Sent 2 items separately, a MacBook Air and an iPhone 7, both in excellent condition - no marks, no damage. Both were downgraded because of “water damage”. I spoke to Customer service after a very long wait for the chat who sent me pre-canned messages and refused to look into it. I therefore refused the price downgrade and items were returned to me, no damage - sold elsewhere to a far more honest company who honoured their initial quote and didn’t try to scam me.
This is quite obviously a con and extremely concerning. Musicmagpie exploit this with customers, interesting that it happened with both my devices and in both cases Musicmagpie have acted dishonestly. I will be reporting to Trading Standards as well.
