“I wanted to price check a survey vs my mortgage lender. I was then bombarded with surveyors touting their business. One or two I don’t mind but it was ridiculous”

“After getting a quote/estimate you are then bombarded with calls and emails from Surveyors. If I wanted to be contacted I would have requested it or contact companies that were returned as part of the search that I thought would be good to contact.”

“Hi I was looking for a chartered building surveyor in my local area who can provide building certificates but none of the company’s who made contact over these services. In my application I did state that I was converting a barn and was in need of a chartered surveyor. Never the less, the search continues!!”

“I put in my postcode which is MK16 for Newport Pagnell expecting to be put in touch with some local electricians. I only had calls from people in Luton or Bedford. Not what I would consider local. I will bin this and look myself for someone within a couple of miles. I don’t know why I was put into Luton group, would not have submitted my details if I thought this was the case”

“I went onto your site to look at what was available in my area. Not for you to give my contact details to various suppliers, who have been contacting me without my consent. I will never use your site again. I found the whole experience intrusive. You need a better set of terms that make it very clear what you are doing and better yet give me the option not to share my data if I'm just researching/not ready to talk to your members.”

“I only wanted to look at a comparison of local traders. I did not want my contact details spooling out to them all so I was bombarded with emails and phone calls. At no point was it explained that this would happen neither was I given the opportunity to refuse being contacted or select a preferred contact method.”

“I went on the website but left blank what I required to be advised on. Instead of getting a message back asking what my requirement was ( or "please fill in requirements" message ) I got messages from local surveyors direct offering me a house electrical check for £180 and various other irrelevant replies. The website should have asked what I wanted to enquire about rather than just sending me random emails of no relevance to me. Very poor website.”

“I was contacted by an elctrician md.Khan ,who said will come the next day.Even phoned me.Buth the enxt day he messaged to say he will be late.Then messaged again to say he will come in evening.I messaged him few times to say its ok even if he came late as we cancelled all our appointments for that day and stayed at home for him to come.But he never came and not even replied back to my message.It was a very unprofessional behaviour and waste of time as a family”
