Absolutely love my mango, easy to ride, durable, and great fun! Have had mine over a year now and it's still working good as new! I've got a courier job and I use my mango for that to speed around town delivering food, really really good bike and I've been very pleased with my bike.

Bought a single gear bike from mango over a year ago, and it still rides as new! Highly recommended to anyone. As a student it has helped me get around with ease, and been super reliable since it doesn't have any gears. Great price, great bike..

I have for 30+ years had a road bike and wanted something..........different, Mango Bikes had the answer........ a build my own fixed wheel fun bike!!, I love it, it's, well, just fun on 2 wheels!. My bikes have always been built for me, size, colour etc and this was no different really, the hardest bit was deciding what to choose!. I was apprehensive about buying online but there was no need, when my bike arrived it was exactly what I wanted and more. If I had more room in the garage I would have a Mango for every day of the week. I would thoroughly recommend a Mango!!

My Original Single Speed is still going strong! With Gatorskin tyres it handles anything.

I love the look of the bike, and think it is very good value for money, but was disappointed by three things. Firstly, the initial setup. There were no instructions on how to set up the bike (fitting handlebars, wheels, pedals, etc). As this was my first road bike, this meant a lot of looking on the internet for advice. I really think you'd do well to put together a little intro pack, maybe some material discussing how to position handlebars. Secondly, I think the bike was poorly set up. I had some problems with the disc brakes, which (on my first ride past the end of my road) warped due to heat. I'm guessing this is because the wheels were not aligned correctly, or possibly because the brakes had not been set up correctly. Thirdly, the rear derailleur cable frayed and needed replacing. Whatever the reason, it cost me almost £100 in parts and labour. That's something I'd expect after I'd been riding for six months rather than one.

Hi Thomas, apologies for the missing instructions. We do have videos on our website too, but you should have reached out and we'd have sent the instructions again. It's not uncommon for disc brakes to require a bit of bedding in, but the rotors can easily be trued with your bare hands. A local bike shop might be able to use tools to straighten to a higher degree of accuracy, but the solution they provide is often nothing you can't do yourself :) Your feedback on positioning the bars is much appreciated, and we will see to update this.

I bought a custom single speed in January and have been cycling everyday since. Absolutely love my bike and couldn't be happier. More colours would be welcome for the custom bikes. Maybe a small maintenance guide as well.

Absolute great all round city bike went together really easily as expected. The amount of customisation is outstanding and so is the customer service. I ordered out of stock handle bars so they sent me the bike with normal bars (which I get to keep) instead of waiting until the next batch came in. The only issue I could find was with the paint job. There Is a couple of runs on my frame nothing major but that could still be improved if I was to buy another one in the future. Saying that my bike is a year old now and the company has since released lots of new styles with new paint colours. I'm sure they have ironed out any creases. Thanks mango for awesome customer service. Instagram account is cool. Good job guys 4.7/5.

I wanted a road bike to get back into cycling without spending a fortune, I saw the point R and loved the design and detail of it and it came within my price allowance. Ultimately I up ended spending more money to get the 105 spec model and used the interest free finance option. Simple and straightforward. I liked the fact that they are built in the UK and I actually picked mine up from their premises (which they now have a showroom). Love riding the bike, just makes you want to keep going.

I bought one of their bikes second-hand and it's great. I only ordered a rear brake from Mango but communication was awful and delivery incredibly slow. They did however take the opportunity to bombard me with sales emails and continue to do so to this day, despite being asked to be removed from their mailing list. My experience is that they're more interested in the hard-sell rather than looking after their customers.

