Fault detected as present during test which was not present when device left my possession. I was denied my request for evidence that it was not damaged at your site. I was also continuously goaded my your customer service staff with very arrogant attitudes. Highly disappointed

Good afternoon Stuart, Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the decision made regarding your device. Every device that we receive is thoroughly checked by our technicians, if it doesn't meet our grading criteria the price, we offer you a lower price. Unfortunately, your device was found to have a faulty camera due to black marks within the camera lens. These tend to appear as faint black ink marks when holding the camera against a white background. They appear prominent on a white background than they do against a colourful background. As you had rejected the order, the photo couldn't be provided. A photo can only be provided at problem order stage. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact a member of our customer service team on 0345 872 3000 or alternatively you can email customerservices@mazumamobile.com Kind regards Mazuma

Sent my phone in as a trade in as they offered the best price on the market. The phone was in perfect condition as it had been in a case with a screen protector on all its life. Received an email after they had received it stating there was a problem with the phone and it was damaged. They then offered me a stupidly low price for the phone. Safe to say I rejected the offer and asked my phone back. Interested to see not only myself who has experienced this. I won't be using this company again, nor recommending them.

Good morning Philip, We are sorry to hear of your experience with us, I can see your device was found to have yellow halo within the LCD layer. This is where the pixels die within the LCD and turn yellow. This is usually found around the edge of the LCD screen where the battery and time stamp is. This manufacturing defect is common in a lot of the older models such as the 4's, 5's, 6's 7's and some of the older iPads such as the Minis, 2's, 3's and some of the Airs. Based on this we had to amend the offer as it did not match the grade you initially selected. All quotes given are subject to testing, Please allow 3-5 working days for dispatch, we will notify you via email once the item has been dispatched. If you wish to discuss this further, please contact our team at customerservices@mazumamobile.com or call us on 0345 872 3000 Kind regards Mazuma

I was offered half the value of my iphone X because of a 'black dot' on the lens, even though I have had the phone for over a year and not noticed any photo issues whatsoever. Subsequent to mentioning this in a fb review, I was contacted by other people who were also paid significantly less for the same issue. Customer services tell me its a very common issue they find that results in many phones resulting in them paying out about half. If you are looking to sell your phone you should consider this because theres a good chance you will get half the advertised amount. They also don't keep any proof of this issue, you have to take them at their word

I sent my 11 month old Apple iphone 11 in which was in absolutely pristine condition, was quoted £340 for it. It was securely collected by DPD and after three days of trying to get an update was told that there was a black mark in the camera and the revised offer was £105. I asked for photo evidence of this mark and was told that as I had rejected the offer the photo couldn’t be sent. Also had my email address wrong, so I had no updates, which is helpful. Apparently a known fault with Apple iphones – not anywhere I can find! Although this does appear in Mazuma reviews constantly –and this absolutely screams of Mazuma trying to get premium phones for minimum price. A reduction of £235 for a “mark” which is not evident on any light coloured pictures I’ve taken! God knows what condition the phone will come back in. Would absolutely not recommend.

Phone was sent in perfect working order only to have the price reduced unfairly for a fault with the camera, the phone was used the day before posting to take pictures with zero problems so not happy with the service and won’t be using again.

This is as honest as i can be. I was quoted £105 for an x box one x which was in fine working order before it left my house. I was even playing on it the night before and cleared all the information off it ready to sell. Ive not had an issue with the x box in all the time I have had it as I look after my things and the only reason I was selling it was because I have upgraded. Mazuma are telling me that when they tested it there was a HDMI fault and they could only offer me £12.50 for it!!! If there is a fault with it then its the fault of Mazuma and how they've handed my x box upon receipt. I am not going to be insulted by being offered £12.50 for it. I've since received the xbox box back (without the original packaging and HDMI cable) and have tested the alleged issues with the port. THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH THE PORT! I've pick the xbox up while switched on and turned it through 360 degrees and the display / sound remain perfect on screen and through the speakers. AVOID SELLING OR USING MAZUMA as they obviously are trying to make a fool out of people and rip them off.

Good morning Pete, Thank you for your review, We are sorry to hear of your experience. Your Xbox was flagged for having a faulty HDMI port which was tested with two HDMI cables. The port of the Xbox was loose and when the Xbox was moved the connection between the console and TV was disconnected. Based on this we reduced it for a faulty port. Based on this we would have been unable to offer the full amount as the device was not in the condition we quoted it for. If you wish to discuss this further, please contact one of our team at customerservices@mazumamobile.com Kind regards Mazuma

Sent my phone off in perfect working order in its original box. Received an email to say there’s a problem with the camera and black dots appearing when pointed at a white screen!?!? Madness there was nothing wrong with it I was using it up until the day I sent it off! Reduced my offer from £160 to just £66. Now fighting to get my phone back but god knows if that will happen or what state it will be returned to me in. To say I’m less than impressed is an understatement!

