“As a first time buyer, with a very normal job, I was left with no choice but to opt for a more complicated mortgage solution. Luckily for me after a few google searches and throw away emails Laurel got in contact via a very friendly first call. We spoke through my situation and possible solutions before I even had any radar of the property I would be looking at. She was so encouraging and knowledgeable, but most importantly a real person who took my case as it was with both empathy and common sense, something I found normal highstreets banks failed to do making it impossible for me to even consider buying a property. After a lengthy search for properties spanning many months, Laurel never left contact, but also never made me feel pressured or rushed. She was a delight to converse with and a friendly voice in a rather daunting mission as a first time buyer. After finally finding a property I was ready to make an offer on, Laurel was both congratulative and efficient with the process and the following minefield of hoops that must be jumped through when getting a mortgage, even taking time on her days off to deal with my complete 'beginner' understandings and questions. Laurel has been nothing but professional and approachable. I can confidently say that she went above and beyond to help me and I will be grateful for that everyday I live in my new home as without her diligence and ability to put up with my slow replies / lack of knowledge, I wouldn't be moving into it. I would like to stress my review here is entirely focused on the work of Laurel and if you do reach out to Mortgage 1st, she should be the person you ask to help you! (I'm sure they're all overly but she is the one who dealt with my request). Thank you Laurel! “As a first time buyer in a worrying economic climate I was immediately put at ease talking to Sophie at mortgage first, She clearly explained my options what was likley to happen and how the process would work. All explanations of fees where immediately explained. Sophie and Amy where in continous communication through the whole application process and where amazing I genuinely don't think it would have been possible for me to navigate whilst juggling work and stress without their help and advice. I now have the keys to my first home with my wife and I can honestly say I would have felt the service we received was worth double what we paid, would highly recommend !”

“I was stuck with an interest only mortgage for the last 12 years after divorce and ex husbands name couldn't be removed due to financial advisors telling me on paper I couldn't afford to remortgage , was reccomended to contact Jonathan Saint by a friend after becoming desperate and stressed by the interest rates rapidly rising and the threat of losing my home , after a very indepth email about my situation to Jonathan he reassured me he would find me a solution and arranged to come to my home at a convenient time, after discussing at length the situation I was stuck in he took all of my information and the very next day had a mortgage offer in principle! Absolutely amazed by his determination and speed to prove me wrong that he could help and he most certainly has. Within a few months and just before another interest rate rise my house is now finally my home and not under threat or stress of having to sell he really is Granthams 1 and only mortgage man and I can't thank him enough .”

“Craig made the seemingly impossible, possible for us and I cannot thank him enough. Craig went above and beyond to make sure we were matched with the best lender for our circumstances and also the cheapest. We had our agreement in principle on 7th September, Craig submitted our full application on the 12th September and we had a mortgage offer the morning of 14th September. I cannot recommend Craig or Mortgage 1st enough. The time taken to reassure us and to answer any questions or concerns we had along the way was outstanding. Thank you so much, we are so excited for this next chapter of our lives and it wouldn’t have been possible without you. A special mention to Becky also who dealt with the processing of our mortgage application. Her communication has been fantastic and everything was explained so clearly.
