“I can't really say enough good things about the service I received from Oliver Page at Mortgage 1st. Prior to our house purchase I'd always thought I was okay at shopping around to get the best deal on goods and services, but when it came to the nuts and bolts of trying to find a mortgage based on our criteria I realised that I was pretty much out of my depth and needed help. From the very first call with Oliver I felt at ease. There was no 'hard sell' and no judgement on our financial situation. He took what was starting to be a really stressful process and essentially dealt with everything - using his specialist knowledge to get us a mortgage as first time buyers when we didn't fit the 'big deposit' criteria. At every step, he was available on email or phone, and when things didn't go quite to plan he just dealt with it calmly and made it seem like zero problem. Later on, when we were largely dealing with Ashleigh for day-to-day questions in the latter states of the purchase - the same level of service continued. She was excellent - really helpful by phone or email, and fast responses when needed. I simply cannot fault the service that we received from Mortgage 1st and have told lots of colleagues and friends about them - which I would do irrespective of any referral rewards, as they were quite simply excellent!”

“Our case was complicated as we are both on visas and have less than a year left on our visas, but Stephen made the entire process so much easier for us. He provided us all the professional advice needed and carried us along every step of the way. He was absolutely brilliant and always approachable. Stephen went above and beyond in regards to securing both the mortgage and the insurance at very good rates. You a a star, Stephen. 'Thank you' is not enough. Shout out to Amy who also kept us updated from the submission of the application. Overall, they are professional, knowledgeable and helpful team and I would definitely recommend them anytime.”

“The ladies in the team were fantastic, Sharlene and Harriette were great. I had numerous delays with getting stuff agreed in the lending and solicitors. They were checking and chasing things up, it ensured I got to lock in a great rate. I highly recommend using Harriette as a broker, her knowledge of the market is excellent and knows how to find the best deals, better than going to find your own.”

“I have been working with the Mortgage1st company since 2021. During that time, I was extremely pleased as they managed to find the best deal for us, which we couldn't find anywhere else. We had only a 10% deposit and hadn't obtained our citizenship yet, so we were feeling somewhat hopeless. However, Elliot diligently worked on our case and successfully secured a mortgage for us, allowing us to purchase our dream house. This year (2023), we have once again chosen to remortgage with them. Their responsiveness to our inquiries is commendable. They are remarkably helpful, kind, and friendly. “Please make sure you follow up and do your due diligence and advise the advisor what to do because mortgage1st can't do their job well enough causing monetary and other losses to the clients. Better find another advisor who work for the client and not just pass on the documents across and mint money.”

“Daniel Sykes was really good , dealt with him before and cannot fault his efforts or communications. Great at explaining everything and real asset to Mortgage 1st. Reason for 2 stars , email received chasing me for Mortgage offer fee before I even received the offer in the post , 2nd email sent chasing payment again but this time copy also sent to Ex-wife , to me this was huge GDPR breach, complained to Mortgage 1st and was fobbed off with email was somehow pulled form the system ? No other emails managed to pull her email address though ? Caused me significant pressures and anxiety for a few days. Not very professional at all and didn't really seem to care either.”

“As a first time buyer, I didn't know exactly would to expect when applying for my first mortgage. My purchase was also set to be made more stressful by the fact that the seller's had a hard date for exchange/completion, to prevent their mortgage offer expiring and the chain collapsing. Craig Stephen looked after me throughout the process and provided an exceptional service! He clearly set out what the process was from the start, was really quick in getting things done, and was really responsive and knowledgeable any time I had any queries. The whole process from first speaking to Craig and receiving my mortgage offer was seamless, required very little effort from myself, and was completed so quickly. I really would not hesitate to recommend Craig - I couldn't recommend him enough!”

“Mortgage 1st did all they could to secure the right interest rates for us and got things sorted quite quickly. But their choice of the supply chain has let down the whole process. The solicitors they recommended have been awful, meaning we have had to repeat submissions of the same paperwork more than four times at our own cost and this has been very frustrating and doesn't offer value for money. I have used Mortgage 1st since 2014 and have always been satisfied, which is why I kept going back. However, remortgaging has never been as frustrating or drawn out as it has been this time around. The whole process felt very impersonal as EVERYTHING is now done online or via apps, and I don't like that we haven't received any hard copies of paperwork. I did, however, receive good customer service from Mortgage 1st and they were very apologetic about the referral they made. The score would be higher, but I am marking our experience as a package and unfortunately, their choice of legal partners let them down this year.”

“We are first time buyers, not a clue where to start, and our mortgage adviser Megan was extremely helpful, she went above and beyond to get us what we asked for and the best deals even when small bumps in the road appeared. We always had regular updates on progress and was able to contact her at any point with really fast replies. Once completed Megan has still continued to help us with any questions and further information needed. Would highly recommend mortgage first to anyone. And will definitely be using them in the future. Thank you so much for all your amazingly hard work to help us achieve buying our first house.”
