“From the beginning Cathy was hard to reach. We have been working with her for five months now, without success, and have given up. She doesn't answer her phone, instead you get a recorded message to send her an email. Except that she doesn't give her email address! She said right away that our best route for refinancing would be to roll over with the existing lender ... but never told us the endless series of additional information that would be needed. Her excuse always was "they've never been this bad", or "I didn't know they would ask for this". Surely a professional broker should verify what is needed, tell us, check it's all in order, and proceed to the finish, not muddle through hoping for the best. I used John Charcol for my first property years ago and had great service ... now I will think twice before using them again.”

“From the very beginning Alex and Tom worked hard to get me the best mortgage offer for the mortgage that best suited my requirements. They have saved me a small fortune. “Excellent interview to select the products with all options clearly laid out with an understanding and appreciation of our needs and wishes. Good liaison with JC through the initial application - when it was rejected another lender was found quickly and we proceeded to completion very quickly.”

“Hayley Sydes and Matt Gibson have been brilliant in enabling me to remortgage my home and reduce the overall term of the mortgage so I can be mortgage free much sooner than I would have been! Hayley particularly was exceptional in keeping me posted on what was happening with regard to the mortgage lender and their solicitors acting on their behalf. Although it should have been a relatively smooth process the solicitors weren't quite as smooth as either Hayley or I would have hoped. Hayley followed it all through with utmost professionalism and she is a great asset to the John Charcol brand. She demonstrates excellent customer service.”

“Celeste did an absolutely fantastic job of quickly finding us a great deal on a remortgage that both saved us over £100 a month and allowed us to do exactly what we needed to with the lump sum. Getting the paperwork together was made really simple as Celeste did a lot of the legwork for us. Once this was done, Hayley and Gemma worked tirelessly to get us to completion in the face of some issues between the lender and the conveyancer, updating me daily on progress and likely completion date. I'd definitely use John Charcol again, it was so much faster and simpler than when we sorted a mortgage ourselves last time! Thank you all very much, from a very happy customer.”

“I found Dave extremely helpful and on the ball. We were given various options and in the end we chose to stay with our current provider. Right before we were due to submit the application, he discovered that they were due to come out with a lower interest rate and we were notified immediately. This saved us a considerable amount of money and we are best pleased. Extremely happy with the service we received and we would highly recommend.”

“I have just received my remortgage offer which is enabling me to move all my financial outgoings under one affordable monthly payment within 4 weeks of starting the process with John Charcol. The knowledge and expertise shown by their Team, and in particular my personally assigned consultant, Jessica Childs, has been invaluable. Jessica has gone above and beyond the service I would have expected to receive, providing me with detailed information every step of the way and putting in considerable time and effort in researching/sourcing the best possible remortgage deal for me with a very reputable lender. I cannot thank Jessica enough for all her assistance and firmly believe she is a great asset to John Charcol with her professional, but also very approachable, manner, which has made what can often be a very stressful process much less so for me. My personal thanks go to Jessica for keeping me advised of progress throughout by the most convenient form of communication to me, i.e. email, and for moving things along as quickly as feasibly possible.”

“I found the service to be so quick and professional. This isn't my first mortgage, far from it, but I don't think i would use anyone else now. They gave me regular updates and were such good value for money. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to friends and family either.”
