“I enquired about whether I have to use a decoupling membrane and was informed that I had misread my own UFH spec. What I was proposing was not sufficient. (Saved already from own mistake). Lilley T&S recommended a product that they do not sell that solved my problem but met my spec. I made sure I went back for my purchase of Schluter Ditra 25 as they were cheapest anyway. Professional business with helpful professional knowledge. First stop for me next time. Thanks 5*”

“Whilst the order was delivered promptly with the delivery driver contacting by phone to confirm ease of delivery it was NOT appreciated when an AUTOMATIC TEXT CAME THROUGH AT 3.00AM ON THE LANDLINE WAKING UP THE WHOLE HOUSE! THIS WAS PARTICULARLY ANNOYING AS THE ITEMS HAD BEEN DELIVERED OVER 12 HOURS EARLIER. The delivery would have scored excellent apart from what seems to be a very poor notification system. It would be appreciated if this could be sorted out and I only hope other people have not been disturbed in the same way!”

David. We apologise that you were woken up at such an awful hour. Unfortunately we are unable to control delays in the texting system/phone company used by our couriers and I would expect in this case an error that a text was sent to a landline. However, we will pass your comments back to the couriers responsible and ask them to be more digilent when entering their delivery information. Apologies once again.

“Delivery was attempted but nobody was in (nobody rang to inform us of when delivery would be). My wife received a phone call to her that the order now has to be collected and the details would be sent to me by email (no card was left regarding order). I have received no email (checked spam, etc) and now have know way of contacting delivery company, I hope to receive a phone call from you given this review ASAP. Shockingly bad service, I cannot review products as I don't have them but will be sure to inform the social network community not to use Lilley Tile and Stone but hope to have to good news soon i.e. the stuff I ordered!”

Nathan, we're very sorry that you've had a bad experience on this occasion. We continue to run tests with gmail/hotmail etc as spam filters and blocks can be over zealous at times. This is a constant battle with some companies due to the email traffic through our site but both gmail and hotmail currently remain clear for blocks. However, we are still running ongoing tests with gmail to ensure notification mails are received successfully. All orders placed via the website, and all new accounts, automatically send out a confirmation email, so if this is not received by the customer we will normally be notified, and contact the customer directly. Also customers who wish to interrogate their order status can login to the website and view their account/order details there.

“THE EPOXY GROUT I PURCHASED WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LOCALLY, i ORDERED VIA LILLEY & STONE ON THE INTERNET AFTER A RECOMMENDATION TO FIND THEIR SITE. “I must say that my order on line was dealt with very expediously by your member of staff Indeed his reply that the actual product was out of stock until January and he was prepared to upgrade the product so that I could get as soon as possible was a real bonus and showed the company in very good light . In fact I have now completed the work as the order arrived the very next day . I cannot say anything other than it has been excellent service from your Company throughout Gordon Davies”
