“About 3 months ago I was looking for a convenient way to improve the quality of our tab water for drinking. After doing my research I decided to go with the Osmio Zero, as it seemed to have the best and most convenient concept (a 4-stage countertop filter including reverse osmosis with a big water reservoir). When the machine arrived I was very excited, as we were trying to move away from buying bottled water/improving the nasty South London tab water for quite a while. First point to note is that Osmio seems committed to protecting the environment, given that there is no unnecessary packaging. The machine also didn’t come with a big manual but a one-pager with instructions and a QR-link to the PDF manual. This is how devices should be packaged in 2022! But this is where my excitement for the Osmio Zero stopped. Inspecting the device, I noticed that the build felt a little bit cheap. Moving parts like the lid and the comtrol wheel are quite flimsy and don’t give the impression of a premium product. This could be overlooked if the machine would produce acceptable drinking water. However, herein lies the big problem I have with the Osmio. The water it produces has a very strong distinct taste, which me and my girlfriend would describe as chemical/pastic-like. Concerned about the integrity of the machine, I contacted Osmio’s customer service, who told me that the distinct taste was normal and that my tastebuds simply needed some time to adjust. We decided to give it a try, despite our dislike of the taste, hoping that it would go away once the system was in use for a while. But this didn’t happen nor did our tastebuds “adjust”. That said, we offered a glass to everyone visiting to see their reaction, which was always the same; “the water tastes like chemicals”. After 2 months of trying to adjust to the taste we gave up and decided to return the machine. We began the return process by emptying and draining each module, as per the instructions given by the customer service, and sent it back in its original packaging. To our discontent we were told, that not only did we have to pay the £15.45 for the return shipment but that Osmio would also deduct £57.50 for the used filters from the refund. So in summation we paid £72.95 for 2 months of bad tasting water and a terrible customer experience. To everyone considering buying an Osmio Zero we strongly recommend to taste the water it produces before buying or looking for alternative products.”

“Impressive level of oversight of my order; I had ordered unnecessary additional items to sanitise my Osmio Fusion. Rather than just taking my money they reached out to me to inform me! Osmio Fusion is a fantastic unit. I have been able to give up my 3ltr a day fizzy drink habit thanks to the dispensed water being much more palatable now, saving me a small fortune! The instant hot water has helped me reduce my energy usage.”

“I've had my Osmio Zero Reverse Osmosis System for a couple of years and bought a few replacement filters and I keep expecting the service, or products, to fail me but they never do - it's a bit disconcerting. This batch of filters arrived the day after I ordered them...it's all just too good to be true, surely?!”

“The market for domestic water treatment is difficult to understand, to say the least. I searched the web and read articles and sales literature until I was well and truly confused. Then I called tech support at Osmio, not the first call to a tech department I made but it was the last. I spoke to a chap called Mark who was very helpful and knowledgeable. He asked me a lot of questions regarding what I wanted to achieve and then went away and did his calculations and then within a day or so he sent me a detailed email outlining what Osmio could supply to achieve my aims. When the new heating system was installed I ordered most of the system Mark suggested. I had considered reverse osmosis but I decided to see how I fared without it to start with. After installation the change was immediate. Gone was the rather strong smell and the rather unpleasant, to me, taste. We also noticed a more "soap sudsy" bath and no lime scale rim after our baths. I could go on about what the filtration does and how it does it but I'll leave that to Osmio. We are very pleased. How could Osmio improve? Well, two of the filters we almost identical so confusing them might be an issue for some. Happily, when shaken the sound was very different from each so as long as you remember which box you took it out of ....! A label on each would be helpful. Also, the documentation, states how long one can expect each cartridge to last but the goes on to say subject to local water conditions and usage. It would be very helpful if Osmio could provide further guidance to determine when a particular cartridge needs replacing. How they could do that heaven knows. Maybe by area, to begin with, i.e Kent is a very hard water area so your filter may not last quite as long then give a rough guide to how long etc These are minor points, as I said earlier we are very happy with our purchase and the resulting improvement in the water quality we now enjoy, not to mention our new combi boiler which is now safely protected from the effects of the Kentish hard water.”

“I needed replacement o-rings for a 3-way tap. Had a very helpful dialogue by phone and email and was sent a video of how to dismantle the tap for the replacement. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it would have been nice to get a sachet of silicone grease with the o-rings - now that would be perfection!”
