Really bad experience. I returned my iPhone within the 14 days but the phone was stuck with Royal Mail. I emailed and even advised what was happening and they told me not to worry. They then sent me a lower offer because my item was late. The irony! Following that I tried to call them from a number on their email and they’ve stopped the number. I declined the offer as I couldn’t reach them but online found a complaints email address who have said they can’t do anything once you’ve declined the offer. I’ve lost £60 on the phone by not going with somebody else simply because Music Magpie are dishonest. Absolutely nothing wrong with the phone. It’s pristine!

Scam artists beware. Take pictures of every part of your phone. I did and they still claim the phone is damaged even sent me a pic of it. But I have pictures before I sent it showing no damage at all. They give you a generic reply so next step small claims for damaging my phone

I sent my mobile phone which was without any damage to the screen, wrapped securely in thick bubble wrap and a strong cardboard box. They then contacted me to say that the initial offer was being revised to £12 (iphone6) due to damage. The only logical explanation was that the damage happened in their environment.

Sent phone in perfect working order. I had been using it on the day I sent it. Sent Double wrapped in padded envelopes . When I checked my account it said not received as stated so they couldn’t honour the original offer of £445 and made a revised offer of £130 for a perfectly working iPhone X . which they said was faulty. Disgraceful service.

Offered £130 for iPad and sent it in good working order and very securely packaged. Received email saying it was faulty and therefore they couldn’t pay or return. I asked on two occasions what the fault was and also insisted they return it. Never received a reply but it was sent back to me with the corner chipped off and the screen cracked. This is the kind of damage that would occur if it was dropped on a hard surface, not in a secure box with a load of bubble wrap around it. No wonder they don’t allow you to contact them by telephone! Don’t touch this company.

I paid for next day delivery and they sent me the wrong phone, I contacted them and it was in the return post within an hour. They said they never received it until I proved they had it via Royal Mail tracking. They have refused to refund my money still saying its not there. No phone numbers and they pick and choose whether to reply on chat depending on the issue. They lied and it was proven they lied. They still have my phone and my money.

Rubbish, scanning doesn't and fails to recognise 8/10 barcodes when entered manually.

Use anyone but this company. Absolute con artists. Customer service is abysmal. No telephone support, they've completely removed this. Order number 5558374 My Galaxy Tab S4 tablet in mint condition went missing, they'd offered me £302.75 for it. It states in their terms that if an item goes missing it's fully insured for the original amount they offered you. 17 days later it suddenly turns up, they email me to say they have it, then 20 minutes later email me again to say due to it being outside 14 days they've revised the offer down to £220. That's right, THEIR courier loses the parcel for 12 days, then when it finally does turn up, they want ME to accept £80 less than their original offer. Their customer service is like smashing your head against a brick wall, you can only deal with them via email or online chat, they take between 3 and 5 minutes to reply each and every time you type something to them, they don't give you any idea what they're doing, they don't ask you to wait a moment whilst they check the details, nothing, it just goes completely silent. If you do complain on here, don't expect any kind of response other than them telling you the same awful customer service team will be in touch, all they'll do is keep you waiting whilst they cut and paste sections from their terms and conditions. Seriously, just use ebay or facebook marketplace, you'll get more and you won't have to deal with MusicMagpie and their awful staff.

