“They selected 'suitable' electricians, quoted a fee for what was to be done but the electrician in question almost tripled that figure when he responded. Not much help really!”

“wanted surveyor to check the loft and this was not done as surveyor did not have a ladder as I understand, also could not give details if the local area had any history subsidence. I telephoned Christchurch Council to obtain the information. Surveyor did not know if the cavity walls was insulated or not. I asked the owner if the new if the walls were insulated and they said no they are not insulated, the reason for this was that they did not want the holes drilled into the wall, also at the back of the house there were vertical tiles and they did want to take the tiles off to enable for the holes to be drilled. My experience of surveyors from past is not good”

“The company used had to be reminded and chased for an answer on what date it was going to be carried out. If possible use someone recommended I would say. All a little bit perfunctory, not a great customer experience.”

“Bit u/s. 2 of 5 were "too busy". 1 accepted then declined a week later, " too far" ..despite having S.E. (south east) in their e/mail address. 1 emailed from Southampton then didn't follow up my answer phone message or further e/mail. Will look locally. These were time wasters and "cherry pickers" Would not recommend site or them.”

“Using this service is akin to writing your contact details down on flyers and handing them out to a bunch of surveyors. As a service, it certainly delivers on allowing surveyors to contact you, but in this day and age I feel like quotes could be managed by the site. Rather than doing that, however, you just get a barrage of emails and calls. The service is alright, nothing special.”

“I was a bit concerned that so many people called my number. I wasn't aware that I had completed my application.....so not very happy. Also there were very few details concerning whether or not these particular work people were RIBA registered. Customer telephone numbers should be reserved and not given out to tradespeople. Thank you.”

“Reading the info it stated surveying the property takes couple of hrs for a homebuyers report your first recommendation took 15-20 minutes for a homebuyers report and out the door he went”

“connected me with a surveyor. let's see how they go. O i thought this website review would have a downsides section too, not just the "what made you happy" bit. knock another star off for almost biasing the results. Downsides are that the comparison listing didn't hyperlink / refer to any websites, only some contact details e.g. phone numbers and had to scroll right down to see those almost missed them. not all answering quickly maybe old or not ideal details. &One apparently listing wrong prices so a waste of my time, after this guy not responding to emails for 3 days. Obviously this isn't the comparison site's fault or maybe it is if they're not bothering to suitably police the contacts they appear to be recommending.”

“Explained exactly my conveyancing needs and you gave several estimates for the job. I chose one of the firms and restated my conveyancing needs as before and explained that I had an estimate through your website. Lawcomm were the firm I chose and they said the couldn't possibly do the job for the price estimate but would be prepared to give me a new price. Very little point in getting a price through your website when it is not honoured by the participating firms.”

“Yes they will list you a surveyor. They will also sell your e mail and phone number to quite a list, so you will be bombarded with calls and emailsfrom conveyancers, mortgage brokers for quite a few days. Never use them again”

“Two of the five quotes were inaccurate. Possibly under pricing to obtain the work. Unique Solicitors quoted stamp duty around £3,500 less than it should be. Bespoke Law Services Quote not only had the stamp duty wrong they made gross errors when showing VAT payable. Again less than it actually was. If these are the kind of conveyancers you have on your books for quotes I would rather look elsewhere.”
