“I was over the moon with my platform slip in sneakers but sadly one of them wasn’t finished properly the elastic wasn’t stitches in correctly and so slipped off my foot I had to have them stitched”

“Overall I loved the shoes, and would have given 5 star review, until recently I purchased a pair of shoes for a special occasion, and used a collection address offered via their carrier Evri. But it turns out this is not an option available from moda in pelle. It is not clear on website and when I didn't receive my shoes as they were returned, the customer service dept was less than helpful and said there was nothing they could do. So very dissatisfied and disappointed as no attempt was made to rectify this. On top of that it took over 10 days for shoes to get back to warehouse.”

“Hi went into brown’s, Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough to order a pair of iff white hidden instep leather trainers. - I was advised that they would be here at the store by Thursday the following week so went back the following Sunday, no trainers - most disappointed as gad travelled from Mansfield - The trainers had not been out on the delivery so they ordered them again and I. Collected them the following Sunday Quite a wait and two trips but the trainers are perfect true to fit and I luv them”

“I bought the patent croc loafers recently and whilst they look amazing they come up very small as they are so stiff. They cut my ankles so I had to buy some ankle guards. I love the mode in pelle brand and this is not my first purchase. All my other shoes and boots are so comfortable and well made. This was a disappointing purchase as I will really have to think twice before buying again, I still love the brand and hopefully this is just a one off.”

“Fast delivery, lovely items but smaller fitting than my usual size. Returns process (not free) isn’t great - website says use a tracked service and suggests Evri. I’ve had to chase both Moda in Pelle and Evri to find out where my returns are as their websites don’t update you fully. I’ve been waiting 1.5 weeks since returning and been told that only 1 item has been received back and may take up to 19th Oct before that’s refunded. Not acceptable at over £110 for each item. Sadly, daren’t shop with them again in case I have to return anything :-(”

“I purchased some lace up ankle boots. When they arrived they were faulty - the tongue in the boot was not stitched in just placed in and laced up over the unattached tongue. The online returns process was not easy or user friendly. I resorted to Twitter. I received a response a couple of days later asking for photographs which I sent. They said they would pay for return postage upto maximum of £7 if I wanted to insure the parcel, insurance costs were at my own cost. & I was to send proof of postage receipt to receive the reimbursement of postage costs. Note: most parcels are only insured upto £50. As the boots were much more than this I paid for the insurance. I received reimbursement for the postage around 5 days after I provided proof of postage. & Another week till I received my refund. The length of time to receive a refund was around 2 week in total so 7-10 working days (ish) which is kind of average and not really a problem. But the absolute farce it was to actually sort the return out, no online return page, account section or portal really isn't good enough. Most people shop online now & returning an item that is faulty or doesn't fit should be simple. - not stressful. I still like MIP footwear and will buy from MIP again, but I'll use a 3rd party retailer rather than direct as the return process is easier.”

“I was not impressed with my last order. I ordered some trainers, which I thought were leather. I realised that they were not and cancelled the order immediately. They were still sent out to me. Not impressed.”

“Lovely sandals but rather on the small side. Returned on 18th August but didn't receive an email confirming my refund until 4 weeks later! Need to speed this up MIP! Otherwise lovely company and great shoes.”

“Easy to order and quick delivery but had to chase them to refund my return which took about 3 weeks and returns aren’t free and encouraged to do registered/signed for post which is about £3.50. Shame because I do always like the look of their shoes”

“Quality is really good my only problem is the return costs! The trainers were too small I ordered a 5, I take a 4.5 in trainers, the 5 was still too small. Won't be ordering shoes again, which us a great pity”

“First order did not arrive, despite paying for next day delivery, I was still waiting for my parcel two weeks later. I eventually got a refund and reordered the items, which did arrive in a timely fashion. Customer service was slow, and a little unfriendly, though adequate. One of the pairs of shoes were not for me, but returns are costly through the post, so not worth it as the shoes were under £30 in the sale, and there appear to be no branches in inner London for a store return. Overall, their products are good, but their customer service, courier choice, and returns policy need improving.”
