Hello There was nothing at all wrong with the product. It was a gift for a friend. However…. I placed an order for a selected future date as the recipient was away and paid for the privilege. However when I received the confirmation the order stated it would be delivered the following day. I emailed immediately to get it changed to correct date but amazingly got told I couldn’t as it was already packaged and sent (within 10 mins of order placed). This is baffling. Didn’t even try to help instead concentrated on blaming me for ordering it incorrectly (that is admittedly plausible). Sadly I won’t be using your service again and will be warning all my bbq groups to also avoid using your service.

Awful food all around. Tasteless and the turkey was inedible. When I contacted customer services I got a cold blunt reply offering h nothing at all. Not even a little sympathy. I won’t be using this company ever again and would not recommend them. We ended up feeding the £70 turkey to the dog.

Hi Ash, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I can see that we have responded to your comments and questions by email and we are sorry that you didn't enjoy the taste of the item that you ordered as everything was butchered and prepared to our incredibly high standards. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the other items that you ordered. Best Wishes, James

Pre-ordered our Christmas delivery on 1 November for delivery on 23 December. The delivery never arrived... and the order hasn’t even been passed to DPD. Despite three emails, multiple phone calls, and repeated attempts via live chat, there has been no response whatsoever. No update, no explanation, no warning that our Christmas order wouldn’t arrive. Just complete silence. £180 has left my account since november and 'order confirmed', yet there is no food and no communication. That is not a delay or cancellation, it is a total failure of customer service and basic business responsibility. At best, this shows severe mismanagement. At worst, it feels like taking money for orders they are unable or unwilling to fulfil (bankruptcy?) Failing to deliver a Christmas order is bad enough. Failing to communicate at all is unacceptable. Judging by recent reviews, this is clearly not an isolated incident. I will never use Pipers Farm again and would strongly caution anyone considering them for something important like a Christmas order. This has been a stressful, disappointing experience and completely undermines any trust in the brand. Thankfully I live in London so lots of stores still open, but if I still lived in the countryside there would be no other choice. Not worth the risk ordering from them.

Mis-sold 4kg Christmas cockerel. We paid £71 for a 4kg cockerel only to receive a 3.27kg cockerel this morning - 23rd Dec. We've been trying to get hold of them all day via phone, email, web-chat and Facebook. No answer. Shockingly bad service. We would never use them again and suggest you don't waste your time or money either.

Food arrived battered to death more than once, pigs in blankets all unravelled, stuffing broken up and lamb in a bag fit for a whole cow

Cancelled order immediately after order, they refused to cancel, piper farm is not a farm, it supplies from farms. I contacted the supplier fen Farm, they called to see if they would be OK to cancel the order, the declined. A company desperate for a sale , no appreciation of consumer rights. Rude, difficult staff. One last thing they do not answer their phones. I sent 5 emails before a response

We received our Thanksgiving turkey today and it is a very sad sight indeed. It has not been properly plucked and there are hundreds of broken feathers remaining in the skin of the turkey. When you run your hand along the skin you feel hard bumps - unlike any raw turkey or chicken I have ever touched (and I am an experienced cook who roasts poultry most weeks). Pipers keeps telling me that they expect "pigment" to be there because it is a heritage breed - however all I can say is in over ten years of cooking a heritage bronze turkey every year I have never received one like this. There are hundreds of HARD feather follicles with feathers remaining inside and it will take us at least 4 hours to properly finish preparing this turkey.

I’ve been ordering meat boxes from Pipers Farm for a long time, but my latest experience (Order No. PFS440953) has completely put me off ever buying from them again. My delivery was due yesterday with DPD, but when I checked the tracking link, I saw it had been delivered to the wrong house. Hours later I managed to track it down, only to find that the person at that address had passed it on to someone else, and eventually the box was brought back to me late in the evening. By then, despite being unopened, all of the meat was completely defrosted. The next day I called Pipers Farm to explain and request a refund, but was told that wasn’t possible because I had “received my box in the end.” To make matters worse, the staff member even suggested that I simply refreeze the meat — advice that anyone dealing with food should know is unsafe and irresponsible. This was a large order I had planned to freeze and use over time, and now it’s unusable. Regardless of whether DPD was at fault, Pipers Farm chose the courier and should stand behind their products and their customers. Instead, they refused to take responsibility and offered dangerously bad food safety advice. I can no longer recommend Pipers Farm to anyone. Poor service, no accountability, and a shocking disregard for customer safety.

Absolutely disgusted by the shoddy level of customer service I've recived this time round on my order. An error on the Piper's Farm website meant that they'd automatically allocated a different date for delivery, meaning that the food wasn't here for my special celebration lunch. My order confirmation even said 'Delivery Date:' but with a blank space and no date on it. I emailed them well before the delivery date which they seemed to have randomly decided for me, and said I'd need to cancel the order as I won't need the food or be in to take stock of it, but Piper's Farm have repeatedly ignored my emails and just tried to pass the buck. This is my fifth time ordering from them but I won't make this mistake again as the customer service is really really disappointing, and they have refused to take responsibiity for their own website error.

