Regarding this order, we contacted you on the day of delivery, to advise DPD were expecting delays with your parcel, and as they were unable to resolve the issue, we issued a full refund and provided a complimentary gift card as an apology. Unfortunately it’s the end of customer service. I’m left with £100 bill for meat that arrived late and is no good to me thanks to DPD tried to get help from you but unfortunately you would rather lose my custom. Very sad.

Dear Wannie, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience with Pipers Farm, and I am sorry that you were disappointed with the service provided by our courier, DPD. As I explained on the phone, you had chosen 'Standard Delivery' for your order, therefore DPD will deliver any time from 8am to 7pm on your selected day. Unfortunately DPD cannot guarantee the exact time of the delivery, or promise to deliver within a specific timeframe for the customer. I can see that you received this particular parcel at 12:33pm on your selected day. Please note, we do have the option for 'Express Delivery' (8am to 12pm) which would have been a better option if you required the parcel to be delivered within the morning. At Pipers Farm, we strive to provide exceptional customer service, and I am sorry that you felt that the team were unable to help on this occasion. As the parcel was out for delivery, we were unable to make any changes to the delivery time. We truly value your custom and it saddens us to hear that you feel we have let you down. Huge expensive disappointment! I bought the goose for us to celebrate our grandsons first Christmas dinner. My son is a chef, he was cooking Christmas dinner he owns his own restaurants and is in the Michelin guide. So he knows what he is doing. The goose was an utter disaster, so little meat so much fat. My son was furious when he found out what I paid, about £111 and received about £10 back because of its weight. It only had to feed four adults plus an eleven month old baby boy with a healthy appetite. I bought the next size up from the one recommended for 4 people so we might have some left overs for Boxing Day. There was hardly any meat at all, we had a tiny bit of breast each plus a little piece of leg on Christmas Day and that was it. I have had goose many times at Christmas, it’s one of my favourites but never again will I buy it from Pipers. Huge expensive disappointment! I feel really gutted, what a huge expense for so little. I would have been better off buying a couple of ducks at Tescos!

Goose was very packed and kept cool with insulation. Delivery was on time. Unfortunately the goose was a negative experience. Giblets and goose fat was contained in a bag contributing to the weight of the goose. It was extremely fatty. After draining during cooking, the remainder goose meat was insufficient.

Sadly a very poor experience for me as a first time customer. I paid for a beef topside in the 1.4 to 1.9kg range and specifically asked for a 1.9kg cut (or as close as possible) as I was feeding a large gathering. When the beef arrived it was 1.48kg. I’m very sad this happened as it ruined my event and also I really wanted it to be a good experience to spread the word and for continued business, as me and my family believe in grass fed meat eating.

I was told that my order could not be delivered. On tryingt o re-arrange a delivery was told it ocul dnot be done so in time to fulfil my entertainment needs which I had planned. As such I requrested to cancel the order. I was pretty dissaopinted.

I have defrosted-(in the fridge) -a dover sole and a hake fillet - the sole stunk to high heaven and the hake ….if I get fish from the wet counter it doesn’t smell like those 2 items - I have hand caught scallops to come but I’m worried that I can’t eat them either

The package was delivered to the wrong address. My parcels are sometimes delivered there so the occupier has my contact details. By the time they came back, contacted me and I was able to pick it up it had defrosted. I emailed about this but no response. It was also left on the (wrong) front doorstep, I had specifically asked that this should not be done as packages left like that are routinely stolen. The product itself is good but this delivery issue which resulted in much of it being wasted will mean I am unlikely to order again.

19 so have had to cancel dinner with Friends - really annoyed on the lack of comms on a first time order of £94 delivery charge as well my god I have bee royally ripped off

Very Very disappointed. Had two excellent entrecote steaks and decided to order for a special occasion. On opening the packs, one steak was in two pieces clearly unusable for purpose, the other was almost in two pieces, not at all what you expect, especially as they arrive already frozen and in plastic within plastic so you cannot see on arrival otherwise I would have rejected them. Spoiled a special dinner.

Almost ruined Xmas, courier changed my delivery date with no notice and pipers was ignoring my calls , been with this company for several years , will definitely go to different company in future.

Very poor customer care regarding our xmas Turkey. No contact about lack of delivery. Had to purchase additional bird to cater for our guests. Eventually arrived 2 days late with no prior notification, too late to use at Xmas. When contacted you after Xmas , full of apologies and promise to get back with explanation. Still waiting for this.

My order arrived 4 days before Christmas mostly defrosted - I didn't know what to do, as everyone said you shouldn't refreeze turkey etc. I tried ringing to ask for advice - there was no answer and message said to leave a message and they will get back to you - I did this a couple of times as no one got back to me. I also sent an email with no response. I was so worried about poisoning my Christmas guests! Very poor customer service. Still not heard back from anyone!

My order was delivered 21st December and items missing. I am very disappointed, firstly because it was requested especially by my mother-in-law and secondly because it is the first time I have ordered from this company. The 1kg Beet (unbeknown to me at first because the joint arrived frozenl joint bag was punctured, by the time i realised the beef had turned dark brown in colour. Therefore for I decided not to use and binned it. I spent £132 (£42 on a 1kg beef joint) cheeees and a few other bits. Very overpriced for vacpacked products. Sent emails and made numerous phone calls (just an automated message) I will not purchase from this company again.
