took over 1 week to arrive for instore collection even though the items showed instock on the website project delayed wont use again

Failed next day delivery on two occasions items not dispatched as promised and paid for Ordered on Wednesday for Thursday delivery received monday. Damages on two two of the pannelsv and on one gate split timber, not assembled in a straight line and not nailed sufficiently

Paid extra for a Saturday delivery, nothing turned up. Requested refund on a Monday, no apology offered. Will not use again

Ordered a product Sat urday 18th Feb 2017 and recieved confirmation on Mon 20th Feb advising product would be available to collect in local store from 3pm 21st Feb product didn't arrive contact head office was eventually advised a courier service would deliver the next day 22nd Feb as original product had been sent to wrong store, next day parcel hadn't arrived by 4.30pm contacted head office again product delayed at the couriers depot was advised they could delivery Friday 24th Feb either in store or to home address opted for in store again which I did collect after 1.00pm a little bit late for my fathers birthday present which was on the 22nd however the product was good.

Paid extra for next day delivery (Wednesday 15/02/17) as needed the paint before my daughters new bed arrived last Thursday - paint didn't come and had to phone your customer service the next day(Thursday 17/02/17) and they assured me that it was out on delivery and refunded me the difference between express and normal delivery - £2.50. The paint eventually arrived on the Saturday (18/02/17). Hugh amount of inconvenience as I haven't been able to paint as I've been at work since then.

I could find no way of stating it was the Ashington Branch I wanted I therefore could not ascertain that the items I wanted were in stock. I did not see any information that my order would be confirmed ready for delivery. As I wanted the timber on the Saturday I placed the order via the web site beliving wrongly I was reserving the timber I required. Your shop staff was very helpful and I was able to alter my order for timber in stock with the required adjustment in cost. However if they had not a suitable alternative the planned project would have been delayed by at least a week and if I could not get to Ashington that weekend could have been longer. It would be helpful if on your web site at the start it is clearly stated which branches collection can be made from and that the items will not necessarily be in stock and therefore you will need to allow minimum time between placing an order and the availability for collection and an e-mail will be sent advising when collection can be undertaken. This will allow customers to able to make the decision if this time lag is acceptable or they will need to ring the branch concerned to ascertain if the items are in stock or source the items required from an alternative supply.

We ordered 4 packs of plastic cladding but delivery men only brought 1 - have to wait till Thursday for the rest to come and still have to pay again for delivery( they said we could have it half price!!)

Very disappointed i could not exchange the 3 x 2ft fence posts i ordered without paying £14.99 extra postage for doing so. Do Not get it wrong when you order from this company. They will over charge you!

I've placed an order and paid for Saturday delivery, it didn't arrived on time and even when contacted customer service via them on-line form no one responded till now almost a week later... will never order from them anymore.

Disappointing to be honest. Ordered a number of hinges and door latches and paid for next day delivery. On the day of delivery I received an email to advise there was a delay and the items wouldn't be delivered for another two days. I then received an email on the day they were being delivered to say that all items are discontinued and that the order was now cancelled. I received a refund but was quite frustrating that they still had discontinued items for sale on the website. Ended up having to go to a local B&Q instead.

Ordered 10 cans of paint for next day delivery. Website said that items were in stock. A few hours after ordering, I get an email from customer services saying that they only have 7 cans in stock, and that remaining 3 would be delivered a week later. Unacceptable. I also ordered 2 cans of wood varnish oil for next day delivery. These items were marked as dispatched yesterday, and we received a delivery tracking number. However, they were not included in the delivery we received today. We have had to make several phone calls to customer services to sort out these issues. I will not use this company again.

The website promises next day delivery, which was important to me. I received an email after ordering telling me that I would not receive the goods on the following day. There was no offer to do anything at all to make amends, until I emailed back and asked for my delivery charge to be refunded. This was done, but obviously does not compensate for the extra day's delay. Plus the offer should have been made without me asking for it.

Ordered fence paint online, did not have any feedback to say when and where it would be delivered, rang web number Saturday morning, only available weekdays. Rang two branch's, staff very helpful, but could not supply what we wanted. Rang web number on the Monday morning to be informed it was delivered to local branch that afternoon. On collection again staff very helpful, but 9 litre pot not available, so had to have two 5 litre pots, which could have been supplied on the previous Saturday by the branch. Web site should have stated not in stock and queries dealt with over weekend.

This is from a store perspective ,the staff really are not very well trained and don't have a great deal of knowledge about your products they are friendly enough but as I have said lacking in knowledge.

Ordered the goods on 25 Aug and was pleased to receive confirmation on the 26 Aug that the goods had been dispatched. However, having not received the item by the 1st Sept I phoned you customer service department and after some investigation was informed that the goods had been damaged in transit. I was then assured that the item would be delivered to me on the 2nd Sept (next day delivery), no goods were received nor was any confirmation issued by your department that they were being redelivered. It is now 3rd Sept and your customer department is closed leaving me totally unaware of what is happening to my order! Not what I would call good service. Dire is the word I would use.

I ordered a gate (order # 58650) on 21 August and chose the standard size 900 x 1200 with next day delivery.It had not arrived by 24 August so I phoned up.The lady I spoke to said I hadn't chosen a size because it was made to measure,I had chosen the standard size.She said I should have had an e mail about it but said she could take the measurements again and the gate would be sent in time for the weekend.Later that day I received an email from Stacey Guidery saying 'Can I have the measurements of your order please' I e mailed them back.It's now 29 August and still no gate and I wanted to fit it this weekend.Not very impressed and very inconvenienced

My requested delivery date wasn't meet although pre-ordered by 5 days. Had to collect from delivery depot 26miles away although paid £36 for delivery. Part of shipment damaged. Little or no response from customer services regarding my complaint.

Noticed a refund had been issued - it said no note from seller. 24 hours later I received a message to say that the item had been discontinued and a refund had been issued. Poor show. Why advertise items that have been discontinued and then randomly issue a refund without explanation because you think that'll be 'OK'. Its 2016... consumers expect so much more than your mediocre note! Apart from that, I had to faff on having to re-order from another retailer [it had its benefits, I was offered free delivery - bonus!...will definitely use them again]. C'mon Maxwell's, get your act together...

The woman i spoke to at Maxwells lied about the delivery, said the delivery guys would bring the bags of compost to the back garden. I have lots of garden equipment to purchase in future, i guess Maxwells is one place i will not be shopping with.
