poor communication. Item was advertised as next day delivery which is why I ordered. After almost a week I called to be told the item was not in stock.

I am sorry you were disappointed with your order not being available for next day delivery. Although we usually keep stocks of these items we cannot always guess purchasing patterns and are occasionally caught out. This is the reason the quantity currently in stock is shown on the webpage so you may choose to shop elsewhere if none shown in stock at the time of order. Jayne Bates Customer Service

Service is excellent. They just need to sort out the website as every time you go onto a new page it disappears to the bottom of the screen making it look like the screens gone blank.

Thank you for your feedback the problem you are having with the website is not something I have heard of before or can replicate when on the website. I think it must be something to do with the settings on your computer rather than our website. I hope you can resolve this but please call us if the problem continues and we will try to help. I have used them before and everything was o.k. This time I had trouble with the website that caused the bank to stop payment and then had to be issued with new card. No feedback from Lyco as to what the problem was, just know someone hacked into getting my card details but this was the only site I used it on that day.

Lyco can assure you we take security very seriously NO credit card information is stored on any of our systems, all credit card information communicated securely under HTTPS and card information is held in the customers browser session prior to being transmitted securely again via HTTPS on to SagePay for authentication. All data is stored on our Host Server and is password protected to ensure no unauthorised access is possible. In addition, our website is secured by 'SSL Secured (128 bit) Encryption' system. All credit/debit card transactions are only processed when the order has reached our Host Server and not directly from the website. Furthermore, the charging of all credit/debit card transactions only takes places at the point of dispatch of your order and not on receipt of it. A good range of bulbs enabling selection of eg high power/low physical volume/unusual cap (which was what I wanted). Swift delivery. Prices comparable to supermarkets but better range (+) and non-zero delivery cost (-). Probably better for a bulk buy (which I could not do) because of effectively reduced shipping overhead. I mark the bulbs as excellent but of course the life time is the most important thing and I have no idea of performance there as yet.(As an aside: why can we not get back to a single standard cap fitting, as I recall being pretty much the case twenty years ago?!)
