“Professional, efficient service and very pleased with the smooth re-mortgaging on my 2 properties. Started the process with David King and Chelsea Stewart at John Charcoal in March and completed both without hiccup in June! They are knowledgable, helpful and friendly to deal with and would recommend David and Chelsea to anyone who requires help in their mortgage. “Excellent service received from Pravin Varsani (Senior Mortgage & Protection Consultant) at John Charcol. Presented Pravin with a request that I needed to raise funds in excess of 150k to fund a second phase of a home building project. I needed an answer in principle at very short notice to keep the building project moving ahead as it neared completion of the first phase. I presented Pravin with the details of a BTL investment property that I was looking to release equity from to facilitate the borrowing. Pravin very cleverly structured a 2 part arrangement by firstly moving my existing BTL mortgage lender to a new provider and in doing so saving me £980 per month on mortgage repayments! The second part of the structure was to use the £980 monthly savings to put towards the second charge secured loan on the BTL property to raise the required funds required for phase 2 of the building project. All said and done I have more than achieved what I originally set out to in raising the required funds at a very low additional overall monthly cost. Thank you again to Pravin who clearly understands the detail involved in re-mortgaging to best deals in the market and in thereby creating viable opportunity to leverage.”

“Returning to the UK in 2014 after 20 years in Cyprus, and with little capital; my wife (60) and I (86) thought we had no hope of owning our own home again. The article in the Financial Section of The Sunday Times in November 2015, relating to the change of attitude to mortgages for the over 65's, changed our lives. On June 13th 2016, we move into our own bungalow, and without the help, perseverance and sheer determination of our broker, Tom Sandell, this would not be happening. Thank you; our praise could not be higher.”

“Very efficient and friendly - easy to do business with. Good relationship with key points of contact Strong communication in explaining what is happening/has happened. In contrast to Building Society's Solicitors who were painful to engage with and very slow. You took away most of this pain for me (although the inefficiency of these solicitors did delay completion although for me that did not matter particularly). Excellent overall. Will recommend to others. Chris”

“Excellent customer service and Amir was very very diligent with all the paperwork. Our application was not straight forward because I am a director and own my own company. amir was very patient and thorough. A lot of people would have found it too much trouble. “I dealt with Matt Gibson in the first instance who was professional and very knowledgeable throughout the whole process, from start to finish. I am rather forgetful/slow with sorting paperwork, he was very patient and personally I would recommend him to anyone and have done to a fellow colleague. I also like that if he said he would do something, you know it would be done. Happy customer :)”

“Jonathan Smith, the partner that handled our account made a potentially very difficult process run smoothly. He offered us highly competitive options that others could not find, and when the chain collapsed at one point the speed with which he proposed a solution was impressive. Jonathan deserves praise for his professionalism, calmness under pressure and for his patience in determining the needs of his clients before providing a practical and tailor-made solution. In an age of tick-box, computer controlled systems it was a pleasure to deal with someone that was able to think out of the box... I have no hesitation in recommending his services.”

“Tim Ward of John Charcol arranged our mortgage and he was extremely friendly, professional and efficient. He understood exactly what we required and organised everything for us and took all the stress and hardwork away from us. He was always contactable and even though our house buying process took six months in the end due to the chain falling through twice he often contacted us to find out how were doing and helped us sort out a very good house insurance quote as well. He arranged our formal mortgage offer incredibly fast and we would highly recommend him and John Charcol.”

“The company's representative was honest straightforward and did what he said he would do. Re-mortgage was arranged efficiently and painlessly. Company kept us informed of progress on a regular basis and took care of the odd hiccup saving us the trouble. All in all a very good pro-active service provider who has access to mortgage rates not found on line.,”
