“I would highly recommend John Charcol and my advisor Kathryn Nield, who was extremely helpful in finding me my mortgage. I cannot thank her enough. Kathryn frequently kept me updated on the progress of purchasing my house, and gave me all the support I needed in finding the best product. I completed my purchase a year ago, and every month I get a Monthly Home Report from John Charcol informing me if my mortgage is still the best product at that time. I look forward to working with John Charcol and Kathryn when my mortgage needs updating”

“I have been delighted by the service I have received from James Clark with respect to the insurance I was looking for. He provided clear information and I was pleased with his pragmatic approach and not offering cover that was not needed. In particular Chantelle Parker and Shaun Boyle were super helpful and really good at getting us a good mortgage product which was perfect for us and our situation and needs. “My partner and I approached Edward to help us purchase our first home back in 2025. With his knowledge and expertise, Edward was in regular contact providing us with updates and often checked in to make sure we were okay. Whilst this was a daunting time for us, Edward was supportive and put our minds at ease. No question was a silly question when we were unsure. “Randeep Sodhi of John Charcol was recommended to us by family for his professionalism and expertise. We were not disappointed as he worked with us for over four months to secure a mortgage that met our needs. With one of us working in the UK and one out, the number of possible lenders was small but he kept looking. His knowledge and support were at the highest level throughout and kept us on top of the minutiae required by the lender. He was also tenacious in following through with the solicitors. “Me and my partner are first time buyer so sorting out a mortgage is a big scary thing to do. We had Edward Coombs as our mortgage advisor and I honestly couldn’t recommend him enough to anyone. He helped explain everything to us, he went through everything clear so we understood and he was easily contactable when we needed him. He is a very lovely and friendly guy to talk to. We honestly can’t thank him enough.”

“Customer service from Shak Bhairon (one of the mortgage advisors) was excellent. She spent many weeks chasing up different lenders for an expat buy to let mortgage and worked hard to get me an offer due to my particular circumstances. I would recommend JC and Shak in particular especially for complicated mortgages (expat, self-employed etc.). Excellent service!”

“We have worked with John Charcol on our initial applications for the mortgage and life cover in 2023/2024, and again in 2025/2026 for our remortgage and cover review. Both times have been an absolute pleasure and really helped to put our worries at bay. Holly Grant has been very personable, helping with our protection options, helping us to get the best cover for our situation and family. This has been a really excellent service, thorough and providing the best cover. Protection can be a tricky thing to discuss, but Holly made it a comfortable and informative experience. Alex Bowden has also been wonderful on the mortgage front, getting in touch well ahead of our rate expiring, and keeping us informed of the possible better rates that we're eligible for. He has been understanding of our plans and helped us to seek the best solution. Alex is supported by a great team including Emma Moores, who have helped to manage the solicitors as we go to remortgage. We are very grateful for the whole team at John Charcol who we've worked with, and look forward to engaging again in the future!”
