Fantastic 5* service. Sent me the selling packet to send my phone to Mazuma within a couple days, they received my phone within 2 days and I received my payout the exact same day as they received the phone! Received email updates at every stage of the process as well which kept me in the loop and was very assuring. If you want a easy, hassle free and professional business to deal with then I would most definitely recommend Mazuma, and I myself will be using them again in the future!

I was quoted £215 for my phone, I was not under any illusion that Mazuma would pay this price, even though my mobile phone had just been in for repair and had a brand new casing and screen protector, and not used since. After sending my phone, I came across reviews on two independent review sites which alarmed me, people were saying that their price had been greatly reduced and they were being told their phone was scratched and cracked, they were sent photos which contradicted their own photos. Well, sure enough, the exact same happened to me, I was told there were multiple scratches on the screen and casing, I had my photos to prove it was in perfect condition. I was told that I could be sent photos of my phone, I refused and said I don’t need photos of a different phone, I want my phone back in perfect condition. It has been a complete waste of my time and I would never use this company again. I will however be taking it further if my phone is returned in any different condition than I sent it to them in.

Avoid these scammers at all costs. Sent my Nintendo Switch all in perfect condition quoted me £105. Few days later that one of the controllers was faulty so revised this offer to £15 which I quickly declined so they then offered me £20 which I quickly declined. Disgraceful company will never use again.

They offer a high price only to receive your parcel and to falsely claim that my phone is damage and offer me £60 less. This is their marketing strategy as not many people would contest and offer the price. I rang up the manager to say have you seen the photos that you claim to be damaged thinking surely this was a prank. The manager was not listening to what I was saying and repeating the words I'm sorry you feel like that. When I claimed this to her, she raised her voice and we ended the call. Awful customer service. Very unethical company.

When I looked into selling my iPhone and compared on the market for the best price, Mazuma was one of the top people that would give me the most money. This is their market strategy. When they received my excellent, no scratches, mint condition phone, they devalued this saying it had more than 5 scratches and reduced the value by £60. I contested this. They asked to see front and back images, which I sent over. They replied saying actually the marks are on the side of the phone, which I then replied with more images - and only for them to respond that my images were not clear enough. I asked to see photos of these "said" scratches and they sent me dust specs claiming that these were scratches, along with a greasy finger marks. It was quite comical, I was in my work office showing this to my colleagues how they are claiming dust and greasy marks they left on my phone as damage. I contested this again for them to circle the dust marks in the images. You can't win. They have the legal rights to deny this and most people would not contest and just accept the low value offer. After going back and forth on emails, the next day I rang up the customer service line and they said the exact same thing. They read off a script saying that they take the images with high tech cameras, use a cleaning solution round the phone etc etc, After going through all this I researched Mazuma complaints and I came across a youtuber who had the same issue. For anyone looking to do the same. I really recommend for you to save you the stress, time and money to go somewhere else. I've had iPhones all my life and never have I experienced this when selling with other retailers.

I sent back two iPhones separately as both my wife and I upgraded within a few days. In BOTH cases Mazuma claimed minor additional cosmetic problems (despite my categorising them as only good rather than pristine) and in both cases reduced their offer significantly. Their initial offer was one of the best on a comparison site, their reduced offer falls well below others out there. For this to happen in one instance I could accept but happening in both - and looking at the reviews below - I suspect that Mazuma deliberately inflate their initial offer to get you to use them, and then work on the basis that enough people cannot be bothered to reject a reduced offer once the phone is at Mazuma. Would advise everyone to be very sceptical about their initial offer and go elsewhere.

Please, learn from my lesson and avoid this dishonest company at all costs. I used compareandrecycle to look for the best price for my iPhone 13 Pro 256gb, Mazuma came top, offering me £470 (early Nov 23), the trust pilot score was good, and the first few reviews looked good....my first mistake, not researching further...so I accepted the offer, packaged my 'pristine' phone up in secure packaging and off it went. Got an email a few days later stating they'd received it and were reviewing it, got an offer back stating that it was damaged, more than 5 scratches on the casing, so their price was reduced by 15% to £400. So, I contacted them via phone and asked for photos of my phone, stated I had taken photos before I sent it and I'd like to see these scratches, the lady I spoke to on the phone was lovely and polite and said she'd get this sorted for me. A few days later the pictures arrived and wow, is this a different phone? There were absolutely loads of scratches to it, all around the lightning port, on all the buttons and what looked like fine paint splatter all over edges and sides...this was not my phone, so I sent my images back which show no damage and called them, we discussed the images on the phone, the lady (again lovely) stated that their images were 'high definition' under perfect lighting so will show up everything, I also had very clear images which show no damage to the case in any of the areas theirs showed, we discussed the image containing the lighting port at length, I even asked if she thought I was being dishonest, she said she didn't so she advised me to reject the claim, which she did and said she'd get the team to reassess and come back with another offer, later that day they increased the offer to £420, around 12% less, which I accepted, why you may ask, well… I know the photos are not of my phone, I now know this company is dishonest, after reading the abundance of reviews with the exact same story, and I'll never recommend them to anyone, but realistically what would happen if I refused again, after reading the reviews, they'd likely send back the phone, no doubt with newly acquired scratches which wouldn't be the same as the pictures they sent, how could they be, it’s not my phone they sent pictures of, but I'd have a phone that was now damaged and the resale value would be a lot less that they are offering me...I don't have the time to take them to small claims court, which I’m assuming is what their business model relies on, with the time/costs associated with that...so please, learn from my lesson and avoid this dishonest company at all costs.