Good afternoon, thank you for your review, We are sorry to hear of your experience with Mazuma, I have checked your order and can see this was amended based on a loose HDMI port. When our technician tested the device the screen came on however, if the device was moved, the connection cut out due to the loose port. Our technicians have to ensure all functions of the device function correctly, if they don't then we have to amend the price based on this. Two cables were tested on your device before a decision was made. I can see you have rejected and this will be returned back to your free of charge. Kind regards Mazuma

Complete con! quoted £140 for a perfectly working iPhone 8 in great condition on 02. Claim they send payment on the day they receive your phone, paid £8 recorded delivery saw they received my iPhone. 7 working days passed with no sign of any email or payment, I decided to send them an email asking for them to look into this.. 2 more days passed with no response. Called today, first thing they asked for was my order details off an email.. which was never received/or sent. Asked for them to find my details through email address/name/address etc for her to tell me that the phones been rejected at £140 and they’ll only be offer £70! Requested that my phones returned to me ASAP to be told they will dispatch it in 5 days and to expect it to be with me in a couple weeks!! (bearing in mind they’ve already held onto it for over 9 days!) Absolutely appalling. Con you into sending the phone to them by offering a reasonable price to slash it in half after you going through the hassle of paying to send it to them. Asked why no ones been in contact or responded to my email to hear some rubbish about the email address has been entered wrong. Wanted to have something in writing that they’ll be returning my phone back to me, to be told she couldn’t resend any emails or put anything in writing to confirm rejection! Somehow I won’t be surprised if my phone doesn’t make it back. I will be giving them 7 days for my phone to be returned in the condition it was sent or I will be taking this further with legal action ( luckily I have photo evidence of the condition it was sent in) All I can say is AVOID AVOID AVOID! Sell privately to be safe.

Good morning Amelia, Good morning Amelia, Thank you for your review, We are really sorry to hear about your experience with us, I have checked your order and can see this was amended due to a delaminated rear fixed glass. This is where the layers on the back of the device separate. Every device that we receive is thoroughly checked by our technicians, if it doesn't meet our grading criteria the price, the offer has to be amended to reflect the correct grade. I can see that your email address was incorrect which would mean that no emails would reach you. We can only email the address entered when you create the order. This has now been updated and any correspondence from now on will be sent to you. I can see your order arrived with us on the 25th and the amendment was responded to on the 1st. This has now been rejected and will be returned back to you within 3-5 working days. We will notify you once it leaves our building, Kind regards Mazuma

I sent Mazuma my 2 year old Galaxy S9 plus which was in pristine condition, I was raised to look after expensive things. Mazuma offered me £190 which I was more than happy with. I sent the phone off on receipt of their postage bag. A few days later I received an email stating that my phone had "screen burn" and they would now only offer £60. I called customer services and was told that, yes my device had screen burn which is very common on my device. Miraculously in the 2 minutes I had been speaking to the advisor my device had been reviewed and I could now be offered £80 plus a travel bag with charging accessories as it could only be used for spares. Obviously I asked for the phone back. The phone had been kept in a proper case with a good quality glass screen protector and was in immaculate condition. I am not a heavy user, mainly messages and emails etc. I know these models are prone to screen burn, hence I had checked for any burn using an app designed for screen testing. I found no issues with the screen what so ever. On receiving the phone after 7 days, surprise surprise it had screen burn and I don't just mean faint or small, this was blatantly obvious!! Obviously I have no way to prove my device had been deliberately damaged, but that is my belief. I used a screen burn correction app and managed to remove the burn within 20 minutes! I then sold my device to another company which has a presence on the high street for £200. This is my experience of Mazuma, please take what you wish from it.

Good morning, Thank you for your review, We are sorry to hear of your experience with us, Good morning, Thank you for your review, Screen burn appears within the LCD/OLED layer of the device (this is the pixel layer underneath the glass on the front). This can come in two different forms an imprint or a glow. The most common imprint we tend to see if of the keyboard as this is the most common function used on a mobile phone. It can also come in the form of a red glow which appears around the edges of the screen. Screen burn is where the pixels create a ghost like imprint that remains even after the on-screen content has changed or moved. This is mainly visible against a white background. This can present itself in 3 different levels. If you have purchased your device within the past 24 months, you can actually send the device to Samsung to have it repaired under a warranty because of the screenburn as they are aware of how common the defect is within their devices. You can also check for this yourself by dialling *#0*# on the keypad and checking it against the blue and white background. Kind regards Mazuma

I recently sold my mobile of 2 years to Mazuma The said mobile was working perfectly with absolutely no issues. I entered all the details online and was offered £240, which was great. I sent it to them and quickly received an email stating my offer had been reduced to £25 as my phine had 'screen burn'. I didn't even know what screen burn was until I googled it! The phone, despite Mazumas comments did not have screen burn at all. I rejected the offer and I was informed the mobile would be sent back to me in 3 to 5 days. However after 2 days I received a phone call stating that the phone hadn't yet been sent back as they were going to offer more money. But also, the lady who called stated again that the phone did have screen burn and would be expensive to repair. She then offered me £80, which I accepted. I'm not in any way bragging or being clever, but I'm not broke and the money, whilst handy, won't change my life, but for some this is a lot I certainly appreciate. I accepted the offer only to close out the situation and not have the hassle of selling the phone privately. My honest and sincere advice is STAY AWAY from Mazuma. They are liars, crooks and cheats who take advantage of people who need money. This review is 100% honest and I pray people don't use this company.

Sent a pristine Galaxy S9 in. Offer £150.00. Once reviewed they claimed the phone had LCD Screen Burn and downgraded the offer to £40.00. Having Googled it appears they have tried this trick on a lot of people. Won't be using them again.

Would leave 0 star if I could. Sent my immaculate Ps4 to mazuma with original offer of £90 to be reduced to £10 due to noisy fan and overheating. Fan is noisy but Ps4 has never overheated. Returned to me absolutely scratched and damaged. Looks purposeful and now the Ps4 is faulty and ejects discs which in 7 years owning I have never had issue. Mazuma said it hasn't happened in their care must be DPD and offered to take it back. Looks like it's been done on purpose as I rejected the offer as now the Ps4 is faulty and does not work. Absolutely ridiculous I sent into your care and it has been returned purposefully damaged and no longer working.
