“Absolutely disappointed. It took several months to get this book. Yes, some of the delay was on my approval but when finalized, it still took well over the 20 business days. The response I received is we’re a family owned business and to be patient. That i don’t mind - just be transparent so your buyer can plan accordingly. I ordered in early December and missed Christmas plus Feb birthday which i was going to repurpose the gift because of them being overloaded. I finally decided to google the CEOs email him which helped speed things up. The quality is good but took a lot of hand holding with the designer and patience on delivery. Yes, “slightly” cheaper than other premium providers but still expensive plus a lot of time needed to get to an artistic & non-duplicated result. Took several rounds with detailed feedback to explain that there duplicate photos in each round of revisions and the overall structure lacked artistic appeal. Very disappointed - was looking for a long term partner to continue to capture family milestones. Clearly not the skillset i expected for the price point.”

Hi Shea, we're sorry to hear you were so disappointed with the service. I looked up your order and see that you chose a clean design style to start with, but then commented you found it too simple when we presented the first draft. While we can design the album in any style you want (and are happy to update it based on our feedback), it can take a couple of rounds of feedback to get a clearer understanding of what appeals to you. But once we settle on something, subsequent album designs go much faster. As these are custom-made albums, if an error is found in production, it can delay shipping by a few days. Sorry about that, but making sure we don't compromise on quality is important to us. Kind regards, Sonja

“I created my best friend's wedding album with the help of PikPerfect as she wasn't happy with the one her wedding photographer provided. It was really simple to upload photos, choose design layouts and use the website to make amendments to the album. The service I received was always quick and helpful. The bride was overwhelmed with the album and how professional it looks. Thanks PikPerfect!”

“We were pleased with our wedding photo book in the end, but have some advice for those thinking about using PikPerfect and weighing up which type of album to order because we ordered a premium version for ourselves and a standard layflat copy for our parents. The premium version is definitely of a higher quality and finish, so if money is no object then go for that one. However, the price difference between the two is significant and I do not think the difference in quality is proportionate to the difference in price. In hindsight, I would have been happy with the standard layflat for ourselves which is still a really good product and finish. There are also a couple of other things to be aware of when ordering. Firstly in the FAQ section of the website it says that the designer will edit photos, including cropping, where they would be improved. We had some that obviously needed cropping and I marked those in the relevant file names so they stood out (and was happy for the designer to use their discretion to edit any others). However, when the first draft was issued, my file names had been ignored and none had been edited/cropped. I then had to crop them myself and send the images back which meant more to-ing and fro-ing with drafts than should have been necessary. It’s just something to be aware of in terms of how hands on you need to be when you’re paying for a designer to provide a service and do this for you. Secondly, when I registered with PikPerfect, I received a welcome email with a discount code of NEW25 for 25% off. The email had no small print / qualifying text and gave the impression that the discount would be taken off the order total. This is what swayed us towards choosing the premium version of the album as we thought we could bring the overall cost down. However, when we placed the order, and applied the discount, it only reduced the design service fee (which was £33, thus the discount was only £8.25 off an order total of over £400). When I complained, we were offered a slightly better deal, but still did not get 25% off the order total which is what the welcome email implies. Again, it’s just something that new customers should be aware of.”

“I was looking for a wedding album for a client on a budget (£100-£120) and found that PikPerfect offered lay flat albums within this price range. I was attracted to the offer of new customers getting up to 25% off the first album design. What I didn't realise was that this literally refers to the cost of designing of the album, something that PikPefect do by default rather than expecting the customer to upload a design. I was a little disappointed to discover that this attractive-sounding offer saved me £4.50. In terms of the design service itself, I found myself having to repeat myself numerous times and discovering that some changes had been made that I hadn't stated. One the album had arrived, I was somewhat underwhelmed by the appearance and quality of the album. Despite being printed on 370gsm paper, the pages felt thin and flimsy. It didn't look much better than standard photo books you get printed at a fraction of the cost. I have to say I was a little embarrassed giving this album to the clients. I wasn't expecting premium quality at this price bracket, but I've bought far superior albums before for only slightly more money. I won't be ordering a wedding album from PikPefect again. Perhaps a cheap photo book, but nothing more. Regards, Ross”

Hi Ross, I'm sorry our service did not meet your expectations. The paper thickness for layflat albums is an industry standard when using real photo paper - we have printed thousands of these for couples as well as professional photographers, 99% of whom love them. If you're looking for thick cardboard pages, I would recommend ordering a flushmount album the next time. Hope that helps. Kind regards, Nick

“My wife and I ordered our wedding album through pikperfect and we couldn't be happier, both with the process and the end result. Uploading pictures to the pikperfect website was easy and it didn't take long for them to develop the draft album. We were immediately impressed with the design and layout. Also, making modifications to the album was an easy and straightforward process, and it didn't take long before we were happy with the "final" version. After ordering the album, we expected to wait awhile for the album to be made and then shipped to the USA, but it arrived in less than 3 weeks. On arrival, we were very happy with the quality, construction and the look of the album. Admittedly, it was more than we wanted to spend, but now we're so glad that we went with the leather cover and the high quality 370gsm paper. Overall, it was an easy process and we absolutely love our album!”

“Following our wedding on 31st Jan 2015 and coming back from honeymoon mid-feb and getting to grips with reality by beginning to mid-March we knew we needed to sort out an album or 2 for the hubby's mum's birthday in Portugal on 17th April. We had a window of 4 weeks in reality to source, create/instruct and receive them.Arrrgghh! So upon a long search of the internet and after reading a bunch of reviews we thought we'd try PikPerfect and are very happy with the product delivered within our deadline and at a very reasonable cost. The designers were excellent at understanding our requirement and giving us some great advice. Slight pitfalls were having to chase for an update a few times and uploading 400+ photos but that's just reality of an online service right....and the justification for the price.... Great price, great product in less time than anticipated!”

“The process was great, they quickly made my changes requested. The actual book was high quality. The only caveat I have is that the pictures look much better online than they do blown up large in the book. Even large high quality shots, i would recommend using them smaller than you think you should.”
