Sent my phone off in perfect working order in its original box. Received an email to say there’s a problem with the camera and black dots appearing when pointed at a white screen!?!? Madness there was nothing wrong with it I was using it up until the day I sent it off! Reduced my offer from £160 to just £66. Now fighting to get my phone back but god knows if that will happen or what state it will be returned to me in. To say I’m less than impressed is an understatement!

Good afternoon, Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the decision made regarding your device. Every device that we receive is thoroughly checked by our technicians, if it doesn't meet our grading criteria the price, we can offer you a lower price. Unfortunately, your device was found to have a faulty camera due to black marks within the camera lens. These tend to appear as faint black ink marks when holding the camera against a white background. They appear prominent on a white background than they do against a colourful background. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact a member of our customer service team on 0345 872 3000 or alternatively you can email customerservices@mazumamobile.com Kind regards Mazuma

I was quoted £105 for an x box one x which was in fine working order before it left my house. I was even playing on it the night before and cleared all the information off it ready to sell. Ive not had an issue with the x box in all the time I have had it as I look after my things and the only reason I was selling it was because I have upgraded. Mazuma are telling me that when they tested it there was a HDMI fault and they could only offer me £12.50 for it!!! If there is a fault with it then its the fault of Mazuma and how they've handed my x box upon receipt. I am not going to be insulted by being offered £12.50 for it. AVOID SELLING OR USING MAZUMA as they obviously are trying to make a fool out of people.

Good afternoon, thank you for your review, We are sorry to hear of your experience with Mazuma, I have checked your order and can see this was amended based on a loose HDMI port. When our technician tested the device the screen came on however, if the device was moved, the connection cut out due to the loose port. Our technicians have to ensure all functions of the device function correctly, if they don't then we have to amend the price based on this. Two cables were tested on your device before a decision was made. I can see you have rejected and this will be returned back to your free of charge. Kind regards Mazuma

Complete con! quoted £140 for a perfectly working iPhone 8 in great condition on 02. Claim they send payment on the day they receive your phone, paid £8 recorded delivery saw they received my iPhone. 7 working days passed with no sign of any email or payment, I decided to send them an email asking for them to look into this.. 2 more days passed with no response. Called today, first thing they asked for was my order details off an email.. which was never received/or sent. Asked for them to find my details through email address/name/address etc for her to tell me that the phones been rejected at £140 and they’ll only be offer £70! Requested that my phones returned to me ASAP to be told they will dispatch it in 5 days and to expect it to be with me in a couple weeks!! (bearing in mind they’ve already held onto it for over 9 days!) Absolutely appalling. Con you into sending the phone to them by offering a reasonable price to slash it in half after you going through the hassle of paying to send it to them. Asked why no ones been in contact or responded to my email to hear some rubbish about the email address has been entered wrong. Wanted to have something in writing that they’ll be returning my phone back to me, to be told she couldn’t resend any emails or put anything in writing to confirm rejection! Somehow I won’t be surprised if my phone doesn’t make it back. I will be giving them 7 days for my phone to be returned in the condition it was sent or I will be taking this further with legal action ( luckily I have photo evidence of the condition it was sent in) All I can say is AVOID AVOID AVOID! Sell privately to be safe.

Good morning Amelia, Good morning Amelia, Thank you for your review, We are really sorry to hear about your experience with us, I have checked your order and can see this was amended due to a delaminated rear fixed glass. This is where the layers on the back of the device separate. Every device that we receive is thoroughly checked by our technicians, if it doesn't meet our grading criteria the price, the offer has to be amended to reflect the correct grade. I can see that your email address was incorrect which would mean that no emails would reach you. We can only email the address entered when you create the order. This has now been updated and any correspondence from now on will be sent to you. I can see your order arrived with us on the 25th and the amendment was responded to on the 1st. This has now been rejected and will be returned back to you within 3-5 working days. We will notify you once it leaves our building, Kind regards Mazuma

I sent Mazuma my 2 year old Galaxy S9 plus which was in pristine condition, I was raised to look after expensive things. Mazuma offered me £190 which I was more than happy with. I sent the phone off on receipt of their postage bag. A few days later I received an email stating that my phone had "screen burn" and they would now only offer £60. I called customer services and was told that, yes my device had screen burn which is very common on my device. Miraculously in the 2 minutes I had been speaking to the advisor my device had been reviewed and I could now be offered £80 plus a travel bag with charging accessories as it could only be used for spares. Obviously I asked for the phone back. The phone had been kept in a proper case with a good quality glass screen protector and was in immaculate condition. I am not a heavy user, mainly messages and emails etc. I know these models are prone to screen burn, hence I had checked for any burn using an app designed for screen testing. I found no issues with the screen what so ever. On receiving the phone after 7 days, surprise surprise it had screen burn and I don't just mean faint or small, this was blatantly obvious!! Obviously I have no way to prove my device had been deliberately damaged, but that is my belief. I used a screen burn correction app and managed to remove the burn within 20 minutes! I then sold my device to another company which has a presence on the high street for £200. This is my experience of Mazuma, please take what you wish from it.

