The order arrived on time. Easy to choose shopping. The package is all frozen nothing fresh and very well shipped, it is a good service. The meat that I bought, chicken, mince, lamb, looks good but the taste compare to other farms was not the best. Price quality=3

On my recent order I ordered 2 pork steaks for £3 these items were tiny and mostly fat and the price of 2 for £3 was incorrect apparently, they were £3 each. Very disappointed

This was delivered as a gift. The message was not included in the delivery and the invoice was put in the box. Both the Chutneys ordered were not delivered. I found out because I checked. The products were on point, but not satisfied overall..

Ordered from Pipers Farm when staying at my parents house in Surrey as am use to great Wiltshire farm shops and wanted to see if they could supply us when in Surrey. Booking and delivery experience was great, easy and convenient. Products all arrived in good condition. They have a good range of products but miss the variety and high quality of our local farm shops. It is a good alternative if you are looking for straight from farm source in area where there is not many direct options.

Nice products but they come frozen. This is noted under the delivery details but I felt it could have been made more apparent. I thought I was buying fresh meat.

Hi Angela, thank you for your review. I'm very sorry to hear of this confusion, we always send items frozen in our deliveries as we believe freezing to be natures way of preserving food. We do mention that our items are sent frozen on each product page and in the FAQS amongst other places. I am sorry that you did not see this information on the Pipers Farm website and that you were expecting this fresh. If there is anything our team can do to help please do let us know.

Have only tried the mushroom lasagne so far, which sadly was disappointing, as it had chillies in, which I was totally not expecting. I am not a fan of recipes that insist on putting chillies in everything. Really hoping that the rest of the items ordered are not the same.

Quality of products seems good, as usual, but most items had defrosted completely and the rest partially by the time they were delivered to me at my door: after 5 pm. The courier was not late. The time was as scheduled by DPD, but obviously there is a problem with frozen products in mid-summer unless an earlier time in the day can be guaranteed.

Thank you for sharing feedback with me, Our team do include additional ice when it is very hot. We always send items frozen in our deliveries as Freezing is nature's way of preserving food. You can safely defrost and re-freeze Pipers Farm meat Because we have grown our meat so carefully you can defrost and freeze your meat too. There is a widespread faux pas that you can’t re-freeze meat once it has been defrosted. While we would not recommend you do not do this with supermarket meat, this is one of the benefits of shopping with Pipers Farm, our meat is completely safe to re-freeze. I hope this helps? The reason for ordering from you was to try your black pudding. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with it. Although it had good-sized pieces of fat, it had virtually no taste. There was no aroma from the pudding being cooked. When I was a teenager about 65 years ago I could smell black pudding being cooked throughout the house. I have bought black pudding from several different sources. I have been uniformly disappointed with the products.

The fish had defrosted and I had to cook and eat it that day! I checked our cctv and the delivery was left on the doorstep at 1009am and I arrived home at 1040, very surprised to find it had defrosted in that amount of time.

Good company to deal with but has issues, was told by email order was delayed a week due to recent weather, goods then turn up following day! just as well we were in at the time otherwise these goods would have been totally defrosted.

I bought five steaks and one was small, and clearly poorer quality. My guests got the good ones and I had to have this one. The small amount of meat on it was tough and chewy. This has put me off buying meat on line as these were not cheap. Disappointed

Meat seems lovely but not sure what was fresh suitable for freezing and what had defrosted en route and shouldn’t be frozen - all packs marked can be frozen! But sandwich steak seemed fresh and glad I decided to use straight away because it was frozen deep in the middle of pack so glad I didn’t refreeze. I did email to ask but received no reply.

This delivery was a disappointment compared to previous orders the box was open on arrival and had it been delivered at a later time it would have been defrosted! (Yes we are having a heat wave) also one item was missing I chose not to pursue issue.

The products from these farmers are excellent and I would have given 5 stars. The packaging is awful and not just once but most times. Please try and sort this it let’s you down.

Father In Law enjoyed the cheeses ans crackers: even the chutney was delicious. Just a shame that the 2nd order never arrived for my Dad :-( Got a £10 apology, but still unsure if I will use again

The chicken (with giblets, fab) and chops were very nice, as were the sausages but I'm not 100% sure about them and the bread oats definitely being gluten-free as I felt a bit ropey after them on two separate days but that could be my own sensitivity not the ingredients, I don't know. I went through the Top Cashback website to get a discount on my first order but although Top Cashback recorded it, Pipers Farm did not honour it so I lost out on nearly £10 discount.

Several items in my order arrived defrosted as the cold blocks were at one end of the packed order so the items furthest away were completely defrosted. When I sent in a complain the reply was to refreeze the items (I received the reply 3 days later as my order arrived at 7pm on Friday so I had already eaten them when I had wanted to keep them for later) and to read the care sheet. There was no care sheet in my order. Saying that, I have since eaten the fillet steak which was fabulous quality as were the lamb burgers, but I was not keen on the smooth texture of the beef, blue cheese and red onion burgers.

This is because we have grown our meat so carefully you can defrost and freeze your meat too. There is a widespread faux pas that you can’t re-freeze meat once it has been defrosted. While we would not recommend you do not do this with supermarket meat, this is one of the benefits of shopping with Pipers Farm, our meat is completely safe to re-freeze. Our team have thought long and hard about what we charge for delivery however due to the increased costs, we have unfortunately had to restructure our charges as a result. We do still subsidise our delivery and packaging whilst also ensuring we remain sustainable in every aspect, including delivery so that we can continue to always pay our farmers a fair price for the food they produce. Maybe need to look at the amount of “ice packs “used when client only orders a small amount of meat as a trial of service.
