“I guess it is confusing - it says you’re a comparison website, so naturally you do the form to then see quotes so you can go away and then contact who you want… instead you actually sign yourself up to be inundated with emails from businesses that think you have personally enquired with them. It was really unhelpful and ended up making a simple enquiry into something quite overwhelming”

“Although the response was provided with possible assessors with which I made contact with one who did not respond until a week later but sent me a text to say he was running late. I did not make any booking. After confirming a time/date address then failed to show.”

“Being inundated with firms wanting me to use them was not helpful. And lots of emails. A simple list of available electricians and a little introduction is all I needed. The fact that I was phoned, unsolicited, was very intrusive. Thsi was by a company with 'global' in the title - well I was immediately doubtful about them. I spoke to an electrician Richard who was fine, but passed me through to a booking office - when I was told I needed to pay a about £78 deposit, made me realise this is not for me, and so I declined. I did chose the most human sounding individual, based on his introduction and he was fine, booked me in and demanded no deposit. So a simpler system, less intrusive would help; and more personal, optional (not cold call) contact was the more successful one!”

“He appeared to be more interested in talking to his colleague about personal things. He stated we had a chimney breast on his report which we don’t. Also stated there was rot on the facia boards on the porch which there isn’t. He also identified issues as a maybe! without qualifying them. Concerned about the accuracy of the surveys he carries out.”

“Not something I would use again as got bombarded with emails and phone calls within a minute of being on the site. All I wanted was some company names and numbers to ring myself. I'm now having to block all the calls as its constant”