Good morning, Thank you for your review, We are sorry to hear of your experience with us, Good morning, Thank you for your review, Screen burn appears within the LCD/OLED layer of the device (this is the pixel layer underneath the glass on the front). This can come in two different forms an imprint or a glow. The most common imprint we tend to see if of the keyboard as this is the most common function used on a mobile phone. It can also come in the form of a red glow which appears around the edges of the screen. Screen burn is where the pixels create a ghost like imprint that remains even after the on-screen content has changed or moved. This is mainly visible against a white background. This can present itself in 3 different levels. If you have purchased your device within the past 24 months, you can actually send the device to Samsung to have it repaired under a warranty because of the screenburn as they are aware of how common the defect is within their devices. You can also check for this yourself by dialling *#0*# on the keypad and checking it against the blue and white background. Kind regards Mazuma

I recently sold my mobile of 2 years to Mazuma The said mobile was working perfectly with absolutely no issues. I entered all the details online and was offered £240, which was great. I sent it to them and quickly received an email stating my offer had been reduced to £25 as my phine had 'screen burn'. I didn't even know what screen burn was until I googled it! The phone, despite Mazumas comments did not have screen burn at all. I rejected the offer and I was informed the mobile would be sent back to me in 3 to 5 days. However after 2 days I received a phone call stating that the phone hadn't yet been sent back as they were going to offer more money. But also, the lady who called stated again that the phone did have screen burn and would be expensive to repair. She then offered me £80, which I accepted. I'm not in any way bragging or being clever, but I'm not broke and the money, whilst handy, won't change my life, but for some this is a lot I certainly appreciate. I accepted the offer only to close out the situation and not have the hassle of selling the phone privately. My honest and sincere advice is STAY AWAY from Mazuma. They are liars, crooks and cheats who take advantage of people who need money. This review is 100% honest and I pray people don't use this company.

Sent a pristine Galaxy S9 in. Offer £150.00. Once reviewed they claimed the phone had LCD Screen Burn and downgraded the offer to £40.00. Having Googled it appears they have tried this trick on a lot of people. Won't be using them again.

Mazuma mobile tools new my phone was worth £115. They paid me £15 and didn't send me an option to accept or decline this ridiculous offer just paid in my bank. Now to sort it out I'd have to return the money and get the package back. Never use them again.

Would leave 0 star if I could. Sent my immaculate Ps4 to mazuma with original offer of £90 to be reduced to £10 due to noisy fan and overheating. Fan is noisy but Ps4 has never overheated. Returned to me absolutely scratched and damaged. Looks purposeful and now the Ps4 is faulty and ejects discs which in 7 years owning I have never had issue. Mazuma said it hasn't happened in their care must be DPD and offered to take it back. Looks like it's been done on purpose as I rejected the offer as now the Ps4 is faulty and does not work. Absolutely ridiculous I sent into your care and it has been returned purposefully damaged and no longer working.

Would leave 0 stars if i could. I sent my Ps4 in perfect condition. They graded it and said the fan is noisy and it overheats. Fan is noisy but never had overheating issue. Asked for it back after pitiful £10 offer. Ps4 has come back severely damaged, top cover is scratched and looks purposeful, which wasn't on the report. Ps4 now ejects discs which never had issue with before in the 7 years I have owned it. Emailed manager she said it wasn't done by them, but the onus is on you I sent the Ps4 to you it has been damaged in your care and you are unwilling to do anything about it. You have purposefully damaged my property! I am livid. Never use ever again, disgraceful. Blaming DPD when it was packaged really well by them and then offering me the pitiful £20. Company clearly damages devices sent back so you have no choice but to take their offer.

Sent them 2 iPhones, iPhone 7 quoted £100 and iPhone 8 £140!! Got e-mail saying they had both been downgraded due to screen issues or white bits? They offered £50 per phone!! Called up and queried this and was told that the pixels go over time and cause white bits not visible normally. I questioned their over time theory as one is a year old!! They couldn’t answer! I e-mailed and asked for pics of my phones showing this and I got send some pics of a white screen with something circled that looked like camera flash reflection from photo being took!! Beyond livid!! After speaking to husband we were to worried to ask for phones back incase they came back faulty so we felt stuck!! We ended up feeling like we had to accept! It killed me as we work hard for our things and these phones were being sold to be able to get my teenage kids upgrade for Xmas which now we are down on cost. I know there was not a thing wrong with them!! They were well looked after, had cases and screen protectors on and not a mark on them. Feel totally conned and will not be using mazuma again! They are total scammers!! They quote for it and then downgrade and they classed the phones as faulty!! How on earth are they faulty??!!!! Scammers avoid at all cost, would if gave 0 stars if I could!

Good morning Lisa, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service you received from Mazuma. Unfortunately, our technicians confirmed a defective screen due to white mark(s) in the display which is usually only visible on a white background. These tend to appear as little white stars within the LCD, it is where the pixel has died and causes it to glow brighter than the rest of them. Due to the cost of a LCD replacement we were unable to offer you the original valuation price. Unfotunatley, with this type of defect, cases and screen protectors do not prevent this from happening as it is something the device does itself. A photo was provided to you showing the white mark down the right side of the LCD screen. We give all customers the opportunity to reject if they are unhappy with the amended price. We are sorry that you felt as though you were stuck when it came to making a decision. All devices are returned in the same condition they are sent to us in. Good afternoon Steve, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about this. We have listened back to the call that was made to your wife and we can confirm that your wife was asked whether you would be happy for her to discuss this on your behalf as you were unavailable. She stated yes. Based on this our team proceeded to discuss this further with her. The £5 was offered based on a recycling fee as the device had failed as it would not reboot which would deem this as unusable. I believe a colleague is looking into this for you to resolve this and will be in touch shortly via the email you have submitted. Kind regards Mazuma Mobile.

Good afternoon Edward, Thank you for your review. I can see your order has been flagged for a no power on fault. Devices are charged for up to 3 hours before they are classed as a no power on fault. Your device will have been on charge for this amount of time. As the device does not turn on we have amended it to reflect this being £10. As for the packaging. We are currently working hard to change the current packaging we have to be much more eco friendly. This will hopefully be rolled out by the end of the year. Kind regards Mazuma Mobile.