AVOID!! Absolutely terrible service. I needed to sell my phone due to getting a new one but being unable to pay both contracts due to the cost of my medical needs. So firstly… The packaging they request the phones to be sent in is just a plastic bag and have no protection for the phones so I had to purchase bubble wrap before sending, this delayed the process of me getting my phone to them when I needed it to be done quickly to pay the monthly bill and in turn the remainder of the contract. Once they received it I got an email to say it had been received and 20mins later received an email to say there was multiple cosmetic imperfections, i immediately emailed back telling them I could send a video to prove the imperfections were not there prior to sending but did not receive another response till the day later even though this was only around 3pm (2 hours before they close) so the next day I sent them a video of the phone before sending with no cosmetic imperfections and they said all they could do is send me photos of the damage but I would have to wait 48 hours bear in mind that it is almost the weekend so this would’ve likely been Monday which is after the date to which I needed to pay the phone by so I said I couldn’t do that and would have to accept the lower amount but still wanted to receive the photos of the supposed “imperfections” and then they told me that since I had accepted it they were not willing to send me the photos. I think this is appalling. Been left in a situation where I have no options. Will stick with Music Magpie next time 😪

Same experience as everyone else. Sent an iphone 11 that had always been kept in a case with a screen protector and was in perfect condition. Phone was heavily wrapped in bubble wrap for postage They miraculously found more than 5 scratches and offered me considerably less than original offer. Phone call was a waste of time since they just said their procedures couldn't be faulted. Waiting for phone to be returned but if there are any scratches then I know how the got there. Don't touch this company with a barge pole.

So I sent my phone down mazuma. They offered me £20 originally because off a defective screen. When they received it they changed the offer to two pounds. I refused as it's a Galaxy s10 and sells for 140 .they then revised the offer to 5.50 yep a joke but I then refused again so today ive received my phone back from mazuma tried to plug it in to charge and the charger port has been deliberately destroyed wtf? I think its been done out off spite.ive emailed them yet guess they will deny all knowledge. So stay away from these leeches.this is a real review and my real life experience with this horrific company. I'll go to court with my complaint its criminal damage regardless of the screen being cracked they have no rights to destroy my property.im assuming they didn't want me to try elsewhere has anyone had this same experience?

Same experience as many others. They deliberately overprice the phone so that they are the 'highest bidders' to incentivise people to sell to them. Once they have your phone, they will reduce the amount they will actually pay (20% in my case) in the hope that you will just accept it rather than going through the trouble of getting it back and reselling it. Even worse, preying on people who are struggling financially knowing that they will likely accept the offer as they need the money. My phone was in pristine condition with no scratches yet their reason for amending the price was due to it having 'more than 5 scratches'... utter rubbish! Do yourself a favour and sell your phone to other more reputable companies that won't try scamming you out of money. I wish I'd listened to other reviews and changed my mind before using Mazuma Mobile. Avoid at all costs!!

Absolutely livid with this company. Was quoted £190 for my IMMACULATE CONDITION iPhone 11. Phone has been kept in a case and had a screen protector on for the whole 2 years of having it. Not a single scratch, dent, mark on it. Wrapped it up extremely well in bubble wrap, padded the box out with bubble wrap and sent it off to them. To receive an email today, knocking my offer down by £60 to £130 with the following statement: Apple iPhone 11 64GB Unlocked Your device has multiple scratches on the casing (we allow up to 5). These cosmetic imperfections mean your device has been repriced. This is complete and utter rubbish there wasn’t 1 mark on that phone never mind multiple marks. I can assure you I am going to leave negative reviews everywhere possible and report them to everyone possible. Needless to say I’ve rejected the offer and requested my iPhone be sent back to me. Any mark that it comes back with definitely weren’t on it when sent to them. Looking at other reviews being left I not the first person they’ve done this too and no doubt won’t be the last.😡
