no link to any cooking instructions Great website for buying, terrible post sale experience no support for actually cooking the products they sell - which would be fine, but they promised the instructions”

“Delivery was prompt, and packaging well done, with obvious thought to the environment. The fish and meat I bought were both fresh and of great quality. It is more expensive than a supermarket, but I'm happy to pay extra for the welfare of the animals and care towards the environment. However, its expensive enough that I'll order sparingly, and that's the idea, to eat a little less meat and fish.”

“wow, what can I say about the quality of the food we received? It was absolutely fab-u-lous! The meat was top-notch, and we’ll definitely be ordering again because it was just that good. Now, for the comedy of errors... the delivery! The driver left the package on the doorstep and didn’t wait for anyone to answer. Lucky for me, someone was home—because living on Main Street with my door right on the pavement is a bit of a gamble! If no one had been in, that delicious meat might have been theirs, not ours! But seriously, hats off to the supplier—the quality of the meat is excellent, and that’s what counts. Maybe next time, I’ll camp by the door to make sure I don’t miss it!”