Good points: 1. The bike looks cool, very cool 2. Putting the bike together was fairly easy 3. The bike is fairly light for its price 4. Shipping was very affordable Bad points: 1. The website was not very user friendly when the time to pay came (if my username at mangobikes and my PayPal username are the same, then mangobikes goes crazy) 2. The website was not optimised for mobile 3. I would've liked to know that I should buy grease (it's the first time I put a bike together on my own) 4. One of the tools supplied didn't fit (the wrench) 5. The rear derailleur wasn't properly set (not correctly indexed and a bit off in general) 6. One side of the cranks came with the "chasewood" sticker completely out of place and it looks cheap 7. After purchasing the bike, I received an email saying that my order had been processed and that I would receive further updates on the progress of my order. That never happened. In general, I would buy from mango again. But I would have to take into account that I might need some expert hands when setting it up (especially for the derailleur).

Hello there. Love the bike. One very small thing: got a flat pretty quickly despite ordering the gator tired (or whatever they're called). On replacing inner tube found some metal shavings inside the rim of the wheel which must have been result of machine tooling the rim. Anyway, I removed the shavings through the tire valve hole in the rim and all good. MJ PS your email to me is addressed Dear Jan-Bert Van Den Berg". I am Michael Jury.

I love my mango bike. It runs smoothly and quietly, is comfortable and easy to manage, and looks cool - always gets admiring comments. The email inviting me to review was sent to my email, but addressed to Richard Lofthouse - who he?

I bought a 'Point Blank' & I wasn't disappointed. Great winter training bike for the drier days of winter or an ideal 'pop to the shops' bike when in 'flat pedal mode'. Really pleased :)

Having read Mango's bio I was keen to support this young upstart business. On the face of it, all seemed well. The bike looked brilliant, retailed at a competitive price, & supported a worthwhile cause (Movember special edition). However on delivery and initial use the crank arm continued to work loose. After several failed attempts to remedy the part was eventually replaced. Following this the pedal began to bend at its joint with the thread. Again efforts were made to correct & it was bent back in to line. However this only served to weaken the joint as the pedal has now sheared off. Sad to say that up to now the bike has had more time either in poor repair or broken than it has being 100% usable. Order No 00017008.

Hi Neil, I'm sorry to hear your bike had some problems. Good news is all of this is covered under warranty. Get in touch via the sales email. Thanks for your patience Mango Bikes

I have a single speed now for about 6 months. It's a great ride, light and fun. I basically use it every day for commuting, and never had any problems, never needed a repair or anything. Building it - which intimidated me a bit before buying the bike - was not a big problem. I'm very happy with the bike and would buy it again.

Mango service was fine, however I would urge you to change your courier. They were very poor at communicating delivery. It reflects poorly on your company. The bike is good.

I've had my Mango 3-speed for 2 and a bit years, it's held up pretty well doing 8 miles a day commuting pretty much 5 days a week, rain or shine. I'm starting to notice a few areas of corrosion but not on the frame (except where the odd scrape has broken through the paint). Most of the bolts have a fair amount of rust on them though and I have had trouble adjusting brake calliper tightness as a result of this. The hex sockets in these bolts seemed to round off very easily. I've been through 2 sets of tyres and 2 chains, but that is to be expected. (Apart form these two colour-coordinated parts I get other parts (brakes, tubes) from elsewhere because the ones on the Mango website are a little expensive) I've had no issues with any of the bearings (crank or wheel) There is also a little corrosion on the wheels where the valve passes through the rim and the valve locking ring has rubbed some paint away. The saddle is very comfortable and although it is now looking a little worn in terms of colour there are nothing falling apart on it. I chose Mango because of the customisation options for colours (yes, it's sad isn't it?!) and the bike still gets looks. I bought the bike through Cycle Scheme and at the time Mango did not support any cycle to work schemes. So I didn't deal with Mango directly but went through Bikelands of Exeter. The process was pretty painless though. When the bike first arrived, it had the standard black tires instead of the blue ones I ordered. This was sorted out very quickly with the right tires arriving the next day. Mango said I could keep the black tires as spares at no cost. All in all I am very pleased with my bike. I would consider getting another in a year or so. Although 3 gears is ok, it would be great if Mango could offer a 8 or 11 speed hub gear option and possibly a belt drive system. By the way, I wouldn't call myself a "cyclist". I am merely someone who uses a bike to get to work, so I'm definitely no expert.
