Placed an order on 6th May for two items, one of which was listed as “ready to dispatch” and the other with a 5–7 working day lead time. Weeks passed with no communication from Lighting Direct. After emailing customer service on 19th May, the supposedly ready-to-dispatch item was suddenly shipped the following day. To date, I’ve still received no response regarding the second item or any explanation for the delay.

Been a shambles from the start. Placed order online which stated all items were in stock. No confirmation of delivery so phoned customer services who advised 1 item would be late and full order would be desptached Monday. Requested e-mail confirmation of this and that didn’t happened. Phoned again to find out it would take a week for them to receive the item for another warehouse in the UK and I had been advised incorrectly!!! Requested a part shipment received e-mail confirmation for next day delivery and guess what items still have not turned up. If this is how they treat a trade customer heaven help normal customers.

I ordered 2 lights. One of them arrived with the glass completely smashed. The packaging was not fit for purpose. I had to send them back.

It came all smashed up, no fragile sticker on the box, limited protection inside - literally just some wrapping paper for a glass light

Have not recieved my goods, total scam! Had a message saying my good were delivered and i was in all day working the other side of the front door. i have video evidence on no one coming to the property front or back. the links on the track my order on fed ex say that it is outside of the us and canada so i cannot do anything. i keep getting told they will come back to me with a solution and they dont. i am not calling them again. i am contacting my bank and trding standards. scam company.

Unfortunately these lights are not fit for purpose, the weight it far to heavy for the magnet and all four fell down, taking with them paint and plaster as well has damaging the pictures underneath. Complete waste of money, and now I have to fix all the damage which they have created.

It said when we bought the light it was in stock . You took our money. Then told us it would be months before our light could be delivered. NOT GOOD!!!!!!!

I can only review you on your choice of courier as I have not yet received the lights, Should have arrived yesterday by 6.00pm. Tracking information fine upto 2.00pm when the lights arrived at depote a few miles from my house. No information since then. A terrible delivery service from this courier. I will not use FedEx or a compancy that uses them in the future.

Lights arrived with incorrect plugs (european not UK, despite no mention of this on the site or order) - I contacted customer services to ask for a replacement. They initially responded saying they're just sold like that and the package contains convertors (it didn't), they then said they would send replacement (they didn't) and they're now ignoring my emails. Customer service is very poor and definitely won't be ordering from here again.

Returned items, was very disappointed to find that it was plastic for this price and after double checking the description. If I wanted plastic I would have bought the one in ikea for £7. Gutted as hate wasting my time.

Very disappointed with the customer service. Have emailed several times how, to no avail. The lights were advertised as being indoor/outdoor but when they arrived, they were described as indoor. This is not what I wanted. Since then I have emailed and still no reply
