“I strongly recommend this business. New to the BBQ world, I was wanting to improve my cooking flavours. I was amazed, as were my guests by the impact that high quality charcoal has on a cook. It was transformative, for example, to the flavour of sweetcorn. Ditto souvlaki chicken and vegetable skewers. I will, quite simply, never go back to supermarket charcoal again. It's like going from instant to 'real' coffee. Love Logs were prompt, communicated welland delivered on quality. I can't wait to try the impact of wood pellets on my slow-cooked brisket this weekend. Wow!!!! Thank you so much Jon, this is the type of review that makes it all worthwhile 😍 There are so many things about good charcoal that make a difference to your food - the complete carbonation, the single species woods used, the high temperatures you can reach - and I'm so glad you found it! The cherry and apple chunks are going to take you to a whole new level!!! I'd go for cherry with beef, apple may be a little too subtle. Thanks so much for your review! Paul

“I first saw Love Logs collaboration video on YouTube with Shropshire Lad. So thought I'd give the Charcoal, Cherry chunks and natural fire lighters a whirl. Although I am very impressed with the the lot, I had a problem with one bag of Holm Oak Charcoal but the other was fine. After raising the issue with Love Logs, they apologised and compensated me according. The customer services has been superb and I will be continuing to use them going forward”

Hi Sean, Sorry to hear you've had a bit of a problem with a bag of the holm oak. I'm happy to sort you a free bag of charcoal out to replace the one you weren't happy with and I'd appreciate any photos you can have, so I can share them with the manufacturer - the bags like this are the exception rather than the norm, but we knew it would happen occasionally. It's definitely a more rustic product than our British charcoal and this is really just the nature of the product - it's made by artisanal charcoal makers with low level equipment, rather than being made in factory conditions like a lot of big brands. Hi Sean, Thanks for understanding that sometimes things go wrong, and giving us the chance to fix it! For anyone reading this review - the holm oak charcoal is a rustic product, rather than being produced under factory conditions like big brands it's produced in rural settings with traditional equipment. This means the odd bag might have some quality issues - but on balance, I promise you it's brilliant product that will elevate your outdoor cooking. See you again soon Sean! Paul

“I have been struggling to find decent quality pellets for my Pit Boss smoker. I had ordered a large bag from another brand, who's claims of clean burns and no ash, we're completely untrue, which left me having to clean out my ash pot after every cook and almost cause a fire in my pellet hopper. This led me to look at LoveLogs. I really bought in to their ethos as a company so I thought I would a bag of their cherry wood blend pellets a go. Delivery was really quick and once the sun had come out I cracked open the bag and tipped the entire contents in to my hopper. It sounds silly but the pellets looked really good quality and they smelt amazing. I have only had one cook so far but I am impressed. The smoke was clean and the smell was really good, better than any other pellets I have tried. My pork steaks had a really nice smoke ring and tasted amazing. I will definitely be using LoveLogs again and will be buying a few bags in one go. The only shame is that they don't come in bigger bags.”

“After seeing Love logs on YouTube I decided to give them a go as I’m always looking at ways make bbq better for my family. The lump wood charcoal I received is exceptional and we recently catered for 40 friends and family and it performed incredibly well.
