“"Retired oak whisky barrels, cut and dried to produce oak smoking chunks with a lovely hit of whisky - you can smell it as soon as you open the bag!" I have bought Whisky barrels from other companies before and normally there is a Whisky smell, sadly not this time.”

Hi Matt, Sorry to hear you're disappointed with the smell of your chunks. As you can imagine when we buy retired whisky wood, by its nature there will always be some variability in what we receive... how long the barrels were empty, how dry they have got and how long the wood is in our warehouse before we ship it will all make a difference. However, I'd like to reassure you these are genuine whisky barrel oak and will still impart wonderful flavour on your food when burned. Happy smoking 🔥 Paul

“Fast delivery, good strong packaging for each type of wood. Wood quality is excellent with all bark stripped off and extremely low moisture content. Very happy.”

“Great website and great products. I bought the little firefighters for our chiminea and they work perfectly, keeping the flame going long enough to light the kindling and logs. Best of all it’s all made natural products. Good price too, which always helps.”

“I have recently got the BBQ Ultimate bundle and wow it is absolutely incredible. The charcoal burns clean, hot and last and a long time. The smoking woods are amazing too, adds great flavours to whatever you are cooking. Really impressed with these products”

“Excellent quality oak splits, I order wood for my smoker and Argentine grill and they burn down perfectly, creating excellent coals and clean smoke to produce beautiful flavour on the food I'm cooking. I will be ordering a lot more in the future. 10 out of 10 for value and quality.”