DO NOT SELL MOBILES TO MUSIC MAGPIE Decided to sell my phone due to getting an Upgrade. Went onto Music Magpie and entered details of phone in, and that it was good condition. Offer popped up £77.10. Accepted it and was sent a barcode to get scanned at post office. Packaged it up, two lots of bubble wrap (round the phone, put it in original box and wrapped the box in more bubble wrap, then in brown paper). Took it to post office, got barcode scanned, label was printed, sent it off. A few days later I got an email stating it wasn’t in the condition I said it was in and their revised offer was now £49,68. I subsequently emailed and asked that they send me a photo of my damaged phone as I had taken a picture of it before it left my hands. They sent me three pictures of a damaged phone, with an IMEI sticker next to it. I contacted my phone provider who sent me the IMEI Number from my phone as they keep records. This matched the sticker next to the phone they were saying was mine. I emailed again and told them that I knew it definitely wasn’t my phone and that they had in effect stolen my phone and replaced it with another one and were trying to con me. I told them I had filed a report at the Police Station and that this matter will now be dealt with by them on my behalf. I asked for the Phone to be returned to me as soon as possible so I could take it to the Police upon receipt. I got the phone this morning (4 Sept 2019) and felt sick as I opened the parcel, wondering what I was going to find. In the box was MY Phone - no damage, nothing. Why would they do that? I’ll tell you why, because they think if they show you some damage you will accept their lower offer. Well I’m happy to say I saw through their scam and I now have my Phone and all the evidence I need to kick their sorry asses. Under no circumstances sell your Mobile Phones to these Con Artists.

DO NOT SELL YOUR MOBILE TO THEM I saw they had positive reviews and thought I'd use them, but I didn't realise the negative reviews all say the same thing that I want to say. I was quoted £135 for my iPhone 7 - it was perfect. I always protect my phone and there was not a scratch on it. I received an email to say screen cracked offer now £25. I had packaged it in an iPhone box plus wrapping. I have declined the offer and requested it back - no doubt it will now have a cracked screen. So many reviews saying the same thing - don't risk it.

I sent my Samsung S8 to Music Magpie who offered me £166 for the phone. When they received it they said the SIM tray was cracked and so would only give me £33. They value a SIM tray and fitting it at £133. A SIM tray on eBay cost about £1. Please read all the reviews and the Warning on Martin Lewis site about this company as they seem to have a reputation for reducing the value of phones for a variety of reasons that don't make sense.

I bought an Iphone SE from music magpie, this phone stopped working after about 4 weeks it wasn't fixed or refunded by music magpie so I took it apart to see it had been refurbished to a very low standard (missing screws had rust and corrosion). This is my second poor experience with music magpie DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Giving one star as isn’t possible to give zero. Sent two fully functioning, close to new condition iPhones to Music Magpie after receiving very favourable offers for them. After a few days got a message slashing the offers on both because they were apparently faulty/damaged. Rejected the offers and had the phones sent back to me. Used O2 Recycle instead and got full price for the phones because they were not damaged. Do not use this company.

Poor service, many mistakes, bought a tablet with charger, back of the tablet was faded and keyboard wet, but after cleaning up worked but very slow functioning so returned as was not fit for the purpose. Received an email saying my phone, yes phone, could not be accepted and was going to be returned to me, cleared up that it was not a phone I bought and returned and was sent a picture of the faded back of the tablet how I received it originally. Was returned without charger and no charge so no idea if it still functions, so emailed again, and said one would be sent to me. Nothing for a week and a bit so emailed again so get an update, apparently have ran out and did not tell me now offering me a £15 refund for a £25 charger. Outraged will never be using this company again and advise anyone else against it.

