“I opted for the customised single speed bike; I loved being able to pick different colour combinations and being able to upgrade on certain parts. Thoroughly enjoyed that design experience and that definitely made me pick Mango over other brands. Sadly though, when the bike arrived the rear wheel was broken – which really should have been spotted during assembly. Took the sheen off the purchasing experience as I had to wait for another wheel to be delivered and then obviously had to do all the labour myself. I would've appreciated Mango to have checked in after the issue as part of their customer service – as the issue was clearly an oversight on their part – but they sadly didn't. However, I'm really pleased with the bike as it rides smoothly and feels well put together. Just a shame about the mixed experience.”

“Firstly I love the bike, the variation’s you could choose was endless. However I must say that the communication was not great to be honest. After placing my order it seemed to take ages for any information to come forth. After a few emails I finally got a reply to say that they’d had a system error where some emails weren’t being delivered to the correct place. That is when they told me that they’d had a problem at the spray shop and mine would be delayed. Ok things like that can happen. But an email would have been nice. When I then got confirmation that it had be built and despatched there was no tracking information with it. Still no reply to my email. The bike did turn up a couple of days later as it says on the web site. The bike was packed well with no scratches or dents to the box. Easy to assemble. Like I say I love the bike.”

“Love my bike, loved the customisation process online, did a few drafts before settling on the final one. Only downside was it seemed to take ages from ordering to it actually arriving.”

HI Jenny What a fabulous bike! Nice customising. Yeah, your bike took just under 4 weeks from order to dispatch which is slightly longer than expected. It's usually 2-3 weeks if we've got painted frame stock but there was a delay at paint house which bumped yours back a bit. Hopefully new bike day and getting out riding will make it worth the wait! Happy cycling

“I’ve ridden many different bikes over the years but my Mango single speed is up there with bikes three times the price. They look cool, ride reliably and are great as a cruiser into town. Looking to get an 8 speed Mango this summer 👍”

“Managed to bag a neon blue ex-demo single speed bike from the Mango website for £100 less than normal retail price. Arrived nicely boxed, was easy to put together and out on the road it feels like a solid enjoyable ride, unlike some other single speed bikes I've tried. It arrived with a 44/16 gearing which is not the now Mango standard of 46/18, so changed out the freewheel out to a 17t cog (near enough 46/18 gearing equivalent) and now it's perfect. It's very customable too and looks the dogs. Buy yourself one.”

“really nice bike that arrived on time, not 5 stars because of the brakes that are wearing out super fast, but otherwise really good feeling on the ride. Wish the gear ratio was a tad higher though”

“Very attentive customer service post purchase/pre delivery. Regular updates and feedback, so excellent on that front. If there is a query, it was quickly responded to. You did run out of the colour saddle I wanted and I am waiting for an update on that. My only comment is that it would be good if you confirmed the weight of your bikes or did some lighter versions or had options for this. The one I bought from you was much heavier than expected and it would influence my decision to buy from Mango again.”

“The bike is lovely and arrived in pretty good time considering everything that's going on. There was a lack of instructions and tools, but I managed to muddle through, although still not entirely sure whether the handlebars should be covered in the two piece casing around the middle before locking them in place on the stem.. Rides really well, hills may be tough at first but that's my issue, not Mangos! Overall really happy, and so far would definitely recommend. Thumbs up from me!”

“Hi, I recently bought a pair of bike lights, one of which did not work. The correspondence since returning the faulty light has been good but I'm not sure about the whole return process. It appears from the correspondence I've had with you that I need to wait until your supplier decides my return is valid before I get a replacement. I've never came across this before, normally a return would just be dealt with by the retailer I bought it from, not their supplier. I'm sure it will be fine but I'm worried the process will take longer than it should. Kind Regards Kevin Harkins”

“Bike itself is good, when buying the bike I’m sure the ad said the bike came with Shimano gears but when I got it, they were a different brand (the website has had an update since and no longer mentions shimano) & unfortunately my bike wasn’t fitted with a mango seat, I got a bit of cheap one which I’ve since replaced as it was uncomfortable. Communication of the changes would of been appreciated considering they’re two major components. Arrived fairly promptly, 4 weeks from the order date it came and was easy to set up. Had a few long rides & the bike handles well, gears could be a bit smoother but overall I’m happy with it just a bit annoying about the gears not being as stated and me being one of the unlucky ones about the seat.”

“I absolutely love my Original single speed in classy black, I was disappointed to be contacted to say that the brown seat wasn't available as this added to the look of the bike. I was surprised when the bike arrived and turned out to be silver, I've asked several opinions and all have agreed that it looks white on the website (perhaps this could be explained on the website to avoid future confusion). I didn't receive any instructions however it was fairly simple to put together. I suppose all in all despite wanting a white bike with a brown seat and ending up with a silver bike with a black seat I'm still fairly happy. Please see attached picture and compare to the colour on the website.”

“A high quality bike let down by poor customer service. I immediately scraped off the decals on receipt, changed the saddle and handlebar caps as I would not want to be seen as an advertisement. Such a shame as the bike is so much better than others in this category. Lesson to be learnt is - Communication even if it is bad news is still communication, hearing nothing for weeks and weeks causes distress. The offer of an upgrade on wheels was appreciated but they are the same as the ones my friend received when he ordered his bike (no upgrade)”
