Delivery arrived in a few days but....... the light fitting was there but the two halogen lights were not sent and I had paid for them. Please can you forward them.

Service was quick but I found it difficult to find bulbs I needed. Online help not as good as other companies I have used. Return service good

Lights look great and were delivered safely and quickly but can't comment on their function yet as not installed in our new home yet. However, I was very annoyed at having to pay for delivery to the Highlands of Scotland when the t&c states that delivery is free. I am pretty sure that Parcel Force who delivered them don't charge extra for delivering to the mainland just a wee bit north of Inverness. This is the first time I have been charged extra for delivery because of my address.

Several emails regarding delivery including an incorrect link. Delivery days changed a couple of times without explanation. I rang about the bad link and was told someone would reply, this did not happen. I later emailed and that was replied too.

one of the ceiling lights had penetrated the box it was in. all the plastic air bags were on the top and had not stayed evenly above and below the box that the light was in. The white metal of the light was distorted about 4mm on one corner. the electrician was able to straighten this defect. I suggest that the plastic bags are tied around the cardboard box with the lamps to prevent all the air bags going to one side of the box. Luckily this was able to be remedied. I have saved the box showing where the fitting pierced the end. Would you like me to send it to you.? Had this not be remediable I would have had to pay the electrician for a wasted journey SO I THINK THIS IS QUITE IMPORTANT

Having been given two different dates for delivery, both of which passed without receipt of goods, I was telephoned to advise that the item was out of stock and had been ever since I placed my order! I was then given a new delivery date of 12th August which was fine as that followed my return from holiday. I stressed that the delivery must not be made before 8th August as we would be away. That request was completely ignored as it was delivered on 31st July to a neighbour. Not impressed!

The products and value for money were spot on 5 stars. Sadly let down by the delivery company they used, HERMES. Quite the worst courier company on the planet. They make everything worse by hiding behind an impenetrable wall to make it impossible to resolve any problems. I will buy products from Lighting-Direct again but definitely not if they use HERMES again.

I am waiting for a dispute to be resolved so my review is negative due to the inconvenience and loss of money this item caused me. However the other items I received seem to be as described and normal quality. I returned a reading lamp that was in their clearance sale that was damaged when I received it but the returns department at Lighting - direct are implying that I damaged it and refused to accept the return by a refund. It was a reading lamp that was made in China and had a two pin plug rather than a UK plug. That aside, the lamp was atrociously packaged in a rough box that had been bumped about and was held together with white tape that oozed glue. The polystyrene inside the box was cellotapetd up but already broken; it held the base of the lamp, but the shade was just packed loose in the box and it was dented. The whole lamp appeared not to be of reasonable quality, the shade thin and cardboard-like. I did not like it and it was damaged. I phoned Lighting -direct immediately and was emailed instructions of how to return it. I did not like the returns service using DPD. Nothing wrong with DPD but the website was unclear about the pick up point and with numerous instructions and it did not confirm immediately that the booking had been accepted - it said it emailed a return sticker but did not attach to the first email. The attachment arrived later and as I tried again, it ended up booking the return 3 times and deducting £15 from my bank just to return a poorly packed, shoddy £50 sale lamp. Personally I don't think I will deal with this company again, because I cannot be sure of the quality of the goods they are selling nor of their ability to give customer service. I have yet to see if they will believe me and actually change their mind about not refunding me. So far this mistake has cost me £65. It has cost them a customer.

They could sell at a reasonable price.... wish I'd never started with techmar plug and play it's well too overpriced

Product was as described and posted promptly. However this particular porch light instructions on how to fit I found difficult to understand. I ended up getting my local electrician to fit it and even he found it 'fiddly'!

Delivery first rate. The online site was easy to navigate. Charged twice for delivery as I ordered lamps separately.. Orders placed 3 mins apart. Asked for discretionary refund..denied. NOT good Customer Relations.

Shade and bulbs 2 deliveries 2 separate days, unnecessary packaging,.Poor delivery planning !!! My time wasted having to wait in twice !!!

This was a birthday gift for my daughter on 17th May. I was originally told that delivery would be 15th May, which was okay. I then received a communication to say that the item was now going to be delivered on 21st. She lives in Oxfordshire, so she didn't get it in time for her Birthday. So now I have to make another trip to get it to her. Really annoying and dissapointing.
