“I wanted LOCALLY BASED Chartered Surveyors but most of the quotes were from what appear to be call centre type organistaions based miles away and not knowing the area. LOCAL SUREYORS seems to be a misnomer.”

“I was exceptionally concerned that one of the assessors in my search, Mr Smart of Smart Survey is advertising as being accredited by Quidos. Having checked the register he isn’t. I asked him why this is the case and he then claims he is accredited with Stroma. On further investigation from both Quidos and Stroma it appears he is suspended from practice. This is shocking! Went with another local firm instead.”

“the website offers quotes and tells YOU to get in touch with companies if interested in following up. It doesn't tell you to be prepared to be bombarded with emails and calls! Wouldn't use again.”

“I have not had one quote from your suggested Electricians to do work at my house? Is the job not big enough for them? I tend to try a profession out with a small job, see how they do and when bigger jobs come about, you know whom to ask?”

“It was a hoax request made using my contact details. I did email you this information but you did nothing to inform the companies on the list. Needless to say they continued to waste their time and money contacting me. Wasting my time further too. I suggest you improve your website ( assuming that was where the bogus request came originated) so that an initial email is sent to the supplied email address and only after a confirmation reply is received back to you will there be any further action taken by your company. If this was highlighted on your website I am sure these hoax requests would dry up. The companies allied to your website would then have much more confidence in your site too. Unfortunately there are many, many websites that allow these scam requests and I have been inundated with emails and phone calls from equity release, house and car selling, plumbers/ cleaners, windows, etc. even being signed up to sex websites. The sooner things are changed either voluntarily or government ruling the better.”