I was excited to place my first order with Pipers Far, a £35 basket of quality meat, including hard-to-find organ cuts. As a first-time customer, I received a promotional email offering a discount code. But when I tried to use it, it didn’t work. Only after digging through a very very long email did I find a tiny line in a tiny font at the bottom: a £75 minimum spend was required. This wasn’t made clear upfront, and as a new customer, it felt misleading. When I raised the issue, customer service was polite but dismissive. No goodwill gesture, no apology, just a vague note that my feedback would be "passed to marketing." I wasn’t expecting the red carpet, but a small gesture or even genuine engagement would have gone a long way. Sadly, this left a sour taste. I want to support ethical, local food producers but trust and clarity matter. I hope they improve how they communicate with new customers.

Hi Atul, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I genuinely appreciate your feedback and understand how frustrating it can be to encounter unexpected conditions, especially as a first-time customer. We strive for clear communication, and I’m sorry that the details regarding the discount code were not more prominent. I also regret that our customer service response did not meet your expectations. We aim to provide not just assistance but also a sense of connection and appreciation to all of our customers. Your input regarding how we engage with new customers is invaluable, and I assure you that it will be taken on board. I hope that you might consider giving us another chance in the future. Hi Steven, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am disappointed that we weren't able to be worthy of 5 stars! I've sent you an email as I cannot see that we have had any correspondence with you, if you could send us across some additional information then hopefully we can get to the bottom of this for you. Didn't deliver on day that I'd booked. Or the next day. Or the day after that. Didn't communicate the delays at all. Failed to reply to my two emails seeking an update. Only apologised for the missed delivery when I raised this with them after the package was finally delivered. This is the second time I have had this problem with Pipers.

It’s disappointing to know that we let you down not just once, but twice, and I completely understand how frustrating that must be. Communication is key, and I apologise for the lack of updates regarding your order. Our goose was delivered on the wrong day and was left on the edge of the road not at our house. I raised these issues with Pipers Farm and their response has implied both issues are my fault. Mistakes happen but the lack of an appropriate response means that I cannot trust them to deliver and will not be ordering again.

Delivery failure... again. Ordered a Christmas delivery as a gift for friends. Ordered one month ahead. No delivery on the day I'd chosen. No delivery the following day. No delivery the day after that. No contact from Pipers to say there would be a delay or to advise when the package would arrive - until an email from the delivery company announcing the imminent delivery - four days late. When I responded to a Pipers Farm Facebook post about despatching Christmas orders, I got no response, then a day later - when I posted again about still not getting a delivery or delivery advice - I got a response saying the package was out for delivery that morning (I'd already been told by the courier company at that stage). No explanation for the delay. No apology. This is the second Pipers gift delivery that has had botched delivery. The other one also arrived days late. The product can be as amazing as anything, but if it is let down by poor service and totally unreliable delivery - then it is all for nought. It is embarrassing to ask friends or family to wait in for a package.... and nothing arrives.

We placed our Christmas order in early November, all products ordered were shown as being in stock, sadly when our order was delivered two of the products were not as ordered. One item was missing completely and one was substituted, we received no email in advance informing us and the missing item was not credited until I raised the matter with Piper's. We are local to Piper’s and try to support such businesses, regretfully on this occasion Piper’s fell short of the standard we would expect.

I won't be ordering from Pipers Farm again...I ordered a 4.5kg Cockerel for christmas day and a 3.8kg cockerel arrived...When i phoned them to discuss they reluctantly apologised and refunded £8! That's fantastic, thanks Pipers! What good is £8 going to do on Christmas Day! Had they told us they would be exchanging for a smaller bird then we would have ordered elsewhere! Totally unacceptable Pipers!

Delivery was a day late my pigs in blankets were fully defrosted and a gammon joint had started to defrost I called them up and they told me it is totally safe to refreeze these items I have been in catering for years and know this not to be true they were not up for discussion just that it is safe to refreeze meat that has already been frozen an absolute joke .What a waste of my money as I now need to replace the items

Dear Rhonda, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I sincerely apologise for the difficulties you faced with your order and the concerns regarding food safety. Your knowledge from years in catering certainly brings a valid perspective to the situation, we can assure you that you can re-freeze our meat if kept chilled during it's time after defrosting partly because of the incredibly high standards of cleanliness we adhere to during all stages of preparation. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us refine our processes and customer service. It’s our goal to ensure that every customer feels confident in their purchases. I received very short-dated ambient items. I was fobbed off and told that it's because they work with artisan producers. I've ordered from plenty of similar companies in the past, and never had this issue. I would not order from them again.

Absolutely hopeless in terms of delivery. You wait all day for a delivery to be told late in the day it'll be the next day. Dealing with Pipers Farm is simply not worth the stress and effort that's entailed in organising ones life around it's poor delivery practices.
