“Delivery was on time and bike came with clear instructions to put together , how ever my bike makes a constant clicking sound when I pedal and my rear tyre needs to be re-aligned almost weekly and that is an inconvenience . I don't feel I am getting the best out of my mango bike which is a shame as I really love how it looks .”

“I've had the bike for nearly two months now. The bike seems well put together and the gearing is perfect for hilly commutes but not so much for downhill speed. I've taken it to London many times and it's perfect for the flat rounds and the constant stopping/starting. For the price it's good but there are a large number of downfalls and issues: 1. The bike developed a clicking noise in the drive train. Mango bikes were happy to send out a replacement part and reimburse me for having a bike shop fit it. 2. It's worth the upgrade to gatorskin tyres, my kenda tyres are full of scrapes and nicks but none have fully penetrated through the tyre. However an impact on the wheel still managed to damage the inner tube through the tyre. 3. The bar tape used is just awful, it tears easily and looks years old after a couple of weeks. I've replaced it with faux-leather bar tape. 4. One of the bolts on the rear wheel is ridiculously tight, bike shops have had trouble to get it off, I'm justing hoping I don't puncture the rear wheel any time soon. The customer service from Mango bikes has been great througout, but the problems with the bike are making me reluctant to be a returning customer.”

“I've had several punctures (one this morning), have wobbled several crank arms off and at 6ft4 the bike is too small for me without increasing the stem size. The bull horn bars are very wide even for me with very broad shoulders (I replaced with drops, fitting myself). The customer service I experienced was brilliant, but I am less impressed by the bike - but then again its a budget bike. For the price its ok, but I am selling this and have already ordered a replacement more expensive bike from elsewhere.”

“Really disappointing sales experience - said it would take 6 working days, ending up taking over 20 with no updates or tracking options (I had to keep ringing and speaking to different people to find out what was going on). Then bike itself seems to have issues - frame not completely straight, brake calipers hanging too high... Again, service has been poor; really unresponsive (up to a week to respond to emails), generally responding with more questions than answers. A real shame.”

“Mango Bikes is great! I ordered my bike as my birthday gift and I can say that It was my best gift yet. I even broke the ends of the handlebar on my first ride and they sent me new ones free of charge as a gift from their side! The customer service is incredibly kind and I think that they are one of the best bike sellers, if not the best that I know. I totally recommend buying your single-speed from them!”

“10/10 for customisation options! The gearing (on the single-speed) is slightly high, even for a flat town where I live! Another slightly lower gearing option would be nice for more casual and short distance journeys. Some of the accessories didn't fit the bike like reflectors. Handlebars are quite flimsy in aluminium and end up slipping in the stem after a while of use. Needed constant tightening after that. Had a scraping noise from the wheels. I thought it was a broken bottom bracket but my brother thinks that the spokes were too tight - might be something to do with the unusual setting of the spokes.”

“My Mango Bike was easy to assemble, and it is running smoothly. It is very good value for too I think. I went with the Gatorskin tyres too which means stress-free commuting to work. A Halford bike will be cheaper, but only marginally, and these guys know what they are doing. I would recommend them.”

“I had read some negative reviews about the customer service and the quailty of bikes. I have been in customer services jobs for nearly 15 years and I know for every bad review there is hundreds of happy customers, and that's what the focus was for me. In the ideal world there would be no bad reviews, but how else would we learn? The order process was good and fun, seeing the bike and colours you choose all put together. I waited patiently and my bike arrived. Really happy and really pleased and use it every day. I had ordered the bike with caged pedals, the cages I got recieved looked cool but we're really uncomfortable. I was close to buying a different pair. Unannounced I had recieved a parcel with some fancy new caged pedals and which are so much better! I should of been told the cages I had originally ordered was out of stock and replacement was a temporary thing and they will send out the better caged pedals. More communication is needed from the company. That is my only negative! Great company to order from”

“My bike is still going strong after about 18 months of use and abuse. Its been left outside all year round and the bright green still looks good. I have upgraded to some clip in pedals and put 2 new chains due to the miles I cover and that is all :) P.s. I am Tim Golding, not Sally Bramley as it said in the email!”

“The mango single-speed is a no brainer choice for commuting and cruising. Sturdy bike with sturdy components, bargain price and personal color palette. It's not a 2 k€ hifi boutique bike but a utility object that just works while still having the personal flavor. Geometry is great as well and the bike is plain fun to ride - a great compromise between track bike agility and commuter-bike stability.”

“Mango are awesome :) I have 3 of their bikes one Single Speed, one Point R and one Point AR. I don't think i could choose a favourite either, they are all awesome 'budget' bikes and i like the minimal design on all of them. I have done the most miles on my Single Speed but plan to take my Point AR around Somerset, Devon and Cornwall this summer which should be fun! They also have an awesome customer service team as well who are always happy to help via the phone with any issues you have. Keep making cool bikes Mango :)”

“I ordered a basic single speed a couple of years ago expecting it to be cheap-and-cheerful. I'm delighted to say it is an excellent bike and far exceeded my expectations. It's been used in all winds and weathers and has been fantastic. On the few occasions that I contacted Mango (mainly to do with frame size advice) they were superb.”

“I ordered a small bike which said it would be suitable for someone at 5 foot 1" and at the same time my flatmate ordered one that was suitable for someone who was 5 foot 6" and we were sent bikes the exact same size, hers was a perfect height and mine was far too big, I have since had to get rid of the bike as it was too dangerous to ride.”