BEWARE OF THE 12 MONTH WARRANTY UPDATE: Music magpie have sent me an email asking if I am happy with the outcome of the conversation that I had over the phone yesterday. There was no conversation. Music Magpie does not care about its customers. And their “excellent rating” they have on all these fancy websites is false. 90% of their 5 star reviews are from people offloading their rubbish and they get given a few quid for it. They prey on vulnerable people. MUSIC MAGPIE SELLS FOREIGN PHONES. IF YOU PURCHASE A MOBILE FROM THEM NOT ALL PHONE SECURITY FEATURES MAY BE AVAILABLE DUE TO NON UK IMEI SERIAL NUMBERS. MUSIC MAGPIE DO NOT HONOUR THEIR 12 MONTH WARRANTY!! When me and my wife first ordered an iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge we were more than happy. We paid a fair price and had no problems until recently. About 2 months ago, my phone (s7) started to randomly crash and restart but it was not frequent enough to cause concern. Over about a month It became more frequent to the point were it never made it to the home screen without rebooting itself. I sent the phone back to music magpie and they said in an email this morning that they were unable to repair the phone due to “accidental damage.” And the warranty is void. My wife then called MM asking about this so called “accidental damage” and they said there was a hairline crack on the back glass. (Profile Pic) Nonsense, when I first acquired the phone the 1cm crack was there, but it wasnt on the front screen and the phone, according to their rating system was considered “good” (the worst rated) as opposed to “very good” or “pristine”. I had a rugged case ready for it to go in, you had to get it in the right light to even see the crack as the phone is black, it didn’t bother me and the phone worked fine. But now it seems they are using their “rating system” against me. There so called 12 month warranty for “peace of mind” is a scam. I don’t normally bother leaving reviews. But I feel like I am being treated unfairly. And am extremely angry. I’m not a person of lesser morals trying to get a replacement phone because I have been reckless with mine. Yet I am being treated like one. I take care of my property and could really do without having to go through all of this. I’m not in the habit of talking my personal details on the internet, I really wish I didn’t have to, I do not want sympathy but i feel it is necessary for context of the complaint. I am disabled due to my mental health, my wife is my registered carer and I am housebound. The phone was always in its case and was used for the occasional phone call, possibly a bit of mobile gaming. It barely left my coffee table. Music magpie were made of aware of this. But the lady on the phone said there was nothing they could do. Unfortunately, I have already recommended MM to my friends and family. I will not continue to do so, unless they are willing to do the right thing. I doubt they will. I doubt they even turned it on. I await a reply, but I probably won’t get one. But if I do, please don’t insult me by telling me that I damaged my phone because I did not. It will just enrage me further. It’s such a small gesture for such a huge company to honour your warranty, but the operator was adamant nothing could be done. So you took £179.99 of my money for my phone and I got 8 months out of it. Oh, and £169.99 for my wife’s phone. Hopefully it lasts the 12 month warranty for our peace of mind. I even saw my exact phone locked to my network £149.99 the other day on your website. MY MUSIC MAGPIE EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE. Thanks for nothing music magpie

Absolute scamming w*nkers Absolute scamming w*nkers. Sent back Samsung S8+ in virtually shop new condition. Not a single mark or scratch anywhere on the phone. They valued it at £160. When they received it they said it had screen burn and offered £15. The screen protector is worth more than £15 so basically they asked for the phone for free. I obviously refused the offer as even other sites offer around £50 for phones with screen burn, which you cant even see during normal operation or when the phone is off. The phone came back and someone had jabbed both sides and the top with a sharp needle or pin putting holes all along both edges. I don't know if this was a deliberate attempt to vandalise and devalue the phone as I rejected their offer, but I can't see how during normal testing you can put pin holes all around the edge of a mobile phone. I wont even use these morons again that's for sure.

Just been getting worse and worse over the last couple of years, have always ordered my phones from them. On my 6th phone I believe but it will definitely be my last. 2 orders in a row now the phones have been of poor quality. S8 Plus last year was absolutely battered and ended up returning for a refund. Ordered an iPhone 8 & a 6S on Friday for Saturday delivery as my phone had broke, Royal Mail screwed up and sent it to the wrong side of the country (not music magpies fault I know but still added to the overall unpleasant buying experience) The iPhone 8.......refurbished?!? They couldn’t even be bothered to clean it. The amount of dirt caked in the speaker grilles, the silent switch and the earpiece was disgusting. There was that much in the earpiece, the voices are muffled and distorted. The power button has lost its ‘click’ and generally feels like its not long until it fails. I called to complain as this is 2 orders in a row now and was basically told “Sorry to hear that, go on our website and request a return, thanks for calling” I will not be ordering from them again as they just don’t seem to care. This isn’t a case of “my iPhone has a little scratch on it, I want a new one for used money”. It is blatantly obvious that they don’t “refurbish” them. Now they’ll have 2 phones coming back instead of one and they’ve lost a loyal customer.

I had the phone a month and within that time the battery went from poor to having to charge it every 30 minutes- on returning the phone to be repaired or returned they informed me that as there was a scratch in the screen (a scratch ) they wouldn't repair or accept the phone that came with a 12 month warranty. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
