I would put minus stars if i could! I booked them to come on a Tuesday and they didn't show, i emailed them and re-booked for Thursday and again they didn't show. My dad even took a day off work to wait for them in case there were any issues with where they were left but we were left with nothing but disappointment. I have sent them one more email to see if they will come to collect but i have seriously lost faith!

Order Number: 5822221 This order was sent to you on Monday 30th December 2019. I have had NO conformation that you have received the device and there has been NO transfer made into my account. It is now the 6th January 2020 and I have still not had a response from your company. Please call me as I have emailed your company. If I do not hear from you by the end of business hours today you will leave me with no other alternative but to contact the police and report your company to trade and standards. DO THE RIGHT THING... I have sent you my device in all good faith. This company is deceitful and NOT trustworthy!

I ordered a phone for my 10 year old for Xmas. When he opened it on Xmas day the phone was locked despite me ordering an unlocked phone. He was gutted and couldn't understand why his gift from Father Xmas didnt work. I sent it back on the 27th with the label emailed to me asking for a replacement to be sent as a priority given the circumstances. Its 3 working days later and all am I getting is automated replies form music magpie stating there is a backlog and it will be dealt with in due course. There is no way to speak to anyone or any live chat. I am deeply disappointed with the lack of customer care. My poor son is still waiting for his Xmas gift and at present I have no idea when another one will be sent. Extremely disappointed with the service and lack of personal communication

If I could leave a zero rating I would. I sent my iphone 8 to MusicMagpie in perfect condition and was told I'd get £220. When it arrived I was sent a revised offer of £60 saying there was a crack in the screen. I tried to call the number on the email to start a complaint - this number has been disconnected and you can no longer call MusicMagpie. So, I started an online chat, which disconnected half way through so I had to start again. I was emailed some incredibly low res images of damage to an iPhone and was told that the packaging that the phone was sent in was not damaged (MusicMagpie don't have images of the packaging so I'm expected to take their word for it that the phone wasn't damaged in the post) so that the fault lay with me as I didn't take photos of the item before I posted it (MusicMagpie do not tell you this in the packaging instructions they send through). I am told the fault lies with me and there is nothing they can/will do to escalate my complaint. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they're an absolute joke!

AVOID AVOID AVOID shocking company I have returned a £160 item and I have proof it has been delivered and they refuse to refund me because I didn’t get a postage receipt because it was collected from my work address! They have admitted they made a mistake in generating two return labels but still refuse to accept they have received my item. DO NOT USE THEM

Sent in an IPhone X and was quoted £327. Got an email saying something was up with a speaker and offered £90. I immediately declined and got quotes of around £40 to ‘fix’ the speaker. (It wasn’t damaged anyway.) Went to a local small business who did their own tests and I accepted £290. I wouldn’t use Music Magpie again to sell or buy now. Customer services are disinterested in any issue and they don’t honour on site promotions. Was supposed to get 10% more with apple product sale, but voucher expired. It was still advertised on the website!

This is the second time we have been messed around by music magpie!! I sent them my phone back 3 times, everytime something else wrong, just trying it on to get the price down from £160 to £25. Sold it with another company and straight away. The phone was in great condition!!!

Sent an iPhone with a very small/light crack on the screen but otherwise excellent condition and they offered a lower price (due to the crack only) which I declined. They returned the phone and now it doesn’t even turn on. I’ve contacted them but they say it was broken on arrival (even though I have an iCloud update and proof of postage all on the same day). They have since fobbed me off with lies to try and make me go away. Stay well away from this company. They damage your property then deny and ultimately ignore you!!!

Sent 2 items separately, a MacBook Air and an iPhone 7, both in excellent condition - no marks, no damage. Both were downgraded because of “water damage”. I spoke to Customer service after a very long wait for the chat who sent me pre-canned messages and refused to look into it. I therefore refused the price downgrade and items were returned to me, no damage - sold elsewhere to a far more honest company who honoured their initial quote and didn’t try to scam me. This is quite obviously a con and extremely concerning. Musicmagpie exploit this with customers, interesting that it happened with both my devices and in both cases Musicmagpie have acted dishonestly. I will be reporting to Trading Standards as well.

Had iPhone 8 Plus valued at £273. When filling out the details you are given two option 1. The phone is in good condition or 2. The phone has deep gouges and marks on it, Mine had a couple of light scratches on the screen so I opted for number one. When they received it they made me a revised offer of £81 and said the home button was faulty, the phone had been used normally until the day it was sent away, with no issues. I declined their new offer and they returned the phone as promised. I have just opened the package, switched the phone on and there is absolutely no issue with the home button. Quite baffled. Would not use again

I ordered an iPad Pro refurbished and they didn’t supply a plug to be able to charge the device up. I ask if they could send me one and was told no as they can’t PAT test the plug so they can’t send it out. Asked to speak to a manager and got an email back from customer services Saying this was a managers decision. Avoid this company they are cow boys. Mr Price

Gave them a bad review after they could combine stuff bought in the same transaction. Now they reported my review claiming they never had any transactions with me.

Very poor customer service Very poor customer service. My parcel got stuck with hermes for almost 3 weeks. I have raised with both hermes and Magpie, no traction from any of them. Offer reduced as 14days passed and the fact that magpie site changed the model of the phone (recorded screen available) and didn't accept any liability even if both delivery escalation and their website were in their control. I'll never use them

Sent them some games and videos, I verified my bank details with them like they ask, as soon as I did they claim 2 of my items the art work was damaged and wouldn't be paying me, and they don't even return your stuff. This review is from a couple of years ago as they report and delete negative reviews as they know they're scam artists!

Sent iPhone 7 to them with a quote of £140. They offered me £85 as they said it had deep scratches on the front. It did not. Asked for phone to be returned and have just received £125 from another online company. Should have gone with them in the first place Won't bother with MusicMagpie again.

Appalling, never again. On the face of it, fine until you have a warranty claim. These guys are crooks and/or their stock keeping accuracy is woeful and they’re blindly unrepentant. I also now understand their refurbishments do not usually use OEM parts, or even good quality substitutes. Hence my need for a warranty claim after 11 months. The two iPhone7’s they sold me for a cool £300 per phone both died simultaneously for no apparent reason (screens and cases intact), but they now tell me one of them has an IMEI number which does not match their records and are using this to dodge the warranty claim. Fine if true, but it’s clearly the identical phone they sent me. This IMEI number appears nowhere on the paperwork issued with the products and so is clearly unverifiable to me and to anyone else outside the company. The perfect scam. Be warned, I suspect strongly this is not the first time they’ve pulled this stunt and I’m now down £300, or more if the next one goes! I’m complaining to Trading Standards. If nothing else, make a clear dated note of the IMEI number on any phone purchased with these guys (I hope not for your sake) or indeed anyone else as soon as it is delivered.
